狂人语录：“新托福考试”不过如此
新托福考试中115分得主的备考心得大奉送
考试过程和⼝语准备我于2007年8⽉25⽇参加了新托福iBT的考试，成绩下来后是阅读、听⼒各29，⼝语27，写作30。
⽼实说，我正式准备托福的时间并不长，从7⽉初到8⽉底也就⼀个半⽉多点，最后115分的成绩应该说还算是半个惊喜吧。
其实要说⼼得，个⼈还是⽐较惭愧的，尤其和很多每天花⼤把时间背单词、做练习的勤奋同学相⽐的话，我的功夫都下在了⼝语⽅⾯，因为这是挑战性也最没把握的部分。
要在45秒或者60秒内说出⼀段结构完整、语意流畅、语法正确的论述，是有相当难度的。
在这⼀点上，阳光暑期的⼝语课对我帮助甚⼤。
⽼师在课上讲到的闪光词汇、各题模板以及常见题⽬列表都⾮常实⽤，直接针对考试本⾝。
有了这些东西作为准备话题组织语⾔的底⼦，只要好好练习应该就不会太差了。
⼝语⼀定要多练习，上课能说就说。
为了熟悉模板，也为了克服⼀看见计时就紧张得不知所措的⼼理，我回家⾃⼰掐表练习。
考试的时候我还是吃了这个亏：第三题先读再听，我说的时候⼀激动忘了读的内容，后来虽然想起来了但没有办法符合逻辑地加进去。
事实证明我就是campus-related topics这⼀部分得了个fair，其他都是good。
如果多做些练习就不会这样了。
tips：如果练习录⾳中出现太多语⽓词，下场可以稍微放慢语速，⼀边说⼀边想下⾯的话。
只要还在正常语速范围内，慢⼀点⽐没完没了的“ah”，“er”，“you know”要好多了。
写作的准备写作是我⽐较得意的部分。
TOEFL对作⽂的要求其实不算⾼，归结起来也就三点：结构，语法，逻辑。
哪怕单⼑直⼊⼀句话开头，中间的论点也不怎么独树⼀帜，结尾还是⼀句话点出主题，这些都没关系，⼀样有可能是⾼分作⽂。
在课上⽼师会提供⼀些模板，没把握的同学可以稍微改动⼀下往⾥套，有⾃信的同学也可以⽤⽐较⾃由的形式，但⼀定要学学⽼师⽤过的那些说法。
像什么“cast doubt on”啊，“swept the position of”啊，能记就记点，尤其在integrated writing中绝对⽅便得多。
新版托福词汇题
新版托福词汇题咱们都知道，托福考试里的词汇题就像是一个个小怪兽，等着咱们去打败。
它可不是随随便便就能搞定的事儿。
这些词汇题有时候会拿出一些看起来很眼熟，但意思又模棱两可的单词。
就好比你认识一个人，你觉得你知道他是谁，可真到了关键时刻，你又不太确定他到底是干啥的了。
比如说“ambiguous”这个词，你平常可能见过，大概知道是模糊不清的意思，可在托福词汇题里，它可能会跟一些长得很像或者意思有点接近的词混在一起，就像一群双胞胎站在你面前，你得费点劲才能分清谁是谁。
做新版托福词汇题的时候，可不能只靠死记硬背单词表。
那感觉就像是你只知道一个人的名字，却不知道他的脾气秉性一样。
你得把单词放到句子里，甚至是放到整篇文章的语境里去理解。
就像你要了解一个人，不能光听别人说他叫啥，还得看他平时怎么说话，怎么做事情，跟什么样的人打交道。
一个单词在不同的语境里可能会有不同的含义。
比如说“charge”这个词，它可以是“充电”的意思，像“charge my phone”（给我的手机充电）；也可以是“负责”的意思，像“in charge of”（负责……）；还可以是“收费”的意思，像“charge for this service”（对这项服务收费）。
在托福词汇题里，要是不看语境，那可就容易选错啦。
再说说那些长得特别像的单词吧，它们就像是一群调皮的小精灵，故意来捣乱的。
像“affect”和“effect”，这两个词就老是让人混淆。
“affect”大多时候是个动词，表示影响，就像一阵风吹过，会影响树叶的摆动；而“effect”大多时候是个名词，表示效果或者影响产生的结果，就像是风过后树叶摆动的那种状态。
要是在词汇题里遇到它们，可得小心分辨，不然就掉进陷阱里去了。
还有一种情况呢，有些单词的意思特别生僻。
这就好比你在一个小镇上生活，突然来了一个外乡人，他说的话你从来没听过一样。
这时候你就得动用你平时积累的那些知识啦。
比如说“arcane”这个词，表示神秘的、晦涩难懂的。

之前听人说起ibt，都是一副“我不下地狱谁下地狱”的样子，真正经历过这个被称为“我
变态”的考试，才觉得，不过如此。
最后的成绩其实也不是十分理想，当初看到周围好多115+的大牛，给自己定的下限是
110 。虽然最后没达到，但是想想那段日子正逢期中考，大实验也是接二连三，搞得自己
只腾出两天复习的时间，我觉得，要是没有考前突击一段日子，估计会彻底失败的……
考试的日子到了，自己觉得挺早出发的，可是到了考场发现已经排了好长的队，大家都
怕去晚了别人都口语了自己还听力，太影响效果。结果是倒数三四个的样子进去的，心想糟
了。等我做到听力的时候，就是几乎全考场的人都在口语的时候T_T 。不过比网上流传的
要好，也许平时听歌看电视什么的就喜欢调小音量，那个bar足够让我抵挡住其他人的大声
嚷嚷了。
分出来了，阅读差了点，只有28，就是惩治我这种临阵磨枪没好好背单词搞得词汇题
都不会的结果。听力正常吧，虽然有的地方开了点小差。口语很差，因为当时来不及，只是
看了几个重点题目的提纲，基本没自己练过，于是挂了。写作……怪就怪我自己手欠，临交
卷时候在开头添了一句，结果没写完，估计这是整个作文里最大的败笔了……
总之，虽然很老套，还是要感谢托福班的诸位老师，特别是口语老师，连饭都不吃帮我
们拷资料，敬业啊，感动得稀里哗啦的啊……
