Unit 1 Science and ScientistsPeriod 5 Using language (2) Reading for writing 教学设计The theme of this part is about writing about what makes a great scientist. Students are supposed to read the biographies of scientists Qian Xuesen and Hawking, and on the basis of discourse analysis, sort out and refine the quality and scientific spirit of scientists, pay attention to and learn the role and function of conjunctions, and finally complete a short essay to explain the scientific spirit.1. Enable the Ss to get to know the good qualities great scientists share.2. Enable the Ss to understand the passage well.3.
