7a Unit 6 Food and lifestyle Reading
ⅠTeaching aims
(1). To revise and expand vocabulary about food and lifestyle.
(2). To learn about the realtionship between diet and health.
(3). To practise the technique of skimming for overall comprehension.
(4). To educate the Ss to eat healthy food and keep good lifestyles.
ⅡTeaching analysis
The seventh grade student just contact with the reading of the lengthy discourse, also need the guidance of a teacher in reading ablity, so at the beginning, I teach students to use the scanning or skimming method to read the text. And focus on training them how to seize the key words in the sentence and the topic sentences in paragraphs.

ⅣTeaching procedures
1. Lead-in
Present some pictures of different groups of food. Ask Ss to name them out.
2. Free talk
(1).Ask Ss to discuss a question in pairs, "Which food do you like to have?"
(2).To have a free talk with the given sentece patterns.
3. Presentation
(1). To check the prview work.
Whose lifestyle is between Kitty and Daniel?
(2). Ask Ss to go through the passage to find out the questions as soon as possible.
1)What does Kitty have for breakfast?
2)Does Daniel want to change his lifestyle?
3) What food does Daniel love?
(3). Play a video for Ss. Ask them to look at it carefully.
(4).Do the true or false exercise.
1). Kitty loves swimming.
2). Kitty often eats healthy food.
3). There is too much sugar in cakes and sweets.
4). Daniel seldom plays computer games.
5). Daniel does not like to play sports.
6). Kitty and Daniel have healthy lifestyles.
