本大纲是课程实施、教学评价和教材编写的主要依据。

一、教学目的义务教育阶段英语课程的目的是激发和培养学生的学习兴趣,帮助学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯,发展自主学习的能力,形成有效的学习策略;使学生掌握一定的语言基本知识和基本技能,建立初步的语感,获得初步运用英语的能力,为真实交际打下基础;开发智力,培养观察、记忆、思维、想象和创造能力;了解文化差异,培养爱国主义精神,增强世界意识;使学生初步形成健全的人格,为学生的可持续发展打下良好的基础。

二、教学目标与要求义务教育结束时,学生应能从口头和书面材料中获取所需信息,能就熟悉的话题用英语与老师和同学进行简单的口笔头交流,能对事物进行简单的描述并作出自己的判断。

学生应对课内外英语活动具有积极的态度,能克服在英语学习中产生的畏惧心理和困难,能根据自己的情况,合理安排和计划自己的学习,在学习中发挥自主意识和创新精神。

学生应具有一定的跨文化交际的意识,对异国文化采取尊重和包容的态度。
