No school today是《丽声北极星分级绘本四年级下》的一本故事类读物，通过小男孩
Tom生病不能上学，但知道学校有舞狮表演而感到沮丧，第二天病情好转却又不想上学，回
校后发现舞狮表演人员也因得了重感冒而缺席了昨天的活动，最后，Tom的脸上露出了笑
容。全文共50词。
(1)[What]主题意义和主要内容
本文通过描述小男孩Tom一波三折的上学经历，作为验证了“塞翁失马焉知非福”的道
理，面对生活中的小意外不消极，突出了“积极乐观”这一主题。同时也折射出单元主题学
会关心照顾他人，互相帮助。
(2)[How]文体结构和语言修辞
全文按照故事发生、发展的顺序分三部分展开。第一部分：小男孩Tom早上起来发着高
烧却心中挂念学校的舞狮活动，希望去上学，母亲打电话联系老师为Tom请假，随后Tom央
求爸爸能让他去学校并承诺可以明天在家休息，然而父亲告诉他，咳嗽并发热应该回到床
上，此时小男孩Tom感到非常沮丧。第二部分：第二天，Tom的病好了，可他怎么也高兴不
起来，并表示自己不想去学校了。第三部分：来到教室的Tom看到孩子们兴奋的样子感到疑
惑不解，原来是舞狮的人来了。
Tom同学因疾病不上学事件，心情随之的变化推动了故事的发展，妈妈在请假的过程中
