1964年,在西安出土了一只秦代生铁秤砣,它说明远在两千多年前,我国已有了秤.我国传统称量质量的工具是杆秤,今天还常用台秤、磅秤、电子秤.在实验室,称量质量的工具是天平.由此引入天平测物体的质量知识点的学习.
5.天平的构造
认真观察自己桌上的天平,熟悉它的构造.认真观察砝码盒内的砝码,观察盒内每个砝码的质量数,提示学生注重不能用手接触砝码,应当用镊子夹取.
参考方案
分阶段和国别研究测量质量仪器的发展过程,我国仪器制造业发展的现状、存在的问题、解决问题的途径.

教学反思:质量的估测对于初中生还很难做到准确估计,但在以后的深入学习和练习中,应该会渐渐好转。本节课不能操之过急,概念性的问题一定要给同学们讲透彻。
1.质量的概念教学
为了表示物体所含物质的量的不同,引入一个新的物理量——质量.
2.质量的单位
本处教学建议使用幻灯片投影或视频形式的教学手段.
教学中可先复习学生的原有知识,使学生知道吨、千克、克、毫克间的关系,然后介绍千克这个单位是怎样规定的,1kg的质量有多大,使学生对千克形成具体观念.接着介绍吨、克、毫克,这些单位常用在什么情况下,例如汽车、火车的装载量,粮食、钢铁、煤的产量等常用吨,药房和实验室常用克或毫克做质量的单位.利用课本中给出的“一些物体的质量”,可进一步使学生对质量的单位形成具体观念.此处可用幻灯片投影或视频的形式向学生展示各种物体的质量.使学生知道大象的质量是人的近百倍,鲸的质量可达大象的二十多倍,地球的质量是月球质量的八十多倍,太阳的质量是地球的三十多万倍.扩大学生的知识面,提高学生的学习爱好.
2.培养实验能力
通过实验学会调节天平,学会使用天平测物体的质量.知道使用天平时应注重的问题.
3.培养分析概括能力
通过对实例的分析,概括出质量是物体的属性,不随物体的外形、状态、温度以及所在位置的改变而改变.
4.培养思维能力
利用实物的对比,通过形象思维抽象出质量的概念.
德育目标
我国远在两千多年前的秦代,就已有了称量质量的工具,而且有了统一的称量物体质量的单位,在教学中应通过这些事例对学生进行爱国主义教育.通过天平的教学,对学生进行平衡美、对称美的教育.
学生观察一段时间,教师可用投影仪把天平的实物图打在幕布上,请学生根据教师的指示说出天平各部分构造、并在教师的指导下,说出自己所观察天平的最大称量和最小称量.
6.天平的调节和使用方法
