Teaching plan for Unit 1 lesson 1Good morning everyone, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is Senior English for Beijing Normal University Book Unit 1 lesson I a perfect day? I’ll be ready to begin thi s lesson from seven parts. Analysis of the teaching material, Analysis of students, Teaching objectives, Analysis of teaching important and difficult points, the teaching method and the studying methods, the teaching procedure, and Blackboard design. First, let me talk about the teaching material.Part 1 Teaching Material:This lesson is taken from Senior English for Beijing Normal University Book module 1 ,unit 1 ,lesson 1.Part 2 Analysis of studentsThe students are from senior high one. After studying the teaching material and analyzing the rule of children’s growing of mind, I think the teaching aims are the followings:Part 3 Teaching objectives1.Knowledge objects:To learn some words, phrases. and main sentence patterns.2. Ability objects:(1) To read two texts for specific information.(2) To write a short article, using what the students learnt in this period.3. Emotion or moral objects:To help the students discuss what a healthy and active lifestyle is and form a good habit. Part 4 Analysis of teaching important and difficult pointsNow, let’s come to the Important and the Difficult points.Important point is to teach the passages as a whole and make the Ss understand and grasp the general idea of each passage as a whole.Difficult point is To think of the healthy lifestyles in our daily life and how to improve our lifestyles.Part 5 Teaching Methods and Studying Methods:So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative” Approach(交际教学法), “Skimming and Scanning and “Task-b ased” language teaching (任务教学法). At the same time, I’ll make use of the modern electricity teaching equipments and all kinds of teaching means, it can develop the Ss creativity in learning English.Part 6 Teaching Procedure:.Before the lesson, I will send an exercise to the students’tablets by using the App Instructional Aides and ask students to match the words. The task is to present words in context to help students understand and remember new words and prepare them for reading.Step 1 Lead-inShow two pictures of a leisure life for students and pick out some students at random by using the App Instructional Aides to describe their characteristics in words and write them on the blackboard.The purpose is to lead the opposite lifestyle and enter the text A Perfect Day?Step 2 Fast –readingAsk students to read the text quickly and answer 2 questions on the screen.The purpose of design: This part is designed to foster students 'ability to grasp the overall structure of the text by Task-based reading.Step 3 careful –readingSend the class work to students’ tablets and ask students to read the text and fill the blank to get more detailed information.This part will help improve students’ ability to extract the text details of information, and find out the relevant information.Step 4 Free discussionAsk students to discuss some questions and voice their opinion about lifestyle. Purpose of my design: in this part, the students can learn to develop a healthy lifestyle by joining the topic” what is a healthy lifestyle?” Most Ss can take their parts in the activities, especially for the Ss who have trouble in English study. In the group activities, they can speak a little English. Without doubt, this will encourage them to speak English. This step also leads to the emotion objective of this lesson; that is to have moral education in this step.Part 5 SummaryThe teacher will summarize the main idea and the structure of the two articles in this lesson and advocate students to develop a healthy lifestyle.Homework:1. Read the text as much as possible and remember the new words and phrases.2. Imagine you’re a friend of Bob or Brian, write a letter to advise him to improve his lifestyle.The last step to show the board designPart 7 Teaching ReflectionThis lesson takes reading as the main line, strengthens listening and speaking training, and finally implements it in writing. Both reading and writing are considered, and the focus is on the development of reading skills.Classroom teaching strives to stimulate students 'interest through various measures and strengthen students' cooperation in exploring and learning.Finally, students are designed to identify healthy lifestyles by giving advice to others.
