泰坦尼克号英语作文介绍Title: The Titanic: A Tragic Tale of Triumph and Tragedy。
Introduction:The RMS Titanic, often referred to as the "unsinkable" ship, was a British passenger liner that tragically sank on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. This iconic vessel has captivated the imagination of people worldwide, serving as a haunting reminder of both human ambition and the devastating consequences of overconfidence. In this essay, we will delve into the history, construction, voyage, and ultimate demise of the Titanic, exploring the events that led to one of the most infamous maritime disasters in history.1. Historical Background:The idea of constructing a luxury liner that wouldsurpass all others in size and grandeur was conceived in the early 20th century, an era characterized by fierce competition among shipping companies. The White Star Line, under the leadership of Bruce Ismay, sought to outshine its rivals by building the largest and most opulent ship ever seen. The Titanic was designed to be a testament to British engineering prowess and a symbol of the nation's dominance in maritime transportation.2. Construction and Design:The construction of the Titanic began in 1909 at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. The ship's design incorporated state-of-the-art technology and safety features, such as watertight compartments and an intricate system of bulkheads. The Titanic boasted luxurious amenities, including a swimming pool, a gymnasium, and even a squash court. Its opulent interiors were adorned with exquisite craftsmanship and lavish furnishings, catering to the needs of the elite passengers it aimed to attract.3. The Maiden Voyage:On April 10, 1912, the Titanic set sail from Southampton, England, with over 2,200 passengers and crew on board. The ship made stops at Cherbourg, France, and Queenstown, Ireland, before embarking on its transatlantic journey. The atmosphere on board was one of excitement and anticipation, as passengers reveled in the opulence and grandeur of their surroundings.4. The Iceberg Collision:Tragically, on the night of April 14, 1912, disaster struck. The Titanic collided with an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean, causing extensive damage to its hull. The ship's crew, initially unaware of the severity of the situation, attempted to assess and contain the damage. However, the sheer size and speed of the collision had compromised the Titanic's structural integrity beyond repair.5. The Sinking and Rescue Efforts:As the Titanic began to sink, panic and chaos ensued. The limited number of lifeboats available proved grossly inadequate, exacerbating the tragedy. The ship's crew and captain displayed remarkable heroism, attempting to save as many lives as possible. However, the lack of proper emergency procedures and the absence of sufficientlifeboats ultimately led to the loss of over 1,500 lives.6. Aftermath and Legacy:The sinking of the Titanic sent shockwaves throughout the world, prompting widespread scrutiny and introspection regarding maritime safety regulations. The disaster led to significant changes in maritime practices, including the establishment of the International Ice Patrol and the requirement for ships to carry enough lifeboats for all passengers and crew. The Titanic's tragic fate alsoinspired numerous books, documentaries, and films, further immortalizing the ship's legacy. Conclusion:The story of the Titanic is one that continues to captivate and haunt us, serving as a reminder of the fragility of human endeavors and the consequences of unchecked hubris. The ship's grandeur, the heroism displayed by its crew, and the immense loss of life all contribute to the enduring fascination surrounding this tragic event. The Titanic remains a powerful symbol of the indomitable spirit of human ambition, as well as a stark reminder of the importance of humility and respect for the forces of nature.。

titanic英文作文

titanic英文作文Title: The Tragic Tale of the RMS Titanic. In the early hours of April 15, 1912, the world watched in horror as one of the greatest maritime disasters unfolded before their eyes. The RMS Titanic, a pride of the White Star Line and the largest ship afloat at that time, was on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. What was supposed to be a triumphant journey of luxury and excess turned into a nightmarish tragedy that claimed the lives of over 1500 people. The Titanic was built with the latest technology and was considered unsinkable. Her hull was made of steel that was said to be stronger than any other material used in shipbuilding. Her design was revolutionary, with watertight compartments that were believed to keep her afloat even if multiple compartments were flooded. She was equipped with state-of-the-art navigation tools and a radio that was supposed to keep her in constant communication with otherships and land stations.Yet, despite all this technology and safety measures, the Titanic hit an iceberg in the dark, cold waters of the North Atlantic. The impact was so severe that it tore open a gaping hole in the side of the ship, which quickly filled with water. The crew and passengers alike were thrown into a panic as the ship began to sink. The story of the Titanic is not just about the ship itself, but about the people who were on board. There were the wealthy and famous, like John Jacob Astor and Isidor Strauss, who were traveling in the lap of luxury. There were also the immigrants, like the Syrian family who were seeking a better life in America. They all shared a fateful journey that ended in tragedy. The sinking of the Titanic was a wake-up call for the world. It revealed the fragility of human life and the limits of technology. It showed us that no matter how advanced we are, nature still holds the ultimate power. The Titanic was not unsinkable; she was just a ship, made ofsteel and wood, with people on board who were trying to make their way in the world. In the aftermath of the disaster, there were many questions asked about why the ship sank. Was it because of the arrogance of the captain, who refused to slow down despite warnings of icebergs? Was it because of the shoddy construction of the ship, with rivets that were not properly secured? Or was it just a tragic accident that could have happened to anyone? The truth is, we may never know all the answers. But what we do know is that the Titanic disaster was a tragic reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of safety. It taught us to value every moment and to cherish the people we love. It taught us to be humble in the face of nature and to always be prepared for the worst. In the end, the RMS Titanic was not just a ship; she was a symbol of a time gone by, a time when people believed in the power of technology and the promise of a better future. She was a reminder of our hubris and folly, and awarning of the consequences of ignoring the warnings of those who know better. The story of the Titanic is one that will forever be remembered. It is a story of hope, despair, courage, and tragedy that continues to resonate with people around the world. It is a reminder that we must always be vigilant and prepared for the unexpected, and that we should neverforget the lessons of the past.As we look back on the centenary of the Titanic disaster, it is important to remember not just the ship itself, but the lives that were lost and the lessons that were learned. Let us honor those who died and let us strive to make the world a safer place for all.。

Metatitanic directly coated rutiletitanium dioxide production Abstract: In this study,we will use new technology and processes which is that envelope will be coated after the washing and bleaching process of metatitanic ,and pure metatitanic will be directly to be coated, then we can get the titanium dioxide product after calcination and smashing. and we argue calcined temperature, calcination time, the capsule temperature, pH, coating time, coating amount, coating speed and other variables to get the best parameters to do multiple sets of samples were compared, can initially come to be seen, in terms of color compared to the traditional process of the new process titanium dioxide products, white , brightness, the blue spectral characteristics of value achromatic power, tone (absolute) performance is better than the traditional process. And proved by experiments to the TMP organic coated optical properties of titanium dioxide some improvement. Test results from the microscopic point of view can be seen, the new technology prepared rutile titanium dioxide crystal form, particle size and morphology, with the traditional process is not very different, so you can initially come to the conclusion that new technology is highly feasible.Key words: titanium dioxide, dispersed, envelope ,calcination, smashIntroduction :Titanium dioxide in its crystalline form is divided into three main types : anatase , rutile and titanium plate [1] , due to the unstable titanium plate , there is no practical value in real life . The anatase titanium dioxide does not require an envelope , so rutile titanium dioxide is one of the world's best white inorganic pigment . Titanium dioxide is a white inorganic pigment , coupled with its chemical stability, chemically inert , almost no reaction with other substances at room temperature , oxygen , nitrogen , ammonia , hydrogen sulfide, are stable , and different water, fat , organic acids and weak inorganic acids. And titanium dioxide have high coverage , high refractive index , with a non-toxic, high opacity , whiteness and brightness are the best , is recognized as the best performance of a contemporary inorganic white pigment widely used in paints , plastics , paper, printing ink , chemical fiber , rubber, ceramics, cosmetics and food additives and pharmaceutical industries . The optical properties and pigment properties are closely related to the nature of the particular form of the pigment optical properties , all of the basic properties of the pigment has the effect of hiding pigment , such as hiding power, color strength, gloss , hue, weathering resistance , etc., are is the result of optical effects .The development of China's titanium dioxide industry late in 1955 began studies of titanium dioxide sulfuric acid method. Subsequent years beginning with sulfuric acid production anatase titanium dioxide, 1967 initial grasp rutile titanium dioxide sulfuric acid production technology. However, due to backward technology development is very slow. The latter, due to the rapid increase in the world demand for titanium dioxide, and the domestic economy, the country built more than 100 sulfate process titanium dioxide plant in the 1980s [2]. By the late 1990s, titanium dioxide productivity reached 180,000 tons. At present, China's titanium dioxide industry has been gradually rising, particularly in Panzhihua Titanium represented by large state-owned enterprises, thoroughly implement the scientific concept of development, seize opportunities, difficulties, breaking multiple technical obstacles, the country's tradition of titanium dioxide industry also pushed to a new vantage point.1.Experimental Materials and Methods1.1Experimental MaterialsThe use of rutile titanium dioxide production plant metatitanic as raw material, which is the result of metatitanic washed, bleached and processed salt is added accelerator and rutile crystal modifier after metatitanic.Metatitanic theoretical formula:32TiO H ,Actually is 2TiO ·X O H 2·Y 3SO .A typical factory production metatitanic chemical composition as shown in Table 1.1: Table 1.1Ingredient 2TiO O H 23SO 32O Fe 32O Sb 32O Al ZnO Content,% 3562 3 0.001 0.007 0.004 0.004 Metatitanic slurry 2TiO concentration should be measured and calculated by the following formula:2TiO Content (g/L )= (d -1) ×1190 The relative density of the slurry metatitanic (g/mL )Generally 1.16 – 1.27.1190:Experimental constants.2TiO Content Generally 200 – 320 g/L.The experiment was actually used by the partial vacuum filtration titanate, moisture content of about 49%-50%.Can be estimated 3SO 3% 2TiO Content 48%.The main drugs include: metatitanic six series, sodium citrate, sodium silicate, sodium hydroxide, sodium aluminate, concentrated sulfuric acid, aluminum sulfate, zirconium sulfate.① beaker several (5000ml, 2000ml, 500ml, 250ml, 100ml, 50ml), medium-speedqualitative filter paper several glass rod, 15cm.② dropper, pH test strips, PH meter, a mortar, a 523 mesh sieve.③ an electronic balance with an accuracy of 0.1g.④ dispersed phase: GFJ-0.4 high-speed centrifugal dispersing machine, the maximum speed of 8000r/min, 2l cylinder, Shanghai Modern Environmental Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.; JJ-1 booster Precision electric mixer.⑤ sanding stages: liters sander.⑥ envelope phases: the envelope slot, constant flow pump.⑦filtration and drying stage: SHB-111T multi-purpose water circulating pump, shown in Figure 4.7; filtration bottles; 101 electric blast oven (110 ℃).⑧ calcination stages: resistance furnace.⑨ crushing stages: superfine jet mill 0.5-2KG / H, compressor 1.2MPa, refrigeration dryer.1.2 Experimental MethodsA. direct calcination metatitanic not coated.B. metatitanic first calcined alumina coated again.C. after the first metatitanic coated alumina, and then calcined.Calcined strength above are: 510 ℃ -710 ℃ heat insulation 2 hours 2 hours -810 ℃for 3 hours, calcination time of 7 hours.1.2.2 coated aluminum zirconium ideasA. direct calcination metatitanic not coated.B. metatitanic first calcined and then coated aluminum zirconium. After the C, partial coated aluminum zirconium titanate first, and then calcined. The luminance of each sample as shown in FIG Tongji 2.1.4 below:Figure 2.1.4 shows that the brightness of new technology products is relatively stable, does not appear as the highest or lowest traditional process, the luminance value of the new technology better stability than the traditional process. The higher the whiteness of titanium dioxide, titanium dioxide performance is more excellent. Whiteness each sample chart shown in Figure 2.1.5:Figure 2.1.5 Sample whiteness chart Figure 2.1.6 Sample Oil Absorption charts Can clearly be seen from Figure 2.1.5, S.1, S.3, S.5 as whiteness is significantly lower than the traditional process of new technology S.2, S.4, S.6 whiteness values. Figure 2.1.6 shows that the new technology with the traditional process was essentially flat in the oil absorption index; lower oil absorption of titanium dioxide, it shows the better performance of the sample, we can see from the figure, zirconium samples S.6 aluminum coated lowest oil absorption of new technology products. It can initially be seen, the effect of the new technology compared to traditional techniques well coated, capsule, the better, the lower oil absorption. In summary, we can see that the optical performance of the new process for preparing coated rutile titanium dioxide is superior to the conventional preparation process. Integrated optical performance and can be seen for the sample S.6 best.3.ConclusionIn summary , we can draw the following conclusions :( 1 ) new technology products titanium dioxide color compared to the traditional process , the new process sample S.2, S.4, S.6 whiteness , brightness, blue spectral characteristic values achromatic power , tone ( absolute value ) and so the overall performance is better than the traditional process samples S.1, S.3, S.5, only a very few indicators may lower than the traditional process , but the overall trend is a new technology product is superior to the traditional process, and the new technology is a sample of six samples S.6 optimal performance . New technology coupled with simple process, so you can initially demonstrate the feasibility of new technology is relatively high .( 2 ) the sample by comparing the sample S.5 S.6, through the optical properties of the organic coated sample S.6 TMP is superior to organic coated sample without the TMP S.5, can initially concluded that organic can improve the optical properties of coated titanium dioxide .( 3 ) the particle size of titanium dioxide products, new technology , compared with the traditional process , the focus particle size segment , there is not much difference, are concentrated in the 0.7um-0.9um between , but can clearly be seen from theparticle size distribution , the traditional process there is a reunion interval , this can be a preliminary description of the new technology for preparing coated rutile titanium dioxide dispersion is superior to the traditional process. We can initially conclude that the new technology compared to the traditional process , compared with better dispersion , help to improve the overall performance of a variety of titanium dioxide .( 4 ) Oil absorption charts from each sample , we can see that the new technology sample S.2, S.4, oil absorption S.6 slightly less than the traditional process . This result illustrates that the new technology can improve the oil absorption of titanium dioxide , to improve the performance of such titanium dioxide .( 5 ) from the SEM photograph can be drawn titanium dioxide products and new technology on the microstructure of the traditional process is basically no difference ; From the XRD diffraction pattern can be derived new technology and traditional craft products in the phase composition , and the proportion of polymorphs consistent ; this can be explained from the micro level, the new process of preparation of rutile titanium dioxide morphology and crystal form of titanium dioxide can meet the basic requirements to achieve our desired effect .Therefore, the preliminary results of the feasibility of partial titanate directly coated titanium dioxide rutile preparation is relatively high .4.
