Chapter Ⅲ Research Design
The study aims to address the following two questions: 3.1 Research questions 1) Does cooperative writing approach produce positive impact on the students’ achievement in writing? If so, students’ what effect can it have on the three features of writing: language, content and organization? 2) Does cooperative writing approach help change the students’ students’ attitudes towards writing after its implementation for a semester?
(b) There is no logic in express in expressing their ideas. While writing, they have to think about the Chinese words first and then translate them into English when they find it hard to express themselves. So their writing product is far from satisfactory.
Cooperative learning, with its solid theoretical basis and successful practice has become one of the most focused areas in the field of education at home and abroad. Therefore, the researcher attempts to explore an application of cooperative learning to English writing class and seeks what effects cooperative learning have on English writing achievements of the students.
