然而,在重视这一种有声语言的应用中,另一种无声的语言——Body language却少有人注意。
实际上,Body language亦是语言的一种,在英语教学中不可忽视。
二、Body language的重要性Body language 即是态势语,又称为体态语,是口语交际活动的辅助手段,是通过体态、手势、表情、眼神等非语言因素传递信息的一种言语辅助形式。
而te achers’body language是教学教育口语中不可分割的重要组成部分,教师的一举一动不仅直接影响着教学、教育效果,而且对学生起着潜移默化的作用。
Teachers’body language包括:身姿语(Posture language)、手势语(Gesture/sign language)、表情语(Expression language)、目光语(Sight language)、空间距离语(Distance language)、服饰语(Dress language)(《教师口语》)。
这就是说,教师运用身体姿态、手势动作、面部表情等来传递信息,交流情感。
Teachers’body language是师生沟通的重要手段之一。
古人说:“情动于中而形于言”,表情动作是内在情感的自然流露,是情感发展到一定阶段所必至。

嘴 The Mouth
嘴和眼一样都有传情达意的作用。在社交活动中, 谈话时尽量少努嘴和撇嘴,因为这样的动作容易 流露出不屑的意味,而显得不够有涵养。站立、 静坐或握手时,嘴可以微闭,不要露出牙齿,如果 能保持微笑就更完美了。 The mouth has the same effect with the eyes when people are expressing their feelings and ideas. 2013-12方法交流英语作为一种交际工具,不仅仅能够传授知识,同时也体现了交流互动的过程。
在这一过程中,教师的语言就显得尤为重要,教师既要注重口语的教学,同时又不可忽视Body Language 这种无声语言的重要性。
一、Body Language ———脸部语言的运用所谓脸部语言就是人的面部表情,人们可以通过面部表情来表现内心的开心与难过,也可以表示同意或不同意。
一个人的脸部表情蕴藏着大量的信息,小学生的理解能力和认知水平还没有得到充分的发展,他们通常喜欢从教师的脸上找寻答案,因此,在小学英语的教学过程中,老师要学会使用脸部语言,发挥Body Language的魅力。
1.巧用脸部表情,缩短师生之间的距离众所周知,愉快的心情工作起来事半功倍,小学英语教师如果能每天都对学生微笑,用愉快的心情来传授知识,那么学生自然能体会老师对英语的热爱,小学生就会愿意和老师亲近,进而缩短师生之间的距离,彼此之间建立友好和谐的关系,这样学生在课堂上就愿意听教师的话,积极主动地学习英语。
2.巧用脸部语言,加深学生对知识的理解和记忆在小学英语教学中,如果一个教师在讲课的过程中富有感情,比较容易引起学生情感的共鸣,有助于推动学生积极参与课堂教学。
因此,教师在课堂教学中,可以根据所教内容适当融入自己的富有感情的表情和语调,这样学生就会对所学的知识有更深刻的理解。
比如,在讲PEP 小学三年级下册Unit 2My Family A Let ’s learn 的时候,教师可以通过模仿爸爸妈妈、爷爷奶奶的表情以及说话的语气,加深学生对这些单词的记忆。
如,讲mother 这个单词的时候,教师可以通过做出相应的面部表情,模仿妈妈平时说话的语调,这样可以加深学生的记忆,学生可以快速地了解家庭成员以及他们相应的称呼。
二、Body Language ———眼部语言的运用眼部语言,具体来说就是通过教师的眼睛来表达内心的情感。
眼睛是心灵的窗户,眼睛能够将人们内心最真挚、最细腻的情感进行表达。

运用肢体语言提高小学英语课堂效率所谓肢体语言,也称身体语言(body language),是指教师在教学过程中用来传递信息、表达情感、表示态度的非语言特点的表情神态及身体姿势,以表达某种特定意义的无声语言。
它具有形象、直观,易理解、易模仿、易运用的特点。
小学英语内容简单,但学生大多数初次接触,因此教起来却不太容易。
在教学过程中,教师应针对小学生的年龄特点和心理特点,采取形象、生动、新奇、有趣的方法,充分调动各种感官,运用肢体语言进行教学。
因此,肢体语言在小学英语教学中有着极其重要的作用。
1、肢体语言能促进学生理解,提高学生学习兴趣。
教师讲课时运用直观生动的体态语能深深吸引学生的兴趣,促进学生对知识的理解。
如:come here老师前伸一只手,掌向里,并向着自己招动表示让学生过来!向学生一招手,然后手指向讲台边表示come to the front!想让学生安静时,就伸出食指放在嘴唇上,右手握拳向下有力一拉意思是come on! 老师把手放在嘴巴做喇叭状,意思是让学生说话能大声点be loud,please. 当学生回答精彩的时候,老师竖起大拇指意思就是great!老师把右手的食指和大拇指围成一个圆圈,其它三个手指往上翘表示ok!chain work,group work,pair work老师都可以用不同的手势来表达意思。
又如,在教学句型时,将句子设计在情境之中,并编以动作,既能让学生领悟句子的含义,又能将其运用到实际生活当中,可谓一举两得。
如 this is my finger. this is my head…我边说边用手指自己身体的各部位。
学生很快明白意思,边指着自己的鼻子说this is my nose.有个调皮的学生学着猪八戒,居然自己拉着两只耳朵说:this is my ear.我赶紧也学着他的样子拉着自己的双耳,并为他指正:these are my ears.从我拉一只耳朵和两只耳朵的动作中,学生们明白了句子的不同。

Introduction
? Body language, like verbal language, is also a part of culture. Different cultures have different Body languages except some universal ones. And in intercultural communication, the same body language may mean different things. So there are many cultural taboos in intercultural communication and if we do not be aware of them, it may easily cause cultural misunderstandings. Communicating with foreigners, we should attach importance to the differences to avoid misunderstandings.
