Discuss both views and give your opinion.雅思作文范文【1】Fresh water is a necessity in human’s daily life but how to use it varies in different societies. Some people take unlimited water consumption for granted, but others think that it is governments’ obligation to control fresh water as it is limited. It is true that most residents in developed countries and coastal nations do not need to worry about the shortage of fresh water. Sophisticated infrastructures and sufficient precipitation can guarantee sufficient water supply. The price that these occupants need to pay is water bills and they can use as much water as they want if only they can afford it. Thus, it is undoubted that some of them hold the opinion that they can utilize the resource freely if they want. While many other people do not need to concern about water consumption, it is also a fact that a large number of inhabitants in many developing countries have no access to clean water because of its scarcity. In those countries, natural environment and climate like droughts have a negative effect on water supply. What is worse, the poor situation makes water even more precious. If people use as much water as they want in thoseareas, it can almost be sure that water supply will fail to meet some people’s daily need. Therefore, it is reasonable that local officials limit the individual water use and people who waste it will be punished. In my opinion, fresh water should not be used without any restriction. Water supply depends on heavily on natural environment that it can be regarded as limited resource in some countries. Water conservation, whether it is advocated by government or not, is what people should insist on.主旨句:In my opinion, fresh water should not be used without any restriction.雅思作文范文【2】When it comes to the issue about the use of fresh water, some people argue that they are entitled to consume fresh water without limitation, but others believe that the use of fresh water should be controlled by governments strictly. On one hand, individuals have the right to use fresh water as long as they pay for it. Fresh water is also a kind of commodity. When a person paid money for fresh water, theoretically, this person possesses the property right of fresh water paid and such a property right is guaranteed by laws in most countries. Therefore, if citizens are able to afford the price of fresh water, their right of using water should be protected. On the other hand, since fresh water is an infinite resource, excessive use of fresh water needs to be prohibited by the authorities. It is acknowledged that fresh water accounts for less than 1% of total water resources on the earth and many regions lack fresh water currently. If governments do not punish people who waste such a precious resource, in the future, fresh watermay be exhausted and human beings may not find the alternative so quickly. Thus, in order to maintain the environmental sustainability, city councils need to regulate citizens’ behavior. From my own perspective, it is unrealistic and immoral for individuals to use water excessively, but residents may also suffer if governments strictly limit the use of fresh water. A compromise may be that governments do not utilize political power, but economic measures to raise the public’s environmental awareness. To be more specific, if individuals or enterprises consume too much water, the price of fresh water will be much higher for them, which aims to remind them of the necessity of recycling water. For ordinary citizens, if they just use water within a normal range, there is no need to impose extra fines on them.主旨句:From my own perspective, it is unrealistic and immoral for individuals to use water excessively, but residents may also suffer if governments strictly limit the use of fresh water.雅思作文范文【3】Fresh water is considered as one of the most valuable resources in this planet, but its consumption is huge due to the growing population and the increasing demand in agriculture and industry. As water shortage is becoming increasingly severe in many parts of the world, it is suggested that the government should control the amount of water use.Considering the deteriorating water crisis,it is urgent to reduce water consumption and conserve fresh water resource. For some reasons, wasting water is common in farms, factories and households. Some people believe the government has the obligation to intervene and take steps to combat the situation. For instance, if the authorities could raise the water price, or set the maximum quantity of water consumption in factors, or forcibly promote water-saving technology in agriculture sector, the water use is expected to decline. However, some people object to the government's intervention and believe citizens have the right to use water as they want. The main concern is that the limitation of water use may lower the living standard and cause inconveniences in daily lives,In some cases, it could lead to poor sanitary condition and the spread of diseases. The downsides of the government's policy should also be noted. For example, raising water price seems to be an effective solution, but rich people may not care about it.Instead,it would only hurt the interests of the general public. My View is that it is justified for the government to take necessary measures to tackle the water crisis, Perhaps the first step is to raise people's awareness of water conservation, making them realize the urgency of this task .With the support from the general public, the government's policies would be better implemented.主旨句:My View is that it is justified for the government to take necessary measures to tackle the water crisis, Perhaps the first step is to raise people's awareness of water conservation, making them realize the urgency of this task .With the support from the general public, the government's policies would be better implemented.【2016年12月10日雅思写作考试真题范文】。

雅思(写作)历年真题试卷汇编16(题后含答案及解析)

雅思(写作)历年真题试卷汇编16(题后含答案及解析)

雅思(写作)历年真题试卷汇编16(题后含答案及解析) 题型有: 2. WRITING TASK 2WRITING TASK 2You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.1.There are more new towns nowadays. It is more important to include public parks and sports facilities than shopping centres for individuals to spend their free time. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (2016-04-23)正确答案:With the development of new areas, some people feel that it is more important to build sports facilities as well as relaxation areas and greenery, such as parks, rather than places where people can shop in order to pass away their free time. When a new town is developed, it is important to cater for a wide range of people that all might have different ideas on how to spend their weekends or other downtime. Sports facilities can enable people to maintain their health and also interact with their friends when they are playing football for example. These days, certainly in China, more and more people are getting fitter and wish to have the ability to maintain their fitness wherever they live. There are also a lot of people, and I’m referring to the older generations, that would be more content to sit in a park, read a book or maybe have a picnic than anything else. Public parks not only are useful socially, but also contribute in a small way to breaking up the mundane colours of buildings as well as helping the environment. Shopping centres would also be an essential addition to any town. If they were not to exist in the area being created, no one would be able to buy the essentials for their day-to-day requirements. It is also well-known that window shopping is actually a relaxing way to spend time, especially for women. Overall, I would have to say that I disagree with the statement because, I believe, they have an equal level of importance due to the fact that although they might be used by different people, they would be required by all. 涉及知识点:大作文2.People’s shopping habits depend more on the age group they belong to than any other factors. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (2016-04-30)正确答案:It is thought that people of different ages have different shopping habits and these habits are dependent on which age group they fit into rather than any other demographic factors. For me, it would really depend on what the definition of ‘shopping habit’is, as well as how the age groups are defined. I understand “shopping habits” to be any time you go out and spend money for whatever reason, not necessarily purely for clothes or food. This would include going to restaurants and perhaps the cinema or KTV as well as sports activities. I would probably define the age groups in blocks of 10 years. If this were the case, I can see some arguments that might support this statement due to the fact that people of different ages will buy different things and at different times, but I don’t believe it is solely due to their age.For instance, some of my older friends, by about 5 years, are now married and some of them aren’t. Although they are the same age, their shopping habits are completely different. The ones that are married and are now living with their husbands rather than their parents are quite often going shopping for food or other things to do with home life, whereas my friends that are unmarried mainly shop for clothes. Another example of why it is not the unique decided, is the recreation activities that different people do. I am thinking of my friends that play sport with me, sometimes twice a week. Our squash club is made up of entirely different people, with age ranges from 16 to 70. There are both women and men that play from all parts of the world including England, America, South Africa and China. So again, this “habit”has nothing at all to do with age. In conclusion then, I totally disagree with this statement, as although age might be a small contributing factor, it is certainly not the most important. 涉及知识点:大作文3.Some people think secondary school students should study international news as one of their subjects. Other people say this is a waste of valuable school time. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. (2013-06-22)正确答案:When I was a secondary school student, I started to be interested in what was happening in the world. However, my accelerating interest to the world was not encouraged by my teachers who thought the only job for a secondary school student was to study the designated courses, such as science and arts . From my judgement, those people who claim it is a waste of school time to study international news were wrong and it is essential for secondary school students to know about the world . First of all, secondary school students are at a crucial stage of change, when their physical power is fast growing and their mental attitude is dramatically developing .At this period of time, their interest and curiosity about the world beyond their “comfort zone” are increasing. Unfortunately, they do not have money to travel to other countries, so learning about the news on media , such as from television, is one option for them to meet such a demand. The international news programmes on the media are a window from which students can have a broader perspective of the society in which they live. However, students may have difficulties in understanding the news, so they need help from school teachers, whose duty is to cultivate students to become a responsible person and qualified citizen. Secondary school students are young, and to some extent, naive. When they are exposed to media coverage, they might lack the ability to understand the complexities of the world. Furthermore, very often, there are distorted reports or misinterpretations of news in the media. Without necessary support and appropriate guidance from teachers, students may be misled and sometimes go astray; thus, secondary school teachers are actually in an important position to help them distinguish between right and wrong. All in all, to understand the world is essential for secondary school students, which can be through learning about international news, which, therefore, is not a waste of time. The time of adolescence is valuable, so it should be spent with informed guidance. 涉及知识点:大作文4.It is better for people to be unemployed than to be employed without a job they enjoy. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (2014-11-01)正确答案:People work for different reasons. Some work for fun, because they get an enjoyable job; however, some others have to do a job for a living. Some people have come up with the idea that it is better not to be employed than if they do not enjoy doing the job. Personally, though this idea sounds attractive, it cannot bear closer analysis . First of all, everybody has to make a living which requires earning enough income to cover daily expenses. Doing a job and getting paid provides such financial resources for most people. For example, living in cities can be expensive, not to mention big cities, such as London and New York. Even if you are living in a small town, yon have to buy the basic necessities of life. To afford to live in this world, you have to be employed, so it is not a matter of personal choice. Secondly, since one must be employed by others or self-employed, why not work with a positive attitude? Everybody has the right to choose what kind of job he/she does, so first choose a job you enjoy, if you can. If you have to do a job that you dislike, try to see the positive sides and think what this job can bring to you. As a result, you often may find the happiness in the job. The statement to be unemployed because of not enjoying doing a job is more about escaping. Thirdly, it happens in some countries that some people do not get employed and use the excuse of not being happy doing their job. These people rely on the money from their parents or the welfare of the government. For example, some young people do not go to work and live a luxurious life in China, because they are from a rich family. These people have earned a nickname of “the rich second generation” , and they are actually avoiding their responsibility as a responsible member of the society. Furthermore, because they do not have regular work to do, their life is more hopeless than those poor people who work hard with low pay. In conclusion, I disagree with the idea to choose to be unemployed just because of not enjoying doing a job. Having a job and making a contribution to the society is the responsibility for every citizen to do .

More and more people buy and use their own car.do you think the advantages of this trend for individuals overweigh the disadvantages for environment?越来越多的人们选择买属于自己的汽车。

你认为这样的趋势给环境带来的好处大于坏处吗?参考范文:When it comes to the phenomenon that private cars become popular and common among the public, some people may argue that the environment may suffer from such a fact, but I approve of the idea that there exist more merits for individuals if they own a private car.Admittedly, the use of private cars may lead to the deterioration of the environment. Compared to public transport, private cars could merely serve a very limited number of passengers, but they still emit no less gas than public vehicles do. Moreover, excessive carbon dioxide released by cars may aggravate global warming to some degree, leading to some severe consequences, such as rising sea levels. Nevertheless, citizens may have a better life with private cars.Initially, the public may enjoy convenient traffic with their own cars. When travelers intend to go to some remote areas for a trip, public transport may not cover such areas completely. Providing that curious visitors brought a car, they would still be free to drive to any place they look forward to. Thus, purchasinga private car should be at the top of tourists’ agenda since it enables tourists to take their personal trips.Furthermore, driving may serve to help people release their pressure to some extent. In the current era, people are occupied with heavy work, which may bring them a lot of pressure. Correspondingly, some more approaches may be developed to assist depressive people to alleviate their mental burdens. Driving is also a recommendable way since drivers could refresh themselves temporarily, especially when they drive at midnight freely with little intervention. In sum, the pros acquired from driving may exceed the cons for the environment, considering that driving allows tourists to go to any site they like and provides citizens with a method of unloading pressure.范文参考:Private car ownership has been becoming increasingly universe in many societies and thus triggered a series of controversies and one of which regards the upsides and downsides for individuals and eco-surroundings respectively.Personally, every coin has two sides, likewise, there are both evidence in its benefits and drawbacks and it is difficult to say which is more obvious.Commonly, many car owners share the belief that by possessing a transportation tool, they are given more opportunity to travel as they please and as convenient as possible. For example, encountering bad weathers, rather than waiting for public bus or walking a long way to take the underground in the heavy rain,we can drive car instantly we walk out the door. Also, private cars make many leisure activities possible. In some cases, having a mountain climbing, holding abarbecue party or camping in countryside areas on weekend would rely,in great likelihood,on self-driving as public transportation may not be sufficiently provided in those areas. On the other hand, reaching the conclusion that there are advantages in private car use does not mean that we ignore its disadvantages recklessly.Instead,it should be equivalently pointed out.Global warming and other air problems such as acid rain and haze are probably the main issues to be concerned. Due to car emissions, many big cities are suffering the environment problems mentioned above. However, instead of letting these problems be and eventually deteriorate, actions must be taken to tackle or at least mitigate the threat to our life.I therefore believe that along with the bright sides of private car use,the dark ones still exist and it is everyone's responsibility to solve it.参考范文:With the development of economy and technology, private cars are affordable to more families. So the debate of the cars contribution to individuals and the disadvantages of cars to environment is also presented.I believe the benefits the cars brought to us is more than the harm they make to the environment. Although we can’t deny that cars actually indeed made some air pollutions (due to the greenhouse emission) and maybe also some noise pollution. We can’t ignore the value of the cars in our daily life. The reasons are listed below.First of all, with private cars, people enjoy more flexible going –out schedule, we don’t need to passively rely on the public transportation. For example, we can determine the time to set out to work every morning without concerning the public bustime.Additionally, cars also bring us more enjoyment and flexibility to our life. We can plan a longer distanced car trip with private cars since many worth visiting places have poor public transportation access.Last but not least, cars assists us to take more care of our families. When you have children or elderly people, concerning the safety and comfort issue, it is better to drive them by private cars since the public buses are always crowed and chaotic. The further example is when our family members have emergencies to hospital, we don’t need to wait the taxi or the ambulance, and we can drive them to hospital immediately for in time treatment. All in all, having private cars is very important to individuals in terms of the conveniences, enjoyments and flexibility the cars brought to us. Compare to those benefits, I think the environment issue the cars made can be neglected.【2016年9月15日雅思真题作文范文】。
