隐形眼镜纵横谈(辽宁省大连市甘井子区轻工苑1号大连工业大学化工与材料学院 116034)摘要:隐形眼镜(contact lens),或叫角膜接触镜,是一种戴在眼球角膜上,用以矫正视力或保护眼睛的镜片。
包括硬性和软性两种,隐形眼镜不仅从外观上和方便性方面给近视、远视、散光等屈光不正患者带来了很大的改善,而且视野宽阔、视物逼真,此外在控制青少年近视、散光发展,治疗特殊的眼病等方面也发挥了特殊的功效。
关键词隐形眼镜;功能材料;生物材料引言隐形眼镜在医学上称角膜接触镜,原理与普通的框架眼镜大致相同,如果是近视镜, 一般是中央薄周边厚的凹透镜,远视镜则一般是中央厚,周边薄的凸透镜。
由于隐形眼镜直接与眼角膜接触,因而需要很高的生物活性,所以可以说隐形眼镜的发展史基本上可以说是其材料的发展史, 比较早期的隐形眼镜材料从玻璃到PMMA和HEMA, 使隐形眼镜的发展经历了几个重要发展阶段。

1938年,由于塑胶PMMA材料的发明,Mullen和Obring使用PMMA为材料,制出第一副全塑胶隐形眼镜。
1960年,捷克斯洛伐克科学家Otto Wichterle研制出一种吸水后会变软,又能适合人体使用的HEMMA材料,制作出第一副软性隐形眼镜。
1971年,美国博士伦公司首先获得FDA(美国联邦食品医药管理局)核准,在美国生产和销售软性隐形眼镜。
1974年,为了改善镜片的透氧性能,以达到使镜片能够安全地配戴过夜的目的,一种透气硬镜材料(硅酮丙烯酸酯,SMA)诞生了,由于硅成份的介入,使镜片的透氧性能进一步提高,其后又在此基础上衍生出多种透气硬镜材料,具有代表性的有氟硅丙烯酸酯(fluorosilicone acrylates,FSA)和氟多聚体(fluoropolymers)等。
