而第二种网友贡献的解释则直接提到了吴亦凡，表示这是在今年7月这位著名歌手在《中国新说唱》节目中提到的词，根据所用语境的意思是指某人的说唱很有才，技术强。

网上流传的说法是，该词语作为网络用语开始流行是在2018年的除夕。某网友发布了一张内容为“确认过眼神，你是广东人”的图片，借以吐槽广东人的过年红包面额很小，引发网友对各地红包数额的讨论，从而使该语爆红网络。
其实，说到“眼神”，在英文中，很少像中文里那样提到“眼神”这个概念，一般直接用“眼睛”来表达。比方说：eye contact (眼神交流)，再比如“忧郁的眼神”可以说melancholy/sad eyes；又或者give sb the evil eye指的是狠狠瞪视人家。

英文单词C实际上是center的缩写，意为中央、中心。起源则来自综艺节目《创造101》，训练并记录100位选手在4个月时间里的生活。最终，11名选手脱颖而出组成偶像团体。其中，第一档的选手占据团体中心位置。“C位”一般指舞台中央或艺人在宣传海报的中间位置，后被引申为各种场合中最重要、最受关注的位置。
