学生能够大致区分垃圾分类，大部分学生对于节约能源、资源再利用以及废品循环有一定的认知。
学生发现和探索新知能力渐强。
学生情感日益丰富，有较强的环保意识。
六年级学生语言累积相对丰富，具备较强的会话与自主创编写作能力。
学生已掌握与本单元相关的知识及话题，学习了保护环境的话题（water），手工制作的话题（crafts）；句型方面，已会使用I like… /They can…/等句型表达自己的喜爱和做法，会使用How do we …? /We use … to…句型说明物品的用途，会简单介绍制作手工艺品的过程。
二、教材分析本单元为牛津六下第三模块第九单元：Module 3 Unit 9 Reusing things。
本单元共有六部分：其中Listen and say部分呈现Alice和妈妈谈论如何再利用玻璃瓶和罐头的对话。
Look and learn 通过图片学习日常用品单词：can, envelope, pen holder和vase。
Look and read部分则讲述了塑料瓶循环再生的过程。
Think and write部分是一个开放性的写作练习，让学生发挥想象，写一写可以如何再利用图中的物品。
Listen and enjoy部分是一首关用旧物再利用的儿歌，可用以激活单元新知，也可用以巩固单元知识点。
Learn the sounds部分要求学生初步了解重读在句子朗读中的重要作用及一般规律。
三、单元设计思路和依据基于对教材的理解和对学生的学情分析，从单元整体教学思想的角度，从语义理解、语用功能的实现以及情感的推进来设计教学内容和过程，我们设计了四个递进式的话题，以“School Green Week”为单元主题情境，以课本人物Alice 为主人公，通过“Reusing old things”，“Reusing paper”，“Recycling”，“Recovering our city”四个课时的情境任务的推进，引导学生体验、感知、习得语言，藉此达到提升学生综合语用，培养学生思维品质和核心素养的目的。
