简爱的英文读书笔记Jane Eyre — A Beautiful SoulJane Eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge in soul, obscure but self-respecting girl. After we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think: We remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.We remember her pursuit of justice. It’s like a companion with the goodness. But still, a virtuous person should promote the goodness on one side and must check the badness on the other side.We remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. In her opinion, everyone is the same at the God’s feet. Though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality. We also remember her striving for life, her toughness and her confidence…When we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her personality.Actually, she wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearance didn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt felt disgusted with it. And some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease, so when Miss Ingram met Jane Eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much more prettier than ‘the plain and ugly governess’. But as the little governess had said: ‘Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!’ This is the idea of equality in Jane Eyre’s mind. God hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, God gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of equality and self-respect impress us so much and let us feel the power inside her body.In my mind, though a person’s beauty on the face can make others once feel that one is attractive and charming, if his or her mind isn’t the same beautifulas the appearance, such as beauty cannot last for, when others find that the beauty which had charmed them was only a falsity, it’s not true, they will like the person no more. For a long time, only a person’s GREat virtue, a noble soul, a beautiful heart can be called as AN EVERLASTING BEAUTY, just as Kahill Gibran has said, that ‘Beauty is a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted’.I can feel that how beauty really is, as we are all fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but as there are great differences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether a man is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he is beautiful or not.Her story makes us thinking about life and we learn much from her experience, at least, that is a fresh new recognition of the real beauty.简爱-一个美丽的灵魂简爱,是一个贫穷但有抱负,身体小,但在灵魂,晦涩,而自尊的女孩,巨大的。

读《简爱》的读书笔记英文,600字Jane Eyre is a novel written by Charlotte Bronte at the outset of the Victorian era. The story follows Jane, a plain and poor but spirited young girl, as she faces many obstacles in her life such as societal restrictions and cruel treatment. Through her courage and resilience, she stands up to these challenges, achieving respect and true love. The novel opens with Jane being sent away to Lowood Institution, a harsh and unkind school for the poor. Here she attempts to find a sense of belonging despite the cruelly imposed rules. Jane is then employed as a governess of Thornfield Hall, the estate of the mysterious Mr Rochester. As the two slowly become close and fall in love, their union is threatened by the existence of Mr Rochester’s insane first wife. The novel demonstrates the power of female strength under extremely difficult situations. Jane’s refusal to be oppressed, despite the limitations placed upon her due to her gender, class and lack of money, shows us that even in the toughest of circumstances, we can remain uncompromising and fight for what we believe in. Through her relationships with characters such as the Blanche Ingram and St John Rivers, the book delves into the ideas of marriage and companionship. Jane is often torn between her devotion to Rochester and her strong moral values. This dilemma ultimately leads to her refusing an offer of marriage from St John Rivers, showing us that although there is security and comfort in companionship, true happiness lies in being able to make your own decisions.Jane Eyre is an inspiring story of a woman’s struggle to find her place in society, despite the restrictions and criticisms that come her way. It is an excellent portrayal of how female strength and determination can break through any obstacles, reaching true independence and ultimately, love.。

Jane Eyre, a novel by Charlotte Bronte, published in 1847, is considered one of the classics of English literature. The novel tells the story of the titular character, Jane Eyre, from her childhood in poverty and abuse to her adult life as an independent andstrong-willed woman. As I read this book, I was struck by its themes of love, morality, and personal growth, and I have created this reading journal to document my thoughts on this timeless novel.Chapter 1: As I read the first chapter of Jane Eyre, I was immediately drawn into the story of a young girl who seems to be alone in the world. Jane's isolation and rejection by her peers struck me as a universal experience that many people can relate to. Her inner strength and intelligence are apparent from the first few pages, and I found myself rooting for her to overcome her circumstances.Chapter 10: In this chapter, I was struck by the recurring theme of morality in the novel. Jane is faced with a difficult decision when she discovers that her employer, Mr. Rochester, intends to marry a woman who is already married. She faces a moral dilemma: should she reveal the truth and risk losing her job, or keep quiet and compromise her integrity? Ultimately, shechooses to follow her conscience, even though the consequences are uncertain.Chapter 23: As I read about the development of Jane's relationship with Mr. Rochester, I was struck by the complexity of their connection. It is not simply a love story, but one that involves equality, trust, and mutual respect. Jane becomes Mr. Rochester's equal and his intellectual match, and I found their relationship to be one of the most interesting aspects of the book.Chapter 28: In this chapter, Jane comes face-to-face with the consequences of her earlier decision to follow her conscience. She is accused of a crime she did not commit and is forced to flee. I was struck by the unfairness of Jane's situation and the vulnerability of her position as a young woman in Victorian society. This chapter highlights the resilience of Jane's character and her determination to find her place in the world.Chapter 38: As I read about Jane's reunion with Mr. Rochester, I was struck by the themes of redemption and forgiveness. Mr. Rochester's tragic circumstances have changed him, and he is now less arrogant and more humble. He is redeemed in Jane's eyes through his acceptance of his past mistakes and his willingness to change. Their happy ending feels all the more satisfying because of the personal growth that both characters have experienced.Overall, Jane Eyre is a novel that explores the complex themes of morality, love, and personal growth. Its titularcharacter is a strong role model for young women, and her struggles and triumphs continue to resonate with readers today. As I read this book and reflected on its themes, I found myself inspired by Jane's strength and determination, and I am grateful for the opportunity to experience such a classic piece of literature.。

Book Review of Jane Eyre
外国语分院英语零九一班吴梦薇 17
Background of Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre is the masterpiece of Charlotte Bronte, an English woman author in 19th century. The works possess romanticism and realism. It is also thought that this book is author’s autobiography.
Introduction of Jane Eyre
Jane was a pure and thinkable woman, who lived in substrata of society and struck with life. But she was fractious and the sprite of perusing happiness. The works sing the love respecting each other and break away from conman customs and preoccupation. The most successful of this book is to figure a female image who dared to gainst and try for liberte and egalite.
Characteristics of characters
Jane Eyre was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt, the only relative she had, treated her as badly as a ragtag. She had a terrible childhood but it’s not affected her future because she is poor but aspiring, small in body but huge in soul, obscure but self-respecting girl.
Jane was also a thinkable woman in her love, she thought love is equal, free and respecting, so she gain a happy ending with beautiful personality.
My thoughts of Jane Eyre
Jane owns goodness for her lover, Rochester, who lost arms and eyes, and also for someone who had hurt her.
Jane owns pursuit for justice; it helps her to promote goodness on one side and check the badness on the other side.
Jane owns self-respect and clear situation on equality. Also her life experience is hardships, but she never underrates herself. She thinks everyone is the same. She has the right to gain happiness through hardworking.
Jane owns toughness, confidence and striving for life……
She is not beautiful and wealthy and very normal in conman’s mind. But in my opinion, the beauty on the face is not important than in the heart because the beauty of heart could live forever but not the beauty of face. So, to me or to all girls in the world, we needn’t inferiority and complaint with ourselves if we don’t have beauty and wealth because the
true happiness is not gained by the tow things. Actually, we should learn to be a person who is like Jane, how fearless woman.。
