但也有20%的学生表示对英语学习不感兴趣,主要原因包括英语学习难度大、课堂氛围枯燥乏味,以及缺乏学习动力等。
(二)学生的英语学习方法。
在英语学习方法方面,调查结果显示,大部分学生(约70%)主要采取课堂学习和课后复习的方式。

信心需要自己的不断努力，同时也离不开老师的鼓励。
2、对记忆单词的挑战性缺乏足够的心理准备。
学生在一开始记忆单词的效果是很好的，但随着学习任务的加重和单词量的越来越大，其记忆效果大不如前。
究其原因，学生对单词记忆的困难估计不足，缺乏心理准备，当遇到一些困难时容易丧失信心。
3、记忆方法不科学。
在学生的潜意识中，背单词就和小学背诵古诗文一样，要靠“死记硬背”，背诵古诗文固然如此，但背单词却有不同。
所以很多同学就会养成光动嘴不动手的习惯，殊不知，英语单词的记忆要调动各个器官，尤其是嘴，手，眼，脑。
唯其如此，单词才能较快记住。
4、巩固不到位。
相当一部分同学认为，单词记下了就等于单词记牢了，这是一种错误的认识，也是违背遗忘的一般规律的。
德国心理学家艾宾浩斯研究发现，遗忘在学习之后立即开始，而且遗忘的进程并不是均匀的。
最初遗忘速度很快，以后逐渐缓慢。
他认为"保持和遗忘是时间的函数"，要让单词记得牢，重复记忆是必不可少的组成部分，只有做大量反复的刺激，单词才能记得住且记得牢。

摘要：随着社会的发展，英语变得越来越重要，但在农村，英语学习情况并不乐观，，难以达到教学目的。
本文针对调查问卷结果进行分析，并对如何改善这一状况提出几点看法。
正文：英语在当今社会中的重要性无可否认。
但在初中，尤其是农村普通高中，英语教学并不顺利，成果也并不那么尽人意。
老师辛苦，学生疲惫，但成效不大。
对此，我进行了教育调查，并与师生进行座谈，以更加深入了解这个情况，并针对此提出解决措施。
一、调查目的
了解初中学生现有的英语学习情况，以及影响他们英语学习的各方面因素，在掌握具体情况的基础上，有针对性地采取一些相应措施，促使教师真正改变教学理念，切实改进教学方法，加强教学的针对性和实效性。
同时，也促进学生英语学习兴趣的提高和发展，变学生消极被动的学习为积极主动的学习，教学共进，力求达到教学的最大有效值，最终最大限度改变初中学生英语学习的不良现状。
二、调查方法与对象
根据本课题的研究目的，本次调查的方法主要采用问卷调查、学生座谈以及教师座谈，其中问卷调查中设计了10个选择题、3个开放性简答题。
对象为本校初一至初三学生，共发问卷120份，回收有效问卷115份。
三、调查结果和原因分析
此次调查有13个问题，涉及到影响学生英语学习的原因主要有两大类：其一，来自于学生自身的因素，即内因包括学习英语的兴趣、自信心、态度等方面；其二，外部的环境因素，即包括家庭、社会、学校等方面。
（一）学生对英语学习的自信心
总体说来，学生对英语学习的自信心不够。
如在调查“你现有的英语基础与水平”一题时，选“中等”的占51%；选“差”的占13%，因为基础太差，对学好英语已没感觉了，甚至对整个学习也麻木了。
反映出学生的自信心不足。
这也会影响学生英语学习质量。
（二）学生自身对英语学习的兴趣
大部分同学对英语学习兴趣不浓。
如在调查“你对英语学习感兴趣”这个问题时，选“特别感兴趣”的只占12%；选“比较感兴趣”的占20%；其他同学对英语或不太感兴趣或一点都不感兴趣。
没有兴趣，英语学习就成了一种应付，一种压力，这也是英语学不好的一个重要因素。
（三）学生对英语学习的态度
兴趣和自信心决定学生对英语学习的态度，在“你对你的英语学习满意吗”一题中，回答“不好”的占50%以上。
大部分学生对学习英语的热情程度不够高，并且认为学英语是为了“应付中考”的大有人在。
（四）学生所处的家庭状况：
由于该学校处于农村，家长对英语并不了解，而且教育方式也有待改进。
家长与学生沟通少，不了解学生学习情况，也无能为力辅导学生的英语学习。
在“你的家长辅导你英语吗”一题的答案中80%以上选择“从来没有”。
（五）学生对教师的认识
现实中的英语教师大多尽心尽责，根据学生实际水平进行教学，合理利用多媒体。
但也有老师讲课单调，课上讲的时间太多，学生练习时间少。
英语教学成了与其他学科没有多大差别的学科。
调查发现，学生希望老师能具有幽默感，调节课堂气氛，要具有亲和力，多于学生沟通，能与学生融为一体，讲课要有吸引力，口语流利，水平一流，博学多才。
四、对调查结果的思考
（一）影响初中生英语学习成因分析
社会对人才的需求标准的变动，学校实施素质教育的影响，家庭环境、父母对学生的影响，以及教师的教学方法、教学态度，都对学生的英语学习产生影响。
（二）改变初中生英语学习现状的对策
1．倡导新学习方式，引导有效学习
要使学生变被动为主动，提倡和发展多样化的学习方式，提倡自主、合作、探究和个性化的学习方式。
这要求教师要做到：
教师与学生要构建良好的师生关系，用愉快的课堂气氛充分调动学生的积极性。
在课堂上充分利用多媒体技术教学，创设情景，刺激视觉、听觉，加深印象。
还提高语言操练、注意课堂用语的准确、规范。
在辅导学生过程中，要综合运用多种学习方式，相互促进。
要注意因材施教，针对学生特点，采取不同方法，针对不同层次的学生，布置不同的作业，确立不同的评价标准，是学生确立良好的学习心态。
2. 学生要掌握正确的学习方法
学生要有计划、有目的、有步骤地学习，同时也要学会良好的学习习惯：课前主动预习，上课专心听讲，勤于动脑，善于思考，认真作笔记，大胆提问，积极回答问题，课后主动复习，善于归纳和总结，碰到问题要先动脑思考，然后使用工具书，要不耻下问。
对单词的学习要知音知形知意，在句中记单词。
平日要多说多练，朗读时要大声，发现错误，及时纠正。
此外，要认真按时完成作业，科学利用时间，合理利用工具书。
3．学校要创设良好的校园环境。
学校要营造良好的学习氛围，可在早上放一些英语录音，组织和观看英语原声电影等，要组织英语学习活动，如演讲比赛，英文名着读后感等
4．建设多元渠道，实施有效教学。
学校要及时开设学习指导班；针对学生学习不足，有针对性的指导；通过改善师生关系以增进师生情感交流和互动；开展丰富多彩的活动，改善枯燥的学习生活和低下的学习效益，可以利用校园广播和电视手段，满足学生早晨听听英语歌曲，中午收听简明易懂的英语故事，晚上适当安排观看原版英文；还可在学校开设一些英语角，举办一些英语讲座或英语学习辅导班，开展几次英语竞赛，开设几场英语才艺表演，如英文歌曲演唱、英语小品演出等，鼓励学生用英语交流。
英语的重要性无可否认，因此，学校、家庭和教师都要加以注重，同时学生也要端正态度，变被动为主动。
