读:能在阅读中通过语境识别新学词汇、短语并推断出其意义;能读懂课文、理解作者的情感;能读懂同等难度的有关人际关系的文章。
写:运用本模块所学词汇和短语进行写作;能续写本模块的课文;能熟练地使用本模块所学的语法结构进行表达;能写一篇与一位朋友发展友谊的过程的短文。

三、重点与难点:重点:词汇、短语、句型、非谓语动词的用法。

四、教材处理:根据教学内容及课本中习题设置将本模块做如下重组:Period 1Introduction (V ocabulary and Speaking) + Listening and V ocabulary + Everyday English整合原因:上述三个内容安排到一起是因为Introduction 引入了有关人际关系的词汇,为Listening and V ocabulary 的学习做热身准备,Everyday English 内容不多,且是Listening 中出现的短语,联系紧密,由此加深对听力内容的理解,并锻炼了说和运用的能力,这三部分结合在一起,实现了语言输入的过程,为单元学习作好准备。
