Differences between Eastern and Western cultures
To interact with people outside of China, I think one important issue is to understand different cultures. So I want to talk about the differences between Eastern and Western cultures from the most important 4 parts:food, wearing, living and traffic.
First of all, food, normally be the biggest part of the culture. As we all know, that westerners eat with knife and forks, but easterners with chopsticks. The westerners eat almost no rice, but meat, and the easterners eat lots of rice with some meat and other food. What is more interesting is that, westerners eat the salad without cooking it,but the easterners love cooking most of the time.
Second will be the wearing. With the contact between China and the world being frequent, there are not too many differences between China and west. But there is still an obvious difference about the standard of being pretty. In the west, dark or tan skin is what shows healthy and pretty. But In the east, the whiter you are, the prettier you are.
To the third part, about living.People in west would rather rent a house with enough money than build or buy a house with loans.Well, most of the easterners behave just oppositely.
About the traffic,It is also a big part.Because of the different speed of development, the west and east have big different opinion on lots of traffic rules, such as traffic lights, the different roads for cars, bicycles and walking people and so on.
In conclusion, from above examples, we can see how important it is to know other cultures. Lack of the understanding of other cultures could lead to huge conflict and misunderstanding. Therefore before an intercultural communication is accruing, lots of studies should be done to reduce the chance of conflict. The more ways of living you know, the broader your mind will be.
British Culture
When people talk about the UK, the first impression may be the old gentleman, traditional, prosperous and strong, or Beckham, Elizabeth and Mr. Bean. Everyone has different impressions of Britain. Here i mainly want to talk about British culture.
Britain is a wealthy country, the world's leading power since the first industrial revolution. In the 18th century, Britain is the world's biggest country, while in the early 20th century the situation is different. Though Britain was influenced by the war and a series of factors, the superpower position was replaced by the United States, it is still an influential power in the world. With its developed economy, British people attach great importance to the quality of their life. The Britain's working hours is about 22 hours a week. They have few working hours, so they have much more free time to do whatever they like, for example, doing the housework by themselves, doing sports, traveling, reading, writing, listening to music and so on.
Besides, the Englishman love to behave gentlemanly. They always say" lady first" in their daily life. They pay attention to their appearance. They dress neatly. They shake hands when they meet others. When they are with others, they usually say "please""thank you""sorry" and so on.
As is known to us,English afternoon tea is famous all over the world. British have a 300-years-old history of drinking black tea.In other words, there is no country that is professional than Britain in tasting black tea. The traditional afternoon tea time is four o'clock in the afternoon, it is commonly known as Low Tea. The English like drinking tea and treat it as a kind of seeing friends.
Britain is a very interesting country.I hope one day I can go to Britain to experience their local culture!。

跨文化交际感受英文作文
跨文化交际感受英文作文英文:Cross-cultural communication is an incrediblyfascinating experience. It can be both challenging and rewarding at the same time. As someone who has had the opportunity to interact with people from different cultures, I have come to appreciate the importance of effectivecross-cultural communication. One of the things that I have learned is that communication goes beyond just speaking the same language. Even when two people speak the same language, theircultural backgrounds can influence the way they communicate. For example, in some cultures, it is considered rude to interrupt someone while they are speaking, while in others, it is perfectly acceptable. Understanding these cultural differences is key to effective communication.Another thing that I have noticed is that body languageand tone of voice can also play a big role in cross-cultural communication. For instance, in some cultures, direct eye contact is seen as a sign of respect and honesty, while in others, it can be seen as confrontational. Similarly, the tone of voice used can also convey different meanings in different cultures.Despite the challenges, cross-cultural communicationcan also be incredibly rewarding. It can help us gain a deeper understanding of different cultures and ways of life. It can also help us to develop more empathy and tolerance towards others.中文:跨文化交际是一种非常有趣的体验。
