Being friends with a cuckoo flower has been an amazing experience for me. We have developed a unique bond that goes beyond words. The cuckoo flower, also known as lady's smock, is a beautiful and delicate flower that blooms in spring. Its pale pink petals and sweet fragrance always bring a smile to my face. One of the reasons why I love being friends with the cuckoo flower is its resilience. Despite its delicate appearance, it is a tough survivor. It can withstand harsh weather conditions and still bloom beautifully. This reminds me that even in the face of challenges, we should never give up and always strive to bloom.Another reason why I cherish my friendship with the cuckoo flower is its ability to attract butterflies and bees. It serves as a source of nourishment for thesecreatures, and in return, they help in the pollination process. This teaches me the importance of mutual support and cooperation in friendships. Just like the cuckoo flower and the insects, we should always be there for each other and help one another grow.Furthermore, the cuckoo flower has a unique way of spreading its seeds. It produces long, slender pods that burst open when touched, scattering the seeds around. This reminds me of the phrase "scatter the seeds of kindness". Just like the cuckoo flower, we should always spread kindness wherever we go, touching the lives of others and leaving a positive impact. In addition to its symbolic meanings, the cuckoo flower also brings joy to my everyday life. Whenever I see its vibrant pink color and inhale its sweet fragrance, it instantly lifts my mood. It is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, bringing warmth and happiness to my heart.

Introduction:The cuckoo flower, also known as the common cuckoo flower or lady's smock, is a beautiful and delicate flower that belongs to the Brassicaceae family. It is native to Europe and Asia and is commonly found in meadows, wetlands, and along riverbanks. The cuckoo flower is known for its vibrant colors and sweet fragrance, making it a popular choice for gardens and floral arrangements.Appearance and Features:The cuckoo flower has slender stems that can reach a height of up to 60 centimeters. The leaves are pinnate, meaning they are divided into smaller leaflets, and have a distinctive serrated edge. The flowers are small and delicate, with four petals that come in various shades ofpink, lilac, and white. The petals have a slightly rounded shape and are arranged in a cross-like pattern, giving the flower its characteristic appearance. The cuckoo flower blooms in spring and early summer, adding a splash of color to the landscape.Ecological Importance:The cuckoo flower plays an important role in the ecosystem as a source of food for various insects and birds. The nectar produced by the flowers attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, helping to ensure the reproduction of other plant species. Additionally, the leaves of the cuckoo flower serve as food for thecaterpillars of certain butterfly species, such as the orange tip butterfly. These interactions between the cuckoo flower and other organisms contribute to the overall biodiversity of the environment.Cultural Significance:The cuckoo flower has also found its way into folkloreand cultural traditions. In some European countries, it is believed that finding a cuckoo flower in bloom brings good luck and prosperity. In England, the cuckoo flower is associated with the arrival of spring and the return of migratory birds, particularly the cuckoo bird. Its name, "cuckoo flower," is derived from the fact that it blooms around the same time that cuckoos start their mating calls. This connection to nature and seasonal changes has made the cuckoo flower a symbol of renewal and rebirth. Conclusion:In conclusion, the cuckoo flower is a beautiful and significant flower that adds color and fragrance to the environment. Its slender stems, delicate petals, and ecological interactions make it a fascinating species to study. Whether it is admired in a garden or encountered in the wild, the cuckoo flower is a symbol of nature's beauty and the cycles of life.

The cuckoo, the spirit of my native place Sichuan, is probably holding a higher place in Chinese literature than any other bird. The mere mention of this bird will arouse in our hearts a great deal of poetic feeling. The mere mention of this bird will arouse in our hearts a great deal of poetic feeling.
To begin with, she is the incarnation of the legendary king of ancient Sichuan named Wang Di. She has come to be known sometimes as an ill-fated beauty and sometimes as a patriot concerned over the fate of the nation. Her call is full of longings for home; she loiters about the mountains crying and spitting up blood. She pathetic, sad, pure and sincere … She is in the eyes of all a symbol of love, which seems to have become a national feeling.要点:1,“望帝”是我国古代传说中的蜀国国王,故译为the legendary king of ancient Sichuan named Wang Di.
Review of One Flew over the Cuckoo(飞越疯人院)英文版

Review of One Flew over the Cuckoo’s NestOne Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest was released in 1975 in America, a very unique movie choosing a lunatic asylum as the setting. This movie was shot by Milos Forman and nominated for 5 awards in Oscar. The leading role Jack Nicholson acted as an aggressive hooligan Randle Patrick McMurphy who was committed to a lunatic asylum to test whether he was crazy or not. There he acquainted with many crazies and to help them McMurphy lead them to fight against the strict rules there. He failed finally but one of them Chief Bromden left to find his own freedom.McMurphy was really a big guy just like Chief once said in the movie,“ you’re a lot bigger than I am.”it’s true because in Mac’s heart nothing is more important than freedom or maybe the motto “seize the day”. But to say he was a big guy not because he could do things others did not dare to do, but he was loyal to his friends. Even though most of the crazies thought little of Mac, he dared to accept them and dedicated his brotherhood to them. You see, when Billy suicide, Mac gave up his chance to escape from that hell for his anger burning out of his chest. You can tell how furiously he took Miss Ratched by the throat, when she nearly choked to death. To some extent, Mac was also a smart guy though he was not that strong to reject the social rules of societal forces. Once he tried to break the rules and make the authorities loose him, he climbed over the fence, drove away the madhouse’s bus, but he failed again. In the end, the scene Chief suffocated him was really disappointed. The music raised in the movie was echoed inside our hearts driving us to a much rebellious condition, that Chief evaded this destiny. McMurphy was a herald to revolt the repression of society. And in this movie though such forerunner fell down, another took his mission and succeeded. This rebellion rose in was a warning to the conscious person and unconscious person that we were extremely fettered by reality and society. This lunatic asylum was like a small society alluding our society. What impressed me the most in the movie is in the scene that Mac, Chief and Cheswick was taken to be treated. At that time, the other patients were strolling around the corridor. Abruptly, the doctor came and patients on the quite hided to the nearest stuff. This small incident made me surprised and in the same time reminded me of the THERAPY which was emphasized by Miss Ratched. The hospital tended to use the developed therapy and some crazy modern technologies to heal the lunatics. But they did not take the lunatics themselves in consideration. The doctors are also human beings. How come they treated the lunatics like that? Maybe what they thought is that was better to them. The thing itself this method created to treat people is crazy. What’s more, they even did not allow the patients to revolt. Patients like Mac were the sacrifice. They worked on him. That’s why Chief’s dad was dead. And that’s why there’re still people who tried to break the cage.Despite the plots, the meeting which Miss Ratched considered as a therapy also impressed me. The director arranged five meetings in the whole developing of themovie. As I concerned, these meetings acted as the clue and the main line connecting the whole plots. And each meeting has its own unique meaning. At the beginning, when McMurphy first joined in this group, he didn’t wearing the uniform. He laughed at the nuts’ quarrellings as an audience. He was not actual one of this madhouse. After McMurphy tried to slow down the music in this ward, he was refused. Then in the second meeting, he began to show his dissatisfaction of the unchangeable routine. He challenged further of asking to watch the world series and held a hand vote. To his surprise, he realized these people have already been repressed. He failed disappointed. But whatsoever he could get a supporter, Cheswick, a crown who still held his right by protecting the other patients like Mr. Harding and Billy. In the third meeting, it was this Cheswick who gave McMurphy the strength to restrike the rule. Another vote held. Actually, this time McMurphy won both in his rebellion but his faith. But the authority of course could not accept which was McMurphy could not understand. To some extent, McMurphy wanted to stretch more on this revolt to release the patients’heart but also him to the outside. However, he was insignificant in the eyes of the authority. The significant thing was he was dangerous. So they decided to keep him on the ward to “help” him. When McMurphy came to realize his situation, it came to the fourth meeting. He sensed the crisis, but when friends in the ward had problem, he rushed out without hesitation. At that point, McMurphy went nearer to his final destiny, the sacrifice. To survive, he planed an escaping. So in the last meeting, he presented quite meek. This is the meaning each meeting held, from the very beginning to Mac’s final decision forming the whole story.I’ve watched this movie for four times, but still I can sense something the writer arranged in the movie I did not identify. One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest really worth thinking deeply.。

It said 17,662 hardback(精装本) c opies were sold between 14 and 20 July, up from just 43 copies the previous week, according to Nielsen Book Scan data. The Cuckoo's Calling was the week's bestselling hardback novel, despite some booksellers running out of stock. The Harry Potter author was identified in a newspaper article last week.On a websitededicated to her nom de plume, Rowling said 8,500 English language copies had been sold across all formats, including e-books, before her unmasking(揭露).The author added that she had received two offers from television production companies."The situation was becoming increasingly complicated, largely because Robert was doing rather better than we had expected him to," she said. "But we all still hoped to keep the secret a little longer."Robert's success during his first three months as a published writer (discounting sales made after I was found out) actually compares favourably with JK Rowling's success over the equivalent period of her career."However, The Bo okseller reported t he hardback had sold fewer than 500 copies in its three-month period on sale before the Sunday Times' expose. The recent spike in sales were not enough to send The Cuckoo's Calling to the top spot in the official UK top 50, instead landing it in third place. The Rowling revelation coincided with the paperback release of The Casual Vacancy - her first official post-Potter work - which sold 19,548 copies in the same week, making the book number two in the sales chart.Neither title managed to topple(推翻) John Grisham's The Racketeer from the top of the chart, which shifted 24,222 copies - a 19% drop on the previous week.Elsewhere on the Robert Galbraith website, Rowling has revealed the reason she chose her pen name. She said she picked Robert because US senator Robert F Kennedy was her "hero" and she had never used the name in one of her earlier books."I can only hope all the real Robert Galbraiths out there will be as forgiving as the real Harry Potters have been," she wrote.A sequel to The Cuckoo's Calling has been finished and should be published next year, the author added.。

The cuckoo"s call becomes a symbol of hope and comfort for Franz, reminding him of the simpler times before the war.It also represents the connection he feels with his father, who is far away and facing his own battles.布谷鸟的叫声成为弗朗茨对希望和慰藉的象征,使他想起战争前的简单时光。
