As is known to all, old people, usually suffering from the pain of diseases or the potential health hazards, can receive professional care in nursing houses, where first-class medical facilities are equipped and experienced staff are always available. Furthermore, when emergency happens, nursing houses will definitely responde more promptly than children who are not likely to be with their parents all the time, and for this reason, accidents and tradegy can be avoided. At a deeper level, adults don’t have to be distracted to worry about their parents, so they can better focus on their career, which benefits the society to some extent.Admittedly, staying in home and being taken care of by their own children can give old people a stronger sense of family bound. 剑桥雅思5test1雅思大作文高分范文:equal male and female in every subject?

剑桥雅思5test1雅思大作文高分范文:equal male and female in every subject?

剑5test1雅思高分范文:equal male and female in every subject?解析:这是一篇关于教育的雅思写作高分作文范文,主要内容是提供了一种观点就是,在大学的任何一个学科里,都应该有相同数量的男性和女性。

你同意这种观点吗?为什么?Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female study in every subject. Do you agree or disagree.

Nowhere in the world has the issue of female rights and interests been so much debated as in our society. Nowadays, plenty of universities limit the number of female students who study in some of subjects; therefore, many people think universities should accept equal numbers of men and female study in every subject, but others have a negative attitude. As far as I am concerned, I think men and women should gain equal educational opportunities, but accepting equal numbers of male and female, in every subject, is unnecessary and impossible. Therefore, I disagree with the view that universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. My argument in support of my view is as follows. The main reason is that mode of thinking is different between female and male. Everyone, male and female, has equal right to study in universities, nevertheless, due to difference of in thought and views. Men and Women may represent varied study capability. A case in point is that men may possess more talent than women in mathematics, physics and like stuff. In the study of language, on the other hand, female shows stronger ability than male. In the history of human beings, most scientists, especially those who research abstract theories, are male.Another reason is that nature decides different directions of development between men and women. Today, although female’s right is being increased, female still plays a different social role. Women are by nature good at house keeping since the biological function of a woman is first to bring children into the world and then to bring them up and it has been proved by some scientists that women are not good at business management, political administeration, etc. So, in the study of business and management, requiring equal numbers of male and female is not essential. From what has been discussed above, we may draw the conclusion that accepting equal numbers of male and female students in every subject is impossible and I also disagree with this point of view.。

雅思剑桥5口语解析test2

PART 1COLOR• What’s your favorite color?White:I love the color white because it’s so clean and pure. When I wear white, I feel very peaceful at heart. But I have to pay attention because it gets dirty so easily. I think a white Tee Shirt and blue jeans are the best combination.Black:I think black is very mysterious and sophisticated. For a girl, it looks very sexy. And when you wear black you look thinner, because the color is very slimming.Blue:It’s the color of the sea and the sky. It’s also the color of jeans. So I guess in a sense, it’s a young and free color.Red:Red is the hottest and most enthusiastic color you can ever imagine. And it’s the color of China.Green:The color green reminds me of the nature and the environment. It’s the color of Spring when all lives come back around us. So wearing this color, I feel very close to nature.• Do you like the same color now as you did when you were younger?Same:Well, yeah.I’m a kind of person that likes something and doesn’t change. And I think the colors of black and white are the most classic. I’m a simple guy, so I like simple colors.Changed:I guess it changed. When I was young, I was childish, so I like bright colors, such as light yellow and shiny red. But now, I’m a 20 years old young man, I’m more mature, and so I like more understated colors, such as dark blue or deep green.• What can you learn about a person from the color they like?I think you can tell about a person’s personality by his or her favorite colors. For example, if a person loves the color red, he’s very out-going and not afraid to show his feelings and emotions. But if a person loves black, for instance, she maybe very reserved and mysterious. She may not want to share too much with others.• Do any colors have special meanings in your culture?I think the colors of red and yellow represent our home country, China, because they’re the main colors of the national flag. The color red also means happy occasions, such as wedding.I know that the color white means wedding in the west. Yet, the it means death in China. Surprising, huh?PART 2Describe a song or a piece of music you likeYou should say• What the song or music it is• What kind of song or music it is• Where you first heard itAnd explain why you like itAnswers:I love music. It’s as important as food and water to me. I can’t spend one day without listening to my favorite tunes. And I have an extensive collection of all kinds of music, from classical to rock and roll, from Jazz to hip-hop.It’s funny how I love so many different schools of music. And recently, one of my all-time-favorite tunes is “What Goes Around” by Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake is huge right now in America and he’s working with so many famous names including Timbaland and Madonna. This song is from his new album “Sexy Back”.This song is definitely hip-hop, which is very popular among young people right now. Justin uses his voice in a unique way and it has a special characteristic.I heard this song not long ago when I was watching the latest hit show on American Television, “Gossip Girl”. So in the first episode, when the girl was coming back to her hometown, this song was playing in the background. It suddenly caught my attention. And I searched for it and got it.I’ve been listening to this song for sometime now, but I still like it very strongly. Especially when I’m tired from all my learning, I put it in my ear, and the beat, the rhythm will wake me up and give me so much energy and joy in life again. People say music affects your mood. It’s so true. Hip-hop is young and passionate. And the song “What goes around” is from the phrase “What goes around, comes around.” I guess it has a very positive meaning. As you work hard, you will improve.PART 3话题1:Music and Young PeopleQ: What kinds of music are popular with young people in your culture?Answer: (1 min 8-9 sentences)I’m not a music student but an amateur music lover. (业余的)And I haven’t done any research and survey about the music industry in China. (研究调查) But from my personal experience, young people in China appreciate pop, hip-hop and R&B the most. It think this is largely because many people who have been abroad are bringing back a new musical taste. So boy groups, such as Westlife, and singers, for example, Justin Timberlake, Usher or the Taiwan R&B king, David Tao, become really popular. And the development of music technology makes listening to music very convenient. Right now, it only costs you a few hundred yuan to buy a large Mp3, well it’s not iPod, but works just fine. I listen to music, like, all the time. And right now I’m most interested in Hip-hop. It’s young, energetic and so fashionable. (150 words)Q: What do you think influences the young people’s tastes in music?Answer:童年爸妈影响I think the first influence on a person’s taste of music comes from parents. When you were young, you have no idea what to listen to, you have no taste in music, and your mom and dad provide you the first music education by showing you the music that they like. And Chinese parents often force their kids to study a musical instrument, such as piano, violin. Such education can easily make a person fall in love with classical music.成长中朋友影响And the second and perhaps the strongest influence is from your friends. When you’re growing up, your confidence and understanding of the world also improve, and the people who spend the most time with you, your friends and classmates, certainly will influence your tastes in everything, including music. You probably go CD shopping together, and then listen to the same music in the same room.成人后媒体影响At last, when you finally become an adult, an exciting thing happens—you develop your personal identity, independence and style. You’re more sure about who you’re since now you’re a grown-up. But, my friend, you are still influenced by the media, such as TV, radio, and the internet. And such things provide you the third kind of music influence. (203 words)Q: How has technology affected the kinds of music popular with young?Answer:When I was very young, I didn’t have many cds to listen to because getting new songs and new cds was very difficult. But right now, with the fast development of the internet, information is so readily available.Young people can know the newest CDs in just a few minutes they spend on the internet. And they can even purchase new music by visiting iTunes website. And I think Apple Computer contributed a lot to the music industry. Because of iPod, music is shared internationally. And in one small gadget/ box, you can carry more than 500 albums of music. Listening to music has never been so easy. And the promotion of music videos on music channels, such as MTV and Channel V, is also making new artists, new cds popular among young people. So the internet, iPod and TV media are the three biggest technological assistance for the development of music. (152 words)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------话题2:Music and societyQ: Tell me about any traditional music in your culture.Answer:I’m a young person, and naturally I enjoy music from the west, such as hip-hop and rock ‘n’roll. And I guess the traditional music in Chinese culture that I can think of right now, is played often with Erhu and Guzheng. These are Chinese traditionalmusical instruments with strings(弦乐器). And such music is folk music, which is created by grassroots artists long time ago. When you listen to it, you will have an exotic feeling, “Wow! This is so very Chinese.” Such music reflects Chinese tradition, history and culture. And also the lifestyle of people in China is shown.(105 words)Q: How important is it for a culture to have musical tradition?Answer:Tradition is history, the cultural past. It’s important for a country to have a musical tradition because it can show how glorious a history the country has. And I think the music of any country has a special tone, and such a tone distinguishes one countryfrom others. So you can be yourself and not other people. This encourages a country’s national pride. And what’s more, since every country has a special kind of music, we put them all together, the world will have more variety and diversity in music. It’s agreat benefit for music lovers, right? (98 words)Q: Why do you think countries have national anthems or song?Answer:I think the primary reason for a country to have a national anthem is the same as when a person needs a name. It shows you’re different from others. And similar to your name, national anthem is also a representation of the country. It’s a musicalsymbol of the nation. This year, the Olympics will be held in Beijing. And national songs are practical because they will be played when an athlete wins a gold medal. It’s a moment of honor and glory. I think in difficult times, such as disasters or wars, national anthems can encourage the citizens of a country. They promote patriotism among people. (107 wds)。

剑桥雅思6写作test2小作文题目:The table below gives the information about changes in modes of travel in England between 1985 and 2000.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features. And make comparisons where relevant.范文:The chart below indicates the variations in citizens' choices of means of transport in England from 1985 to 2000.It is noticeable that the mean route covered individually each year had on the whole been increased by 2000.Car,which was always the most popular means of transport during the 15-year period, grew by more than half to 4806 miles.Meanwhile, other modes of transport also revealed a rising tide, rising moderately to 585miles in 2000.Likewise,taxicabs,which was rarely utilized by inhabitants in 1985 and stood at 13 miles, more than tripled to 45 miles during the same period. Some approaches of transport,on the other hand, experienced a downward tide.Local buses,in particular, one of the most significant ways for the residents to move around in 1985(429 miles),stood at 274 miles in 2000,which was nearly halved.Similarly,a moderate dip could be observed in walk and the use of bicycles as well. All in all, despite the fact that the members of the society in England tended to have more mobility, there are still some methods of travelling that were becoming outdated.大作文题目:Successful sports professionals can earn a great deal more money than people in other important professions. some people think this is fully justified while othrs think it is unfair. Discuss both views and give your opinion.范文:As a result of constant media attention, sports professionals in my country have become stars and celebrities, and those at the top are paid huge salaries. Just like movie stars, they live extravagant lifestyles with huge houses and cars. Many people find their rewards unfair, especially when comparing these super salaries with those of top surgeons or research scientists, or even leading politicians who have the responsibility of governing the country. However, sports salaries are not determined by considering the contribution to society a person makes, or the level of responsibility he or she holds. Instead, they reflect the public popularity of sport in general and the level of public support that successful stars can generate. So the notion of “fairness” is not the issue. While those who feel that sports stars’ salaries are justified might argue that the number of professionals with real talent are very few, and the money is a recognition of the skills and dedication a person needs to be successful. Competition is constant and a player is tested every time they perform in their relatively short career. The pressure from the media is intense and there is little privacy out of the spotlight. So all of these factors may justify the huge earnings.Personally, I think that the amount of money such sports stars make is more justified than the huge earnings of movie stars, but at the same time, it indicates that our society places more value on sport than on more essential professionals and achievements.。

剑桥雅思真题5—写作(Test2 附高分范文)Writing Task 1You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.Write at least 150 words.参考范文1(8分):The first graph shows that there is a gradual decrease in study for career reasons with age. Nearly80% of students under 26 years, study for their career. This percentage gradually declines by 10-20%every decade. Only 40% of 40-49yr olds and 18% of over 49yr olds studying for career reasons in late adulthood.Conversely, the first graph also shows that study stemming from interest increases with age. There are only 10% of under 26yr olds studying out of interest. The percentage increases slowly till the beginning of the fourth decade, and increases dramatically in late adulthood. Nearly same number of 40-49yr olds study for career and interest. However 70% of over 49yr olds study for interest in comparison to18% studying for career reasons in that age group. The second graph shows that employer support is maximum (approximately 60%) for the under 26yr students. It drops rapidly to 32% up to the third decade of life, and then increases inlate adulthood up to about 44%. It is unclear whether employer support is only for career-focused study, but the highest level is for those students who mainly study for career purposes.考官评语:This answer summarises the key features of both charts and integrates them well. Clear trends are identified and supported with appropriately-selected figures. The answer could only be improved by adding an introduction to the general topic of the charts. The information is well organised, with a clearly-signalled progression. Linking words are used accurately and precisely, although there is occasional omission. Paragraphing is used well initially, but lapses in the later section.A very good range of vocabulary is used to convey the information concisely and accurately with only occasional inappropriacy. Words are used precisely and there are no errors in spelling or word form.A wide range of structures is used and most sentences in this answer are accurate. Errors are rare and do not affect communication in this answer.参考范文2(9分):The bar charts compare students of different ages in terms of why they are studying and whether they are supported by an employer. It is clear that the proportion of students who study for career purposes is far higher among the younger age groups, while the oldest students are more likely to study for interest. Employer support is more commonly given to younger students.Around 80% of students aged under 26 study to further their careers, whereas only 10% study purely out of interest. The gap between these two proportions narrows as students get older, and the figures for those in their forties are the same, at about 40%. Students aged over 49 overwhelmingly study for interest (70%) rather than for professional reasons (less than 20%).Just over 60% of students aged under 26 are supported by their employers. By contrast, the 30-39 age group is the most self-sufficient, with only 30% being given time off and help with fees. The figures rise slightly for students in their forties and for those aged 50 or more.参考范文3:The bar chart delineates the ratio of pupils who continue their education for the benefit of their career and from passion based on their age groups. The line graph reveals the ratio of support those students get from their companies as a form of financial support and time off. Overall, young students’ main focus for education is their job while it is mostly passion when they grow older. To illustrate, eight of ten people under 26 years old continue education for their career. Only 10% of them do it from passion. Interestingly, the higher the age, the more eager they become to study for personal interest, not for professional reasons. Seven out of ten people who are at least 50 years old study for interest. Finally, these two factors equally motivate people from 40-49 years old to further their learning. The second diagram shows that young employees who are less than 30 years old get more backing from their employers while the least support is expected for workers between 30 to 39 years old. However, it is interesting to notice that employers are more sympathetic to workers over 40 years old than they are to employees in their thirties.参考范文4:The diagrams outline why students from different age groups study and the support they getfrom their employers. Overall, having a good career is the main reason for young to study while it is personal interest for grown-ups. Moreover, young employees get more support from their employers regarding their education.According to the first bar graph, people who are under 40 years old mostly study for the career while people over 49 years mainly study for their interest. Interestingly for the age group 40 to 49, the number of people who study for career and the number of people who study for interest is the same. 80% students under 26 years continue their education to build a career. 7 out of ten students over 49 years old do so for their interest, rather than the career.Graph 2 shows that more than 60% students under 26 years old get support from their employers for their education and this supports includes the time off and monetary supports they get. This percentage reduces with the increase of age and at 30-39 age group, 32% get the support from the employers. After that, the employers’ support for their employees’ education increases and reaches to 45% for the over 49 year’s age group.Writing Task 2You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.Write about the following topic:In some countries young people are encouraged to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies.Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this.Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.Write at least 250 words.参考范文1:It is quite common these days for young people in many countries to have a break from studying after graduating from high school. This trend is not restricted to rich students who have the money to travel, but is also evident among poorer students who choose to work and become economically independent for a period of time. The reasons for this trend may involve the recognition that a young adult who passes directly from school to university is rather restricted in terms of general knowledge and experience of the world. By contrast, those who have spent some time earning a living or traveling to other places, have a broader view of life and better personal resources to draw on. They tend to be more independent, which is a very important factor in academic study and research, as well as giving them an advantage in terms of coping with the challenges of student life. However, there are certainly dangers in taking time off at that important age. Young adults may end up never returning to their studies or finding it difficult to readapt to an academic environment. They may think that it is better to continue in a particular job, or to do something completely different from a university course. But overall, I think this is less likely today, when academic qualifications are essential for getting a reasonable career. My view is that young people should be encouraged to broaden their horizons. That is the best way for them to get a clear perspective of what they are hoping to do with their lives and why. Students with such a perspective are usually the most effective and motivated ones and taking a year off may be the best way to gain this.参考范文2:Nowadays, it is quite common that after graduating high school, students will go to travel or work for one year before they go to college. Many people think it is harm for young people but others stand on the opposite side. For this question, there are numerous disadvantages, and also a lot of advantages at the same time.People, who advocate that traveling and working is harmful for students, give their reasons as follows. Knowledge system is complete, if you work or travel for one year between your graduation of high school and start of university, it means that the whole knowledge system is separated into two parts, and when you back to school, it is difficult for you to get into the tense of study. And young people may also squander a lot of time.On the contrary, a growing number of people claim that spending time to work or travel is good for their college study. On the one hand, when high school students stretch their power energy in high school year, they deserve to have time to relax. It is an excellent way for them to be rife with energy and then start their university life. On the other hand, working is a facilitate way to learn about society. It is not only good for their study, but also helpful for them to find a satisfied job after graduation. This issue should be well taken into consideration. As to how to address this problem, I am convinced that it depends on actual situation.。
