牛津版英语七年级下册期中考试试卷英语作文

牛津版英语七年级下册期中考试试卷英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Unforgettable Summer VacationLast summer was the best vacation ever! I had been counting down the days until school was finally over. Exams were tough, and I was ready for a break. Little did I know, this summer would be one I'd never forget. It all started when my parents surprised me and my little brother, Tommy, with tickets to visit our grandparents in a small village up in the mountains. I wasn't too thrilled at first because I had plans to hang out with my friends and play video games all day. However, my excitement grew as the departure date neared. The journey itself was an adventure. We took a train ride that lasted several hours, watching the cityscape gradually transform into rolling hills and towering mountains. Tommy kept his face glued to the window, mesmerized by the changing scenery. Eventually, we arrived at a quaint little station, where Grandpa was waiting for us with his old pickup truck.Grandpa's house was like stepping into a time machine. It was a cozy little cottage surrounded by vast fields and lush forests. The air was so fresh and crisp, unlike the polluted city air I was used to. Tommy and I couldn't wait to explore the great outdoors. Our days were filled with endless fun and excitement. We went on hikes through the woods, spotting all sorts of wildlife like deer, rabbits, and even a glimpse of a majestic eagle soaring high above. Grandpa taught us how to fish in the nearby stream, and we often came home with a basket full of trout for dinner. One of my favorite memories was when Grandpa took us to the old barn and showed us how to milk the cows. At first, I was a bit hesitant, but after a few tries, I got the hang of it. The warm, frothy milk tasted like nothing I'd ever had before – so rich and creamy. In the evenings, we'd gather around the fireplace, and Grandma would tell us fascinating stories about her childhood growing up in the village. She'd recount tales of mischievous adventures and legendary creatures that supposedly roamed the forests. Tommy and I would listen with wide eyes, completely captivated. One night, Grandpa surprised us by taking us stargazing. We hiked up to a clearing on top of a hill, and the sky was absolutely breathtaking. I had never seen so many stars in my life. Grandpa taught us how to locate different constellations and even pointed out a few shooting stars. It was a magical experience that made me feel so small and insignificant in the grand scheme of the universe. As the weeks went by, I found myself becoming more connected to nature and appreciating the simple pleasures in life.I didn't miss my video games or the constant buzzing of my phone. Instead, I cherished the moments of quiet serenity, listening to the birds singing and the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze.Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The day of our departure arrived, and I felt a pang of sadness. I had grown so attached to this little slice of paradise and the wonderful memories we had created. As we said our goodbyes, Grandma and Grandpa promised us that we could come back next summer, and I couldn't wait.On the train ride back home, I gazed out the window, watching the mountains gradually fade into the distance. I knew that a part of me would forever remain in that little village, and Ivowed to hold on to the lessons I had learned about appreciating nature, family, and the simple joys in life. That summer vacation was truly unforgettable, and it opened my eyes to a world beyond the concrete jungle I had grown up in. It taught me the importance of stepping away from the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnecting with the great outdoors. Most importantly, it brought me closer to my grandparents and helped me cherish the precious moments we shared together.篇2My Summer Vacation AdventuresSummer vacation is finally here! No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more tests for a couple of glorious months. I've been looking forward to this summer break all year. My parents have promised to take me on some fun trips and adventures. Here's what I'm most excited about:First up is our annual family camping trip to the mountains. We pack up the car with our tent, sleeping bags, camp stove, and lots of yummy snacks. I love falling asleep in the tent listening to the sounds of nature - crickets chirping, owls hooting, and leaves rustling in the breeze. Spending a few nights sleeping under thestars and roasting marshmallows over the campfire is the perfect way to start my summer. One of the highlights of our camping trips is going on hikes to explore the beautiful scenery. My parents are really into birdwatching so we always bring binoculars and try to spot as many different species as we can. I get a kick out of imitating their calls. My bird calls are usually louder than the real birds! We also love looking for wildlife like deer, squirrels, chipmunks, and if we're really lucky, maybe we'll see a bear from a safe distance. I'm not much of a hiker yet because my legs get tired easily, but I enjoy the parts where we stop for snacks and water breaks. After our camping trip, we're going to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins who live a few states away. We don't get to see them very often so I'm really looking forward to it. My cousins are twins who are a year younger than me. We always have a blast playing make-believe games and running around outside. Their backyard has an awesome treehouse that welike to pretend is our secret clubhouse. We make up crazy games with objects we find like sticks, pinecones, and dandelions. Once we even tried turning their doghouse into a miniature cafe where we "served" drinks and snacks to the dog! I just hope we can keep coming up with new games to play that are as fun as that one.One thing I'm really excited for is going to the water park with my cousins. It has the craziest water slides, a huge wave pool, a lazy river to float around in tubes, and all sorts of other thrilling rides and attractions. We'll spend all day running from slide to slide and pool to pool until our bodies are exhausted. I can't wait to show off my swimming skills and see if I can beat my cousin's time in the racing slides. We always have competitions to see who is the fastest swimmer! After visiting my cousins, we're going on a trip to the beach for a week. Playing in the sand, riding the waves, looking for seashells, and soaking up the summer sun are some of my favorite activities. I can't wait to go boogie boarding and try and catch some little waves. Maybe I'll even take a surf lesson this year if my parents let me. My dream is to be a pro surfer when I grow up and travel around catching monster waves all over the world!Another fun beach activity is building elaborate sandcastles and sculpture contests. Last year my sandcastle was awarded "Most Creative" because I made a whole village with roads, bridges, a moat, and hundreds of tiny seashell residents. This year I'm going to try and top that by adding a working stream with a little waterfall. My competitive side really comes out withthese sandcastle contests! I won't be satisfied until I earn the "Biggest" and "Best Overall" titles too.Once we get back from the beach, I'll have just a few short weeks left before school starts up again. That's when we'll finally get to go to my happy place - Disneyland! It's been way too long since our last visit. I can already taste the Mickey-shaped pretzels, churros, and Dole Whip floats. I'm definitely riding Space Mountain and Splash Mountain as many times as my parents will let me. Fingers crossed they'll finally let me get my ears pierced at the Bippity Boppity Boutique too!The best part about going to Disneyland though is getting to meet and hug all of the characters. I can't wait to get pics with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and my favorites of all - the Princesses! I'm working on perfecting my princess waving skills. Who knows, maybe Cinderella will even let me try on her glass slipper for a photo op!After a long day in the parks, I'll be able to recharge with a night watching the incredible fireworks, parade, and World of Color shows. The shows are my favorite because I love themesongs and being dazzled with bright lights and special effects. They always get me feeling so emotionally charged upand smiley by the end. I'll be singing "Let It Go" and "A Whole New World" for weeks after we leave!Spending quality time with my family somewhere fun and exciting is really what I live for. As amazing as all of those adventures will be though, I know the summer will fly by way too fast. Before I know it, I'll be back to my normal routine of school, homework, activities, and hardly any free time. That's why I need to soak up every minute of fun this summer while I can! Staying up late, sleeping in, going on adventures, and making a million new happy memories is what it's all about. This is definitely going to be a summer to remember!篇3My Summer AdventureThe summer before 7th grade was definitely one to remember! My family and I went on an epic adventure that took us across the country. We started our journey in our little town and headed west towards the Rocky Mountains. The drive seemed to take forever, but it was so exciting watching the scenery change from the flat plains to the rolling hills and then finally the towering, snow-capped mountain peaks. When we arrived in Colorado, we set up camp in a lovely forestnear a babbling brook. Camping in the wilderness was such an adventure - we had to pitch our own tents, cook over an open fire, and be on the lookout for wandering wildlife like deer, elk, and even bears! One morning, we went on a long hike up into the mountains. The trail was tough and seemed to go straight up at times. My legs were screaming by the time we reached the top, but the views were just breathtaking. You could see for miles and miles, with mountains stretching out in every direction. We had a picnic lunch at the summit while taking in the amazing scenery. I felt like I was on top of the world up there! After a few days of camping, fishing, and exploring in Colorado, we packed up and continued our road trip west towards Utah. This part of the drive was my favorite, with the most incredible red rock formations and canyons. It looked like an alien planet! We visited several national parks like Arches and Canyonlands, doing short hikes to see the iconic arches, hoodoos, and other crazy rock shapes. My absolute favorite part though was our stay in Moab, the adventure capital. From there, we went white water rafting down the Colorado River! The rapids were crazy intense and we got absolutely drenched, but it was such an adrenaline rush. We alsowent on a hot air balloon ride at sunrise, floating peacefully above the desert landscapes as the sun's first rays hit the red rocks. It was magical. From Utah, we drove through the desert of Nevada before finally arriving in California. In Los Angeles, we went to the beaches in Malibu, did the tourist thing with the Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theater, and even took a studio tour. Hollywood was cool to see, but definitely not my favorite part of the trip. I much preferred being outdoors in nature. Our very last stop was San Francisco. From the crazy hilly roads to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, it was an awesome city to explore on foot. We walked across the bridge, visited the seals resting on the pier, and did the obligatory ride on the cable cars. The best part though was getting a fresh sourdough bread bowl of clam chowder for lunch by the bay. The salty sea air, warm sun, and delicious food - perfection! After nearly a month on the road, we finally made it back home, thoroughly worn out but filled with so many incredible memories. Writing this essay, I can vividly picture every stop, every hike, and every moment of amazement along the way. It was the summer adventure of a lifetime and an experience I'll never forget. The distance we traveled, the places we saw, theactivities we did - it all opened my eyes to what an endlessly amazing world we live in. This trip has me counting down the days until our next big adventure!篇4My Life as a Seventh GraderBeing in seventh grade is a really exciting time in my life! So much has changed since I was in elementary school. I'd like to tell you all about my experiences as a seventh grader this year. The first big change was going to a much bigger school with way more students than my old elementary school. On the first day, I was pretty nervous about finding my way around and getting lost. The building seemed so huge and maze-like with all the long hallways and rooms. Luckily, the teachers were really nice and helped me and the other new students figure out where everything was. They even gave us maps of the school to carry around until we got used to it.Another big adjustment was switching classes for different subjects instead of staying in the same room all day. At first, I thought it would be super stressful having to pack up and move to a new room every period. But it's actually kind of fun getting to experience different teachers' personalities and classroomsetups. My favorite classes are English and History because the teachers make the subjects really interesting through fun projects and discussions.Speaking of classes, the workload in 7th grade is also a lot more intense than elementary school. We have way more homework assignments, tests, projects, and essays to work on. Sometimes it feels overwhelming trying to balance it all on top of extracurricular activities and just being a kid. I've had to develop much better time management and study skills this year. My parents have been great about helping me set up an organized system for keeping track of deadlines and not procrastinating. As long as I plan ahead, it's all manageable.Along with more academic responsibilities, 7th grade has brought more independence and freedoms. At my school, 7th graders get a little more privileges than the younger kids, like being allowed to walk around campus unescorted during free periods. We also get to go on really cool field trips that tie into what we're learning, like visiting historical sites and museums. My personal favorite was the three-day camping trip with the science club where we got to explore nature and learn about ecosystems firsthand.Socially, the move to 7th grade has been an adjustment too.I no longer have the same close-knit friend group I've had since kindergarten. A lot of my friends went to other middle schools, so I've had to make new friends and work at maintaining my old friendships through texting and social media. It was daunting at first to walk into a new school not knowing many people. But I've been lucky to find a great new group of friends who make me laugh and have similar interests. We really bonded over joining the same clubs and sports teams. One of the best things about 7th grade has been getting to join the school's athletic teams and clubs. There are so many more opportunities than elementary school. This year I did cross country in the fall, basketball over the winter, and just started playing tennis this spring which I'm really enjoying. I've also joined the art club, math club, and student council which keeps me super busy but in an exciting way. Being involved in all these activities is great for exploring interests, meeting new people, and having fun.Overall, this year of 7th grade has been equal parts exciting, overwhelming, challenging, and rewarding. I've grown so much as a student and a person. I've become better at time management, self-advocacy, and putting myself out there. I'veforged new friendships and learned to cherish my old ones more. I've explored interests through clubs and sports in a way I never could before. I've become more independent and self-aware.While there have definitely been stressful moments of feeling overwhelmed and awkward periods of dealing with social dynamics, I've found that reaching out to my parents, teachers and good friends for support makes a huge difference. I can't wait to finish off this year strong and see what 8th grade has in store. Looking back, I've come a really long way already just in 7th grade alone. Bring on the next adventures and growing experiences!篇5My Summer AdventureThe last day of school before summer vacation was finally here! I could hardly sit still during my classes, anxiously waiting for that final bell to ring. As soon as it did, I raced out of the building towards freedom for the next few months. No more teachers, no more homework, no more waking up early. Just endless days of fun and adventure stretching out before me.This summer was going to be extra special because my family was taking a big trip. We were going camping for twowhole weeks in the beautiful mountains! I had been looking forward to this trip for ages. Getting away from the city and experiencing nature was going to be incredible. I loved hiking, swimming in lakes, roasting marshmallows over a campfire, and sleeping out under the stars. This vacation was my dream come true. The first few days passed in a blur of packing,double-checking we had all the right gear, and my Mom's endless lists of things to remember. Finally, the morning arrived when we loaded up the car and headed off. The drive seemed to take forever, but I didn't mind. I spent most of the time gazing out the window in amazement as the buildings and houses gradually gave way to forests and hills in the distance. When we finally arrived at the campsite, I could hardly contain my excitement. I helped my dad set up the tent, gathered firewood with my little brother, and explored the trails around our campsite. Everything was so green and alive! Wildflowers dotted the meadows, birds sang in the trees, and a nearby stream bubbled and splashed over rocks. That first night, we made a campfire, roasted hot dogs, and I spent hours happily stargazing before drifting off to sleep in my cozy sleeping bag.Over the next couple weeks, we went on some amazing hikes. We climbed to the tops of mountains with incredible views stretching out for miles in every direction. We swam incrystal-clear glacier lakes that made your skin tingle from the cold. We saw herds of elk grazing peacefully in the valleys and even spotted a couple of bears from a safe distance! Every day was filled with adventures and moments of beauty I'll never forget.Camping was a lot of work too though. We had to carefully ration our food and water since we couldn't just run to the store. Cleaning dishes took some getting used to as well, having to heat up water on the campfire and wash everything with biodegradable soap. Using the campground bathrooms with cold water and no showers made me appreciate the comforts of home! But it was all worth it for the chance to experience nature so vividly. One of my favorite memories was going fishing with my dad at a nearby lake. We hiked for almost an hour to get there, carrying our gear and snacks. When we arrived, the surface of the water was like glass, perfectly still and reflecting the surrounding mountains. We quietly set up on the shore and spent a peaceful couple of hours waiting for the fish to bite. Every little plop andripple had us hoping this would be the one. And when I finally felt a firm tug on my line and reeled in a beautiful rainbow trout, my face broke into the biggest smile. We revelled in our catch, took a bunch of photos, and released it back into the water after admiring it for a while. As the days passed, I found myself becoming more and more attuned to the rhythms of nature. I could identify different bird calls, recognize animal tracks, and sense changes in the weather through the winds and clouds. Being outdoors for an extended period made me feel more grounded, centered, and appreciative of the natural world in a way I'd never experienced before. It was a magical couple of weeks that went by too quickly. Finally, the morning came when we had to pack up and head back to civilization. As we drove away, I kept twisting around to look back at those beautiful peaks and valleys growing smaller in the distance. I was firmly convinced that this had been the best summer of my life so far. We had promised ourselves to come back again next year, and I couldn't wait.Back at home, I spent a lot of time going through the photos and videos, re-living all those incredible memories. I also eagerly shared stories with my friends about all the adventures we had. Some of them thought the camping life sounded kind of hard and gross. But I tried to explain how amazing it was to get away from all the noise and distractions, simpler but more real and grounding. That experience had changed me somehow, giving me greater appreciation for the natural world and fortifying my spirit of exploration. Now, summer has ended and school has begun again. But I find my mind often drifting back to those peaceful mountain days. The stresses of classes, homework, and having to wake up early don't seem nearly as bad anymore. Not when I carry篇6My Life as a Middle SchoolerHi there! My name is Emma and I'm in the 7th grade. Today I'm going to tell you all about my life as a middle school student. It's a pretty wild ride, let me tell you!First off, getting up for school is definitely the hardest part of my day. My alarm goes off at 6:30am and it feels like the cruelest sound in the world. I hit snooze about five times before finally dragging myself out of my cozy bed. Then it's a mad rush to get dressed, brush my teeth, and gather all my books and homework into my backpack. I'm always running late it seems! The bus ride to school is pretty boring. I just listen to music on my headphones and try to wake up a bit. The real fun starts when I get to my homeroom class and see all my friends. We love catching up and gossiping about everything that's going on. Who's dating who, what drama happened over the weekend, who failed the big math test. You know, all the important middle school stuff! Then the classes begin. Ugh, I definitely don't love sitting through lectures all day. My favorite classes are probably art, where I can get creative, and P.E. where we can run around and be active. The academic classes like math, science, and English are hard for me to stay focused in. I zones out a lot and start doodling or daydreaming. Whoops!Lunchtime is definitely the highlight of the school day. I meet up with my squad in the cafeteria and we eat and gossip some more. The food isn't amazing, but it beats having to pack a lunch. After eating, we usually go outside if it's nice and hang out on the fields or basketball courts. We joke around, listen to music, and just act silly in general.Once lunch is over, it's a few more class periods before finally being FREE! The end of the school day is both a relief and a sad feeling. I'll miss seeing all my friends, but I'm so ready toget out of there. The bus ride home is a lot more lively than the morning one. Everyone is pumped and talking about their day, making plans for afterwards, or complaining about homework.Once I get home, I try to squeeze in some down time before starting on my mountain of homework. I'll watch some Netflix, play games on my phone, or scroll endlessly through social media. I know I should work first then relax, but it's hard! Eventually I'll start chipping away at my assignments for a few hours. After homework, it's dinner time with my family. We'll all sit together and talk about our days, which is nice. Then it's back to more relaxing or hanging out with friends if I'm allowed. Sometimes we'll go to the mall, a movie, or just wander around outside. Having freedom in the evenings is one of the best parts of being in middle school. As you can see, my daily life is a bit of a whirlwind! Between the academic stresses of school and just general dealing with growing up, there's a lot on my plate. But I'm making the most of this time with my friends and trying to enjoy being young and relatively care-free. Who knows what high school will bring! For now, I'm just your typical 7th grader trying to survive day-to-day.It's definitely not easy, but I'm loving this crazy middle school life.。

Yet many people do not seem to know that memory (记忆) works in the same way. When someone says that he has a good memory, he really means that he keeps his memory in practice by using it. When someone else says that his memory is poor, he really means that he does not give it enough chance (机会) to become strong. If a friend says that his arms and legs are weak, we know that it is his own fault (过错). But if he tells us that he has a poor memory, many of us think that his parents may be blamed (责备), and few of us know that it is just his own fault. Have you ever foun d that some people can’t read or write but usually they have better memories? This is because they cannot read or write, they have to remember them. Since they cannot write them down in a small notebook, they have to remember days, names, songs and stories. Therefore, their memory is being exercised the whole time.So if you want to have a good memory, learn from the people: practise remembering things in a way as other people do.( )1. Zoos want people to help protect the animals' wild habitats.
