Step9.The explanation of teaching methodsIn this class, I mainly use Audio-aural Method and Communicative Language Teac hing.Visual-Audio Approach aims to help students understand the given material better by showing them interesting and nice pictures. Also it helps to arouse stud ents’interest and it is easier for students to memorize the contents.Aural-oral Me tho aims to practice students’ listening and speaking. Students often fail to expres s their opinions because of the influence of mother language. So I only speak English in the whole class to create a more real situation for students, thus they will fe el more comfortable speaking English. Communicative Language aims to encoura ge students to use and to speak out what they have learned in a natural atmosphe re. Chinese students are often shy to speak in front of class. So during all the proc ess, I play some relaxing orexciting music to help them relax or to accelerate them to brainstorm throug h teamwork. Not only does this helps students study knowledge but it also helps students to learn to cooperate with others, which is what the society needs. So th rough these three methods, I teach students how to learn happily and how to live happily. Step10. FeedbackThis lesson was generally successful. Students were very active in class. The sho rtcome was that time was not arranged well., Which made me fail to finish the tas ks. Also, I didn’t give the sample sentence pattern beside each picture, which was hard for students to make conversations。
