我最喜欢的课是信息课的英文作文My Favorite Subject is Computer ScienceHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm in the 5th grade. I really love going to school and learning new things every day. We have so many fun subjects like math, science, reading, and even gym class. But you know what my absolute favorite subject is? Computer science! I get so excited whenever it's time for our weekly computer class.I've been interested in computers and technology for as long as I can remember. When I was really little, I used to watch my dad work on his laptop with total fascination. All those colors, icons, and windows looked like magic to me. As soon as I was old enough, I started using computers and tablets myself. I just had to learn how they worked! In computer class, we get to do all sorts of awesome activities on the school laptops and desktops. Last year, we learned how to use different programs like word processors to write stories and spreadsheets to crunch numbers. We even did a project where we had to make a slideshow presentation about our favorite animals. I picked dolphins because they are just so smart and amazing. Did you know dolphins are one of the fewanimals besides humans that can recognize themselves in a mirror? Pretty cool, right? This year, we've started learning how to code and program computers. I have to admit, when I first saw all those confusing lines of text, numbers, and symbols, I thought it looked incredibly difficult. But our teacher is really great at breaking it down step-by-step. Once you understand the basic concepts, it's almost like learning a new language to communicate with machines. Instead of bossing the computer around with your mouse and keyboard, you're able to give it very precise instructions to follow. So far, we've learned how to program simple animations using coding software made especially for kids. My favorite one I've made is an animation of a bouncing beach ball. By changing the values for things like speed, gravity, angle and so on, I can make the ball bounce higher, faster, in a curve, or any way I can dream up. It's like having ultimate control over the laws of physics in this digital universe! We've also started tinkering with basic robotics using little programmable robots. They kind of look like fancy remote controlled cars. We can make them move, follow lines on the ground, detect objects, make sounds, flash their lights and morejust by coding commands. It's awesome! My best friend Jake and I had a competition to see who could program their robot to draw the coolest design just by mapping out its movements. I won by coding mine to draw the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. Sorry Jake, a robot is no match for a skilled programmer like myself! The best part about computer science is that there's always more to explore and create. My dream is to one day design amazing video games with immersive 3D worlds, intense battles, engaging stories and more. Or maybe I'll pioneer incredible new artificial intelligence systems to help solve big problems. The possibilities are endless when you can ingeniously combine code with hardware, software, and wild imagination. Some people think computer science is just boring typing and staring at screens. Those people clearly haven't experienced the thrill of bringing your digital visions to life with logic and code. To me, it's like being a maestro conducting a orchestra, except I'm crafting symphonic experiences out of ones and zeroes. It's challenging, engaging, and lets me channel my creativity in unique ways. What's not to love?Of course, I still enjoy my other classes too. Recess and gym are fun for getting physical activity. Math class comes in superhandy for many coding concepts. English helps me write better comments and documentation for my programs. But computer science will always reign supreme as my favorite subject. It unleashes the limitless potential of computational thinking and modern technology.I can't wait to see what other cool computer science concepts we're going to explore this year. We might even get to take apart an old computer and see all its inner workings. Or maybe we'll construct simple circuits and microcontrollers from components like LEDs, sensors, and chips. One thing is for sure, no matter what exciting areas we dive into, you can bet I'll be the first student with my laptop fired up and ready to learn. So that's why computer science gets top marks as my favorite subject in school. It's an amazingly creative field where you can build virtually anything you can fathom, all with strings of code. The rapid advances in technology ensure there will always be fresh challenges to tackle and opportunities to innovate. And who knows, maybe one day my computer science skills will allow me to accomplish something groundbreaking. Just don't expect me to program a roomba to do my chores - a kid can dream, but even I have my limits!。

介绍自己的英语作文可以以什么为题全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Name is Max and This is All About Me!Hi there! My name is Max and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. I was born on April 22nd, so my birthday is coming up soon. I can't wait to turn 11 and be one year closer to being a teenager!I live with my mom, dad, older sister Emma, and our dog Buddy. Buddy is a golden retriever and he's the best doggy ever. He loves to play fetch and go for walks in the park. We got him when I was 6 years old from an animal shelter. My favorite thing about Buddy is how he always gets so excited and starts wagging his tail like crazy whenever I get home from school. My sister Emma is 13 and we fight sometimes like most siblings do. But she's pretty cool overall. She plays basketball and is really good at it. Sometimes she lets me shoot hoops with her in our driveway. I'm not nearly as good as her, but it's still fun.As for my parents, my mom is a nurse at the hospital downtown. She has to work really long hours sometimes, but I know she does it because she loves helping people feel better. My dad works from home. He's a computer programmer and is always typing away at his laptop. I don't totally understand what he does, but I know it has something to do with coding and creating websites and apps. When I'm not in school, I love playing sports, especially baseball and soccer. I'm on the baseball team at school and play second base. I'm a pretty good hitter too! Soccer is my favorite sport though. I love running around and kicking the ball into the goal. I dream of becoming a professional soccer player when I grow up and playing for a huge team like Manchester United or Barcelona.I also really like video games, especially ones where you get to go on adventures and complete missions. My favorites are the Super Mario games. I'm a huge Mario fan! I have a bunch of Mario plushies and toys in my room. Whenever a new Mario game comes out, it instantly goes to the top of my wish list for birthdays or holidays.Something unique about me is that I was born in Japan, even though I don't really look Japanese. My dad's job had us livingover there for a few years when I was a baby before we moved back to the United States. I don't remember much about living in Japan, but my parents have told me stories and shown me pictures and videos from back then. It looks like such an amazing country with incredible food, history, and culture. I really want to go back and visit Japan one day!In school, my favorite subjects are gym class and art. As I mentioned, I love playing sports, so gym is always a blast. And in art, I just really enjoy drawing, painting, and creating things. I'm not the greatest artist or anything, but it's super fun and relaxing for me. My least favorite subject is math because I find it pretty boring and confusing a lot of the time. I do okay in it, but it's definitely not my strong suit.My best friend is a kid named Jake who lives next door to me. We've known each other literally since we were born because our moms became friends at the hospital when they had us around the same time. Jake and I have a million hobbies and interests in common. We both love video games, sports, telling jokes and funny stories, watching Marvel movies, you name it. Jake is basically like another brother to me.One of my biggest dreams and goals is to one day go to space and become an astronaut. I'm completely fascinated bythe planets, stars, galaxies, and everything up in the cosmos. I have a bunch of glow-in-the-dark stars and planets stuck to the ceiling of my bedroom. Whenever I struggle to fall asleep, I look up at them and imagine floating around in zero gravity and exploring new worlds. It would be so awesome to go to the Moon or Mars and do experiments and explore the surfaces. I'm going to study really hard in school so I have a shot at becoming an astronaut when I'm older.Well, I think that's enough about me for now. Getting to write all of this has made me realize just how lucky and blessed I truly am. I have an amazing family, a great group of friends, and lots of hobbies and interests that I'm passionate about. Even though growing up definitely has its challenges, I feel like I have a childhood that a lot of kids would be envious of. I try not to take anything for granted. Instead, I want to soak up every experience and adventure, keep chasing my dreams and goals, and most importantly, just enjoy being a kid while I still can. Thanks for reading all about me!篇2My Name is Claude and I'm Really Excited to Tell You About Me!Hi there! My name is Claude and I'm 8 years old. I'm in the 3rd grade at Oakdale Elementary School. I live with my mom, dad, older brother Jake, and our dog Buddy. Our house is pretty big with a nice backyard that has a swing set and a trampoline that me and Jake like to play on a lot.I really like school, except for math class which can be kind of hard sometimes. My favorite subjects are reading, science, and art. I'm a pretty good reader and I especially love books about adventures, magic, and funny stories. During free reading time, I'm usually picking a book from the "Funny Fiction" or "Fantasy" sections of our class library. In science, we get to do a lot of cool experiments and learn about how things work which is awesome. And in art, I love being creative and working with colors, paints, clay, and other supplies to make all kinds of masterpieces!Outside of school, I have a few hobbies and activities I really enjoy. One of my biggest hobbies is building with Legos. I've been obsessed with Legos since I was really little and I have massive bins full of them in my room. I love following the instruction books to build awesome spaceships, vehicles, buildings, and more. But I also like just freestyle building whatever comes to my imagination too. Sometimes my creations don't really look like anything in particular, but other times I'llbuild really cool scenes and landscapes. My parents have to make me clean up the Lego mess afterwards though!Another big hobby of mine is gaming. I'm a total gaming nut!I have a Nintendo Switch that I play all the time, and some of my favorite games are Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and any of the Pokemon games. I also play on my Dad's PS5 sometimes for games like Ratchet & Clank, Sackboy, and Astro's Playroom. I'm not really allowed to play a ton of violent games yet though. My parents are pretty strict about keeping things age-appropriate until I'm a bit older. Still, I have an absolute blast with all the awesome games I can play. I actually want to be a professional video game designer when I grow up!In addition to gaming, I also really love sports and being active. Soccer is probably my favorite sport - I play on a local recreational team every spring and fall. I'm a pretty decent little striker and I've scored quite a few goals over the seasons! When it's not soccer season, I also really enjoy basketball, swimming, riding my bike/scooter, and anything else that gets me outside and moving around. My parents are always trying to get me to put down the video games and get some exercise by playing outside!I'm a pretty social kid and I have a good group of friends that I pal around with at school and in my neighborhood. My best buds are Tyler, Emma, and Carter. At school, we'll often play together at recess - running around on the playground equipment, playing tag or hide-and-seek, or making up games with the sports balls and equipment. After school, my friends and I will frequently have sleepovers, go to each other's houses, or just hang out playing in the neighborhood. We like doing things like swimming in someone's pool in the summer, building forts, exploring the woods behind our houses, and having Nerf gun wars. I feel really lucky to have such a great crew to goof off and have fun with.My family is another huge part of my life that I cherish a lot. As I mentioned, I live with my mom, dad, and older brother Jake who's 12. Even though Jake can be a real jerk to me sometimes because he's at that annoying pre-teen age, we're still pretty close overall. We gang up on our parents a lot pulling pranks and being little mischief-makers together. And Jake looks out for me and keeps me out of trouble when I need it. We also play a ton of video games together which is awesome. Then there's my mom and dad who are just the best! They support me so much and make me feel loved. We go on reallyfun family vacations together like to Disney World a couple years ago, the beach every summer, camping trips, weekend road trips around our state, and more. My mom is so caring, patient, and an amazing cook. She makes the most delicious meals like her famous homemade mac & cheese! My dad is the biggest goofball and is always making me and Jake laugh with his terrible puns and dad jokes. He also takes time to do activities with just me sometimes like taking me fishing, to baseball games, or out for Father-Son nights. I know I can always count on both of my parents to be there for me no matter what.Lastly, how can I forget about my dog Buddy? He's a 5 year old Golden Retriever and is literally my best friend in the whole world! We've had Buddy since he was just a little puppy and I just adore him. He's so friendly, cuddly, and energetic and is always down to play fetch, go for walks/runs, or any other activity. I like to pretend he's my trusty sidekick going on adventures and doing heroic missions around the neighborhood. Sometimes I'll sneak him treats from the table when my parents aren't looking too which he loves. Having a dog like Buddy is seriously the best!Well, I think that's about it when it comes to introducing myself and giving you a little peek into my wonderful life! I'm just a fun-loving 8 year old kid who loves hanging out with familyand friends, gaming, sports, being creative and imaginative, and experiencing all the awesome things this world has to offer. Getting to share all about my life, my family, my friends, and my interests was really fun! Maybe you learned a little bit more about what it's like being an 8-year-old kid. My favorite game right now is Fortnite but I play all sorts of games like Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and Minecraft. My friends would probably describe me as funny, energetic, and someone who likes goofing around. One special thing about me is that I'm really good at cheering people up when they feel sad or down. If one of my friends at school is having a bad day, I always try to make them laugh by telling silly jokes or doing something goofy. I'm a total class clown sometimes which gets me in a little trouble, but I can't help myself - I just like seeing people smile! In the future, I'm not totally sure what I want to do when I grow up yet. Maybe I'll be a professional athlete or a video game designer. Or maybe I'll decide on something totally different - there are so many options to choose from! This helps avoid duds and make smart purchases.Staying Home - For those of us who hate dealing with crowds, long lines, and parking nightmares, online shopping means never having to leave the house! The ConsWaiting for Shipping - After placing an order, you have to play the agonizing waiting game for it to arrive. The anticipation can be brutal!Inability to Inspect Items - You can't actually see, touch, or try on items before purchasing online. This can lead to disappointing fits, colors, quality etc.Petty Costs Add Up - Little extras like shipping fees, taxes etc. can nickel-and-dime you until the total cost is much higher than expected.Security Concerns - Providing credit card and personal info over the internet always comes with some risk of that data being compromised.Addictive Overspending - It's wayyyy too easy to get carried away filling up those virtual shopping carts! Online stores are designed to maximize impulse buys.So those are some of the major pros and cons to consider with online shopping from my middle school perspective. At the end of the day, it's hard to beat the sheer ease and selection. But self-control and being a savvy consumer is key to avoiding the pitfalls. What do you guys think about it all? Let me know in the comments!篇2Online Shopping: The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread or a Total Nightmare?Hey guys, it's me again, ready to lay down some real talk about this whole online shopping craze. I know some of you are probably all about that Amazon Prime life, while others are still skeptical of the whole thing. Well, let me break it down for you from a middle schooler's point of view.First up, let's talk about the awesome parts of being able to shop without even leaving your room. Can you say ultimate level of laziness achieved? Just a few taps on your laptop or phone, and boom - that new video game, book, or cute outfit you'vebeen eyeing is on its way to your doorstep. No more suffering through endless mall trips with your nagging parents or waiting in crazy long lines at the store. But beyond the sheer convenience factor, online shopping also opens up a whole new world of options. You're not just limited to what's available at the local mall anymore. With a few searches, you can find pretty much anything your heart desires from sellers around the globe. That rare collector's item you've been hunting for? Maybe it's finally within reach online. Or perhaps you're looking for something a bit more niche that just doesn't exist in mainstream stores. The online marketplace has got you covered. And let's not forget about those sweet, sweet deals. Online retailers are constantly trying to outdo each other with discounts, promotions, and pricing wars. If you're a savvy shopper willing to do a bit of research, you can score some seriously amazing bargains that would make your parents pass out from sticker shock. Who doesn't love saving a few bucks (or a lot of bucks) here and there? But of course, like most things in life, online shopping isn't all rainbows and unicorns. There are definitely some potential downsides to be aware of too.For starters, there's always that lingering worry about getting ripped off or ending up with a crappy product that looks nothing like the pictures. While most online sellers are legit, there are certainly some shady characters out there trying to make a quick buck at your expense. You really have to be cautious, read those customer reviews thoroughly, and stick to reputable sites and sellers. Then there's the whole shipping situation to deal with. Sure, sometimes you get lucky and your order arrives lickety-split. But other times, you end up playing the waiting game for what feels like an eternity, constantly refreshing that tracking page and driving yourself (and your parents) insane. And let's not even get started on the potential for lost, damaged, or wrong items showing up - a total nightmare that can lead to major headaches trying to resolve.Speaking of headaches, what about all the environmental impacts of online shopping? With more and more packages crisscrossing the globe on a daily basis, that's a whole lot of extra emissions, waste, and carbon footprints we're contributing to. As much as I love the convenience, it does make me wonder if we're slowly killing our planet, one impulse purchase at a time. And finally, let's talk about something that might be an issue for some of you - the risks of overspending and financial mismanagement. With shopping just a click away 24/7, it's easy to get a bit carried away and go on mindless spending sprees without realizing how much damage you're doing to your allowance funds (or worse, your parents' credit cards if you can sneak a peek at those digits). Before you know it, you've blown all your cash on random stuff you didn't actually need, and now you're completely broke. So what's the final verdict? Is online shopping a modern marvel that's made our lives infinitely better or a total curse that's ruining us as a society? As usual, the answer lies somewhere in the middle. Like most things, it comes with both positive and negative sides that you'll have to weigh for yourself.Personally, I'm a fan of the convenience and options that online shopping provides. But I also try to be a smart and ethical consumer by doing my research, sticking to my budget, and making eco-friendly choices when possible. At the end of the day, online shopping is just another tool - it's up to you to decide how to wield it responsibly.Just some food for thought from me, your friendly neighborhood middle schooler who may or may not have anonline shopping addiction already at the tender age of 13. But hey, no judgments here! Happy clicking, my friends.篇3The Ups and Downs of Online ShoppingHey there! I'm here to talk to you about something that's become a huge part of our lives these days - online shopping. You've probably done it before, or at least heard about it from your friends or family. But what's the big deal, you might ask? Well, let me break it down for you, and we'll explore the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of this whole online shopping craze.First off, let's talk about the pros - the things that make online shopping so darn convenient and appealing. One of the biggest advantages, in my opinion, is the sheer variety of products you can find online. Imagine having access to millions of items from all over the world, right at your fingertips! Whether you're looking for the latest video game, a rare collectible, or a trendy piece of clothing, chances are you'll find it online. It's like having a virtual mall that never closes and has everything you could ever want.Another huge plus is the ability to compare prices across different websites and retailers. You can easily find the best dealsand discounts without having to physically visit multiple stores. This can save you a ton of money in the long run, especially if you're a savvy shopper who knows how to hunt for bargains.Speaking of convenience, let's not forget about the ability to shop from the comfort of your own home (or wherever you happen to be with an internet connection). No more battling crowds, dealing with pushy salespeople, or wasting time and money on transportation. With online shopping, you can browse, compare, and make purchases while lounging on your couch in your pajamas. It's a shopper's dream come true! But hey, let's not get too carried away just yet. Like most things in life, online shopping also has its fair share of downsides. One major concern is the lack of personal interaction and the inability to physically examine the products before purchasing them. You can't try on clothes, feel the texture of fabrics, or get a real sense of the size and quality of an item. This can lead to disappointment and the hassle of returns or exchanges.Another potential issue is the risk of online fraud and security breaches. While reputable online retailers have robust security measures in place, there's always a chance that your personal and financial information could fall into the wronghands. It's important to be cautious and only shop on trusted websites with secure payment gateways.Lastly, let's not forget about the environmental impact of online shopping. All those packages being shipped back and forth can contribute to increased carbon emissions and packaging waste. While many companies are making efforts to be more eco-friendly, the convenience of online shopping can come at a cost to the planet. So, there you have it – the pros and cons of online shopping laid out for you. It's a mixed bag, with both amazing benefits and potential drawbacks. At the end of the day, it's up to you to weigh the advantages and disadvantages and decide what works best for your shopping needs and preferences.Personally, I think online shopping is a fantastic option to have, especially in our fast-paced, digital world. But it's also important to be mindful of the potential risks and environmental impact. Maybe try to strike a balance between online andin-person shopping, and always prioritize safety and sustainability.Whether you're a die-hard online shopper or prefer the traditional brick-and-mortar experience, one thing's for sure –shopping will never be the same again. So, embrace theconvenience and variety of online shopping, but don't forget to keep those critical thinking skills sharp. Happy browsing and buying, my friends!篇4Online Shopping: The Good, The Bad, and The UglyHey there! I'm a typical middle schooler who loves being online, playing video games, and of course - shopping! Online shopping has become super popular these days, and I've gotta admit, I'm a big fan. But like everything else in life, it's got its ups and downs. Let me break it down for you.The GoodFirst off, one of the biggest perks of online shopping is convenience. I mean, who doesn't love being able to shop from the comfort of their own home, in their pajamas, without having to deal with crowds or long lines? It's a total game-changer! Plus, with just a few clicks, you can have pretty much anything you want delivered straight to your doorstep. Talk about lazy shopper's paradise!Another awesome thing about online shopping is the vast selection of products you can choose from. Brick-and-mortarstores are limited by their physical space, but online stores have virtually no boundaries. You can find pretty much anythingyou're looking for, from the latest video games and gadgets to trendy clothes and accessories. It's like having the world's biggest mall at your fingertips! And let's not forget about the amazing deals and discounts you can snag online. Many online retailers offer sales, promo codes, and other special offers that can save you a ton of money. It's like being a bargain-hunting ninja! The BadOkay, now let's talk about the not-so-great aspects of online shopping. One major downside is the inability to physically see or try on the items before you buy them. Sure, you can check out pictures and product descriptions, but it's not the same as being able to touch, feel, and try things on in person. This can lead to disappointment when the item you ordered doesn't quite match your expectations.Another potential issue is shipping and delivery delays. While most online orders arrive promptly, there's always the risk of packages getting lost, delayed, or even damaged in transit. And let's be real, waiting for your package to arrive can betorture, especially if you're really excited about what you ordered. The UglyNow, let's talk about the ugly side of online shopping: scams and fraud. Unfortunately, not all online retailers are legitimate, and some are just out to rip people off. You have to be really careful when shopping online, especially from unfamiliar or shady-looking websites. There's always the risk of getting counterfeit or low-quality products, or worse, having your personal and financial information compromised.Another ugly aspect is the environmental impact of online shopping. All those packages and shipping materials create a lot of waste and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions from transportation. It's something to keep in mind if you care about being eco-friendly.The VerdictSo, there you have it - the good, the bad, and the ugly of online shopping. Personally, I think the convenience and selection make it pretty awesome, but you've gotta be smart about it. Always shop from reputable sites, read reviews, and be cautious about sharing your personal and financial info.At the end of the day, online shopping is a cool way to get what you want without leaving your house. Just remember to be a savvy shopper, and don't let the dark side of the internet ruin the fun!篇5The Awesome and Not-So-Awesome Parts of Shopping OnlineHey there! Today I want to chat about something that I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with - online shopping. Whether it's for new clothes, video games, or pretty much anything else you can think of, buying stuff over the internet has become a huge part of our lives. But like most things, it's got its good points and bad points. Let me break it down for you!The Awesome UpsidesOkay, let's start with the positives because who doesn't love a little online retail therapy? One of the biggest draws has to be the crazy convenience factor. Rather than trekking all the way to the mall or wandering from store to store, you can browse and buy anything with just a few clicks from the comfort of your own home. No more wasting gas money or dealing with crazy traffic! Then there's the amazing selection you get online. All the brands and products from across the globe are right at your fingertips. You're not limited to just what's stocked at your local shops. This is especially great for those of us living in smaller towns without access to all the latest trends and must-have items.Speaking of items, online you can find some seriously good deals and savings. Retailers can afford to sell cheaper since they don't have the overhead costs of physical stores. Not to mention, it's way easier to compare prices and hunt for coupon codes with a quick search online. You know I love saving those dollars!Another fantastic perk is how easy it is to do research before you buy. Just read the product descriptions, specs, reviews from other customers, and more to make sure you're getting exactly what you want. No disappointing surprises or returns needed!Last but not least, online shopping keeps everything private. No more feeling judged by snooty shop assistants or worrying if your new outfit looks silly. You can take your time browsing and buy whatever you please from the comfort of your own room. Wear those dinosaur pajamas with pride, my friends! The Not-So-Awesome DownsidesAlright, you knew this was coming. As great as online shopping can be, it's not all rainbows and unicorns. There are definitely a few clouds raining on the cyber-shopping parade.First off, even with reviews and such it can still be risky buying something you can't see or touch in person first. What if it doesn't fit right or look exactly like the pictures? Then you've got to go through the whole returns hassle which is such a headache. Nothing beats trying stuff on before purchasing!Plus, while the deals can be amazing online, you've also got to look out for scams and shady websites. Some of thosetoo-good-to-be-true bargains might just be cheap knockoffs or even unsafe products from unknown sellers. Doing your research is crucial to not get ripped off. Then there's the impatience factor - waiting for your order to finally ship and arrive can feel like torture! Instant gratification is much harder when you can't just buy and walk out of a store with your goods right then and there. Though I guess it's a good lesson in patience? For those who love the whole experience of shoppingin-person, online can feel a bit cold and impersonal too. No interacting with friendly staff or that buzz of being out browsingthe mall with your friends. It's just you, alone, staring at a computer screen.Last but not least, let's talk about the environment. All that shipping and excess packaging for online orders can have a big environmental cost through emissions, waste, and more. Definitely something to consider for us eco-warriors out there. The VerdictSo what's the final ruling on this whole online shopping deal? In my humble opinion, it totally comes down to being a savvy cyber-shopper and knowing when it makes sense. For those busy weekends when you're swamped with activities and chores, the convenience of online shopping is hard to beat. Same goes for harder to find specialty items or when you've got gift-giving occasions that sneak up on you. And let's be real - sometimes you just don't want to be bothered leaving the house! But for everyday shopping, especially clothes or anything you'd want to try on first, the in-person experience has its place. It's fun being able to touch and see items while hanging with your squad. Plus, you get to avoid those worries of things not quite being as described online. At the end of the day, online shopping is an awesome tool to have in our consumer arsenals as long as we use it wisely. Be a smart shopper, do your research, and don't get carried away chasing deals at the expense of quality. When used right, it can truly be the best of both retail worlds!Well, that's my take on the whole online shopping phenomenon. Let me know if you agree or if you've got any epic mall horror stories to share. Something to think about as you click "add to cart" on those new sneakers, right? Happy shopping, cyber-shoppers!篇6The Ups and Downs of Shopping OnlineHey guys! Today I want to talk to you about something that's a huge part of my life and probably yours too – online shopping! It's so convenient to just hop on a website and order whatever you want with a few clicks. But like most things, it has its good points and bad points. Let me break it down for you.The Pros of Online ShoppingConvenience is KingThis is probably the biggest draw of online shopping in my opinion. You can shop anytime, anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection. No more waiting for stores to open or driving all the way to the mall. Just whip out your phone or laptop and you're good to go! You can even shop in your pajamas if you want to. How cool is that?Endless OptionsWhen you shop online, you have access to stores and products from all over the world. The options are basically limitless! You're not restricted to just the stores in your local area. This is especially great for finding unique or hard-to-find items.Easy Price ComparisonsIt's really easy to compare prices across different websites when you're shopping online. Different stores often have different prices for the same product, so you can quickly find the best deal with a few searches. This helps you save a lot of money. The Cons of Online ShoppingYou Can't Try Things OnThis is probably the biggest downside in my book. When you buy clothes or shoes online, you can't actually try them on to see if they fit properly or look good on you. You have to rely on sizecharts and product photos, which isn't always accurate. I've definitely ended up with stuff that didn't fit right because of this.Shipping Costs and DelaysUnless you're willing to pay extra for faster shipping, you often have to wait a while to receive your order when shopping online. And those shipping costs can really add up, eating into the savings you tried to get in the first place. It's pretty annoying having to wait so long for something you ordered.Risk of FraudUnfortunately, there are some sketchy websites and sellers out there trying to scam people. You have to be really careful about only buying from reputable sites and sellers when shopping online. Identity theft and credit card fraud are real risks if you're not cautious. So those are some of the major pros and cons of online shopping from my perspective. Personally, I do a ton of online shopping because I love the convenience and options. But I also try to be smart about things like checking return policies and only buying from trusted sites. It's all about finding the right balance. What do you guys think about online shopping? Do you prefer it to going to physical stores? I'd love to hear your opinions! Let me know in the comments below.。

七年级介绍房间的英语作文80词左右全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Room is the Best Place Ever!My room is the coolest place in the whole universe! It's where I get to hang out, play games, listen to music, and just be myself without anyone bothering me. I spend so much time in there that it's kind of like my own little kingdom where I make the rules. The first thing you notice when you walk in is all the awesome posters on the walls. I've got ones of all my favorite bands like The Llama Screamers and Punk Rock Puppy Dogs. There are also a bunch of Marvel and Star Wars characters plastered everywhere. My sheets even have Groot, Baby Yoda and BB-8 printed all over them!Right in the middle of one wall is my pride and joy - the ultimate gaming setup! I've got a massive TV hooked up to every game console you can imagine. I'm talking PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, you name it. Underneath is a futoncouch that folds out into a bed in case any of my friends want to spend the night for an all-night gaming marathon. In the corner is my desk crammed with all my schoolbooks, art supplies, and Lego sets that I'm building. It's a total mess but that's how I like it - organized chaos! I can pretty much always find what I need among the piles of stuff. My trusty laptop sits in the middle for doing homework, watching movies, or just surfing the web.But the real heart of the room is my bed. It's a captain's bed with drawers underneath to store my action figures, rocks I've collected, old trophies from sports, and other treasures. The best part is the tent attached to the side made of bedsheets that I can crawl into and read comics for hours without being bothered. My walls are plastered with drawings I've made, photos of me and my friends doing fun stuff, and a calendar to keep track of all my activities. It's my go-to spot for napping or just zoning out and daydreaming about adventures. There are toys and gadgets strewn all over the place, like remote control cars, drones, and construction sets I've taken apart and rebuilt a million times. I've also got a big hamper overflowing with clothes because I can never seem to make it all the way to the laundry room. The smell is a mix of snacks (my stash is hidden under the bed), dirty socks, and incense/candles I light to create a "vibe." The sounds are my favorite playlists blasting, the clicking of controllers, and me yelling at the TV when a game gets intense.Overall, my room is just the perfect expression of my personality. It's bright, colorful, energetic, and maybe a little bit chaotic. But I love every corner of it because it's my space to do whatever I want without anyone telling me otherwise. 室友之间的冲突在校园常有发生英语作文

室友之间的冲突在校园常有发生英语作文

室友之间的冲突在校园常有发生英语作文Roommate Troubles on CampusHave you ever had to share a room with someone else? It can be super fun having a roomie, but it can also be really hard sometimes! At my university, we have to live in the dorms and share a tiny room with another student. There are always problems that come up when you're stuck sharing such a small space with someone else. I've had my fair share of roommate drama over the years! When I was a freshman, I got paired up with this girl named Samantha. At first, Samantha seemed really nice. She was always smiling and saying hello whenever I saw her in the hallways before we moved in together. But as soon as we became roommates, things went downhill fast! The biggest issue was that Samantha was a total slob. She would leave her dirty clothes and trash all over the floor on her side of the room. I'm a pretty neat person, so this drove me absolutely crazy! Her mess would start spilling over onto my side, and I'd have to spend hours cleaning it up. I tried asking her politely to keep her area clean, but she never listened.Samantha also stayed up super late every night watching movies or video chatting with her boyfriend back home. The light from her laptop would shine right in my eyes when I was trying to sleep. I could never get enough rest because of her! I started wearing an eye mask to bed, but it was still tough falling asleep with her making so much noise so late at night.Another annoying thing was that Samantha was always borrowing my stuff without asking permission first. I'd come back to the room and items like my hairbrush, my favorite fuzzy blanket, or my snacks would be missing because she had taken them. When I confronted her about it, she acted like it was no big deal. "I figured you wouldn't mind since we're roommates!" she told me. But I very much DID mind! After a few months of having to deal with Samantha's slobby habits, her loud noise at night, and her taking my belongings, I ended up requesting a room change. I felt bad about it because besides those issues, Samantha was a pretty nice person. But I just couldn't live like that anymore. My new roommate was much better!Last year, I got paired up with a girl named Jessica. We hit it off right away and became best friends! Jessica was super considerate about keeping our room clean, being quiet at nightwhile I slept, and never taking my stuff without asking. We worked out a chore schedule to split up cleaning duties, and we agreed on designated "quiet hours" every evening so we could both study in peace. It was amazing having such an awesome roomie! The only time Jessica and I ever fought was over the temperature in the room. I like it warm and toasty, but Jessica is always cold so she likes to blast the AC, even in the winter! We went back and forth turning the thermostat up and down for weeks, driving each other nuts. One night we ended up having a huge blowout fight where I accused her of having "icicle hands" and she called me a "burning fireball." It was pretty silly looking back on it!After that, we agreed that I could use an electric blanket to stay warm, and she could bundle up in sweaters if she got chilly. Problem solved! From that point on, the only roommate issue we ever had was when one of us would occasionally eat the other's snacks from the mini-fridge. But we were pretty relaxed about sharing food, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Now I'm a junior, and my roommate this year is okay, but not nearly as awesome as Jessica was. Her name is Emily, and while she's pretty neat and quiet, she has this really bad habit ofconstantly leaving our room unlocked, even when neither of us is there. I've come back from class so many times to find our door wide open! I'm always stressing that someone is going to walk in and steal our valuables.I've talked to Emily about it over and over again, but she tells me, "I'm just so forgetful! It's not that big of a deal." Um, yes it is!I don't want any of my belongings going missing because you can't be bothered to lock the door, Emily! It's such a basic thing to remember. I really hope she gets better about it, because I don't want to have to request another room switch. So those have been my experiences with a few different roommates during college so far. As you can see, sharing a tiny space with someone else is not without its challenges! Between clashing over cleanliness, noise levels, eating each other's snacks, and thermostat wars, there's a lot that can lead to roommate drama and conflict. If I had to give advice, I'd say the most important things are to communicate openly with your roommate, compromise when you can, and don't sweat the small stuff. If you're having a major issue that can't be resolved through communicating, like I did with the super messy Samantha, then it may be best to request a room change. But most of the time, a little respect, understanding and give-and-take can go a long way! Having a good roommate can make your college experience so much better.。

三年级my room英语作文25个字全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My RoomMy room is my favorite place in the whole world! It's where I spend most of my time when I'm not at school. It's my own little kingdom where I can play, read, and just be myself without anyone bothering me.My room is pretty big with light blue walls and a soft white carpet on the floor that feels nice and fuzzy under my bare feet. I have a big window that lets in lots of sunshine during the day. My mom put up curtains with rocket ships and planets on them because she knows how much I love space and science. The best part of my room is my bed! It's a race car bed that looks just like a real red race car. The head of the bed is the front of the car with headlights. I love pretending to drive it around my room. Under the car portion is where I sleep at night, all cozy and snug. Sometimes I even make fun racecar noises when I'm lying in bed!Next to my bed, I have a big toybox overflowing with all my favorite toys – action figures, Legos, stuffed animals, cars, and more. I have a whole basket just for my Lego creations. I made a super cool dragon, a rocket ship that can fly to the moon, and I'm currently working on a huge castle! My desk is where I do my homework and color and draw pictures. It's covered with crayons, markers, pencils, and lots of paper. I have a little basketball hoop mounted on the wall above my desk where I can shoot balled up paper into the hoop when I need a study break. On my bedroom walls, I have all kinds of cool posters –planets, dinosaurs, superheroes, you name it! My dad even painted a giant T-Rex on one of the walls breathing fire. That's probably my favorite thing in my room besides my bed. I love dinosaurs!I also have a bookshelf crammed full of books – picture books, chapter books, comic books. I try to read a book every night before bed. My current favorite is the Captain Underpants series – those books always crack me up!When I have friends over, we play games on the floor or make forts and pretend castles out of blankets and pillows. We run around shooting Nerf guns and being crazy kids. Sometimeswe even have sleepovers on the floor and stay up late watching movies and eating snacks. At night when it's time for bed, I get my pajamas on, brush my teeth, and snuggle up under the covers with my stuffed animal friend. I look around my room at all my toys and books and posters, so happy that this space is all mine. I wouldn't want to change a thing!Yeah, my room is definitely the best room ever. It has everything an 8-year-old boy could ever want – toys, books, games, and endless possibilities for adventure and fun. Even when I'm much older, I'll always look back on my awesome childhood bedroom with super happy memories!篇2My RoomMy room is my favorite place in the whole wide world! It's like a little kingdom where I am the ruler. Mom and Dad say I have to keep it clean and tidy, but I like it a bit messy because that's when it feels just right – cozy and lived-in.My bed is definitely the centerpiece of my room. It's a super cool race car bed that my uncle got me for my birthday last year. The headboard is a huge red racecar and the bed fits right inside it. It even has working headlights! At night when I turn them on, it feels like I'm zooming down the track ready to win the big race. My bedspread has a checkered flag pattern, and I have tons of little matchbox cars parked all over it. Sometimes I have epic race car battles right there on my bed before going to sleep.Next to my bed is my nightstand. On top there's a lamp in the shape of Lightning McQueen from the Cars movies. I love those movies! The lamp makes my room feel like the racetrack at night. My mom puts a glass of water there for me too, in case I get thirsty during the night. In the drawer I keep all my secret treasures – rocks I find on the playground, bouncy balls, Pokemon cards, and other awesome stuff.Above my bed hangs the coolest thing ever – a gigantic poster of my favorite baseball team, the Rockies! I'm a huge baseball fan. My dad takes me to games sometimes and we always have so much fun cheering together. I dream of being a baseball superstar when I grow up. I would hit home runs all day long! Having that poster right there makes me feel like I'm at the baseball stadium every night when I go to bed.In the corner is my trusty wooden desk where I do my homework. It's pretty cluttered with pencils, crayons, notebooks, and books. I have a hard time keeping it really neat because I'm always working on about a million things at once. Above the desk I have a corkboard where I pin up my best drawings, photos, awards from school, and other things I'm proud of. It makes me happy to see all my accomplishments up there. My closet takes up one whole wall of my bedroom. I don't actually keep many clothes in there because I prefer leaving my favorite shirts and pants all over the floor! Instead I use the closet to store all my toys and games. I've got shelves full of action figures, Lego sets, board games, balls, and more toys than you could ever imagine. Having a closet totally devoted to fun stuff is the best! Whenever I'm bored I can just grab an armful of toys and go wild. The other walls of my bedroom are pretty bare except for a few superhero posters. Superman, Spider-Man, and The Hulk are some of my heroes! I look up to them because they're strong, brave, and they always fight for justice. Plus their superpowers are just awesome. I dream of having super-strength or the ability to climb walls. A boy can dream, right? My favorite thing about my room is the big window with a cozy window seat. I can curl up there and read my beloved comic books or dream about adventures for hours on end. It's also theperfect spot for jumpiing off and soaring across the room pretending to be a Marvel superhero. I've crashed into my toys plenty of times that way, but no worries – everything's tough as nails in my room. On sunny days the sunlight streams in and warms me up. It feels like I'm in a magical kingdom in the clouds.Sometimes I have friends over and we play in my room for hours. We construct amazing Lego cities, have Nerf gun wars, and make pretend-movies on my old laptop. Having a buddy's birthday party sleepover in my room is an absolute blast! We stay up late watching movies, telling spooky stories, and pigging out on snacks and soda. Then we dive into my bouncy castle of pillows and blankets and pass out from exhaustion. Those are some of my happiest memories. At night when I'm getting ready for bed, I do a final check around my room. I scoop up abandoned toy cars, action figures, stray socks, and other clutter and toss it all into a pile. Then I dive beneath my soft covers and survey my cozy kingdom. Seeing all my favorite篇3My RoomMy room is my favorite place in the whole world! It's where I sleep, play, and keep all my treasures. Let me tell you all about it.First, when you walk in my room, you'll see my bed. It's a really cool race car bed that my parents got me for my last birthday. The headboard is shaped like a racecar and it even has working headlights! The rest of the bed frame looks like the racecar too with big wheels on the sides. My bed has a red racecar comforter set with checkered flag patterns. Sitting on my bed are all my stuffed animal friends like Teddy, Mr. Snuggles the bear, and Roary the lion. They keep me company at night.Next to my bed is my nightstand with a rad lava lamp on it. The lava lamp is so mesmerizing to watch as the blob of colored goo moves up and down. My mom lets me keep it on for a little while before bedtime. There's also a digital alarm clock that glows in the dark so I can easily see what time it is if I wake up at night.Across from my bed is my dresser where I keep all my clothes and toys stored in the drawers. On top of the dresser, I have a boom box that I use to play my favorite music. Right now, I'm really into that new boy band The Kittens. Their songs are so catchy! Sitting next to the boom box are a bunch of smalltrophies I've won from sports like soccer, baseball, and swimming. I love playing all kinds of sports and games. In the corner is my toy box overflowing with action figures, Lego sets, Hot Wheels cars, and pretty much every toy you can imagine. My parents are always telling me to clean up my toys, but I just have so many! Next to the toy box is my art easel where I can paint or draw masterpieces. I've gotten pretty good at drawing superheroes and dinosaurs lately.Another cool part of my room is the window seat with a nice view of our backyard. It's a perfect little nook for reading books or just daydreaming and watching the clouds go by. I've put some soft blankets and pillows on the window seat to make it extra cozy. Taped to the wall above the window are dozens of my drawings and art projects from school. But the most awesome part of my room is the tent I have set up in the middle of the floor! Mom and Dad let me camp out in my room sometimes. The tent is big enough for me and a couple friends to hang out in. We tell scary stories, play games, and eat snacks in there. I've got glow-in-the-dark stars stuck on the ceiling of the tent too which makes it feel like we're sleeping under the real night sky. There are so many other cool things in my room like my giant wall poster of my favorite superhero, the shelves filled with books, and the beanbag chairs for lounging around. It's just such a fun, imaginative space that feels like my own little world.I spend pretty much all my time in my room when I'm not at school. I play pretend games where I'm a brave adventurer exploring jungles and discovering lost treasures. Other times, I'll build amazing Lego cities and towns. Or I'll read comic books and chapter books while cuddled up with my stuffed animals. No matter what I'm doing, it's always an adventure in my room!At night, my room feels like a cozy cave or hideout to me. The glow of the lava lamp and string lights wrapped around my bed frame gives it such a calm vibe. I'll snuggle under the covers with Teddy and Mr. Snuggles and listen to quiet music as I drift off to sleep. My room is just the comfiest, happiest place.Even though I'm going to grow up someday, I hope my room can always feel just as magical and fun. A kid's room is such a special space full of imagination, creativity, and joy. Those are some of my favorite things about being a kid! For now, I'm just going to keep enjoying every second of playtime, story time, and dream time in my wonderful room.篇4My RoomMy room is the best place in the whole world! It's where I sleep, play, read books, and have lots of fun. I spend so much time in my room that it feels like my own little kingdom. Let me tell you all about the amazing things in my room.First, you have to see my bed. It's a race car bed that looks just like Lightning McQueen from the Cars movies! The front end sticks out and has working headlights. The bed frame is bright red and has the Rust-eze logo on the side. My sheets even have pictures of Lightning McQueen racing. Sleeping in this bed makes me feel like I'm zooming around the racetrack at the Piston Cup every night. It's so cool!Next to my bed, I have a big wooden desk where I do my homework and color pictures. The desktop has lots of scratches and marks from all the art projects I've made over the years. My favorite thing on the desk is my rainbow cup filled with colorful markers, crayons, and colored pencils. I love drawing pictures of animals, superheroes, and my family. Sometimes I make a mess with my art supplies, but my mom doesn't get too upset. She says she's happy I'm being creative. In the corner of my room is my awesome toy box. It's overflowing with so many awesome toys! I have action figures of Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther and all the other Avengers. They are always having epic battles against the bad guys on my bedroom floor. I also have a huge bucket of Lego bricks that I use to build awesome spaceships, castles, and robots. My favorite stuffed animal is a big fluffy dog named Rufus who sleeps on my bed with me every night. No room is complete without books, and I have a big bookshelf crammed with some of the best stories ever! I love the Harry Potter series about the young wizard who goes to Hogwarts. Those books are filled with magic, daring adventures, and funny talking paintings and ghosts. I've also read all the Dog Man books over and over again. The hilarious tales of the crime-biting canine cop always make me laugh out loud. My bookshelf is also home to tons of cool non-fiction books about space, dinosaurs, and sharks. Some of my other most prized possessions in my room are my video game systems. I have a Nintendo Switch that I use to play Super Mario games and battle my way through crazy fantasy worlds. I also have an Xbox that connects to my TV so I can play games on the big screen. Some of my favorite Xboxgames are the Lego games where you get to play as superheroes and build awesome Lego structures. My gaming chair is so comfy and has speakers to make the sound effects extra loud and realistic. The walls of my room are covered with awesome posters and decorations. I have a huge mural of Spiderman swinging through the New York City skyline. Surrounding Spidey are posters of the Avengers, Pokémon characters, and professional sports teams like the Lakers and Dodgers. Some of my best pieces of art that I've made at school are framed and hanging up too. My room expresses my personality through and through! My room also has its own little outdoor space - a small balcony! From my balcony, I have an awesome view of the park across the street. I love sitting outside on a sunny day reading comics and watching kids play on the swings and slides. My balcony has a small table and chairs, so sometimes my mom brings me a snack to enjoy in the fresh air. At night, I open the balcony door to let in the cool breeze before I go to bed. There are so many other little details that make my room awesome - the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling, the beanbag chairs for lounging, the big flat screen TV for watching movies, and more! To me, my room isn't just a room - it's like another world filled with adventure, excitement, and joy around every corner. I feel so lucky and grateful to have such an amazing personal space to call my own. My room is truly the best!篇5My RoomMy room is my favorite place in the whole wide world! It's where I sleep, play, read books, and just have fun being me. Let me tell you all about the awesome things in my room.First, there's my bed. It's a race car bed! The headboard looks like the front of a red race car. It even has working headlights that I can turn on at night so I can read my books easier. The coolest part is that the bed frame itself is shaped like a race car too, with a spoiler and everything. My sheets have race cars printed all over them. Driving race cars is my biggest dream when I grow up, so having a race car bed is the next best thing right now!Next to my bed is my nightstand. On it, I keep a lamp shaped like Lightning McQueen from the Cars movies. The eyes light upwhen you turn it on. I also keep my alarm clock there - it's blue and shaped like Guido, the little forklift from Cars. Every morning, Guido wakes me up with his funny Italian voice saying "Get up, get up!" I hate waking up early for school, but hearing Guido always makes me laugh. My favorite thing in my room is probably my toy box. It's really big and has a cute picture of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and all the other Toy Story characters painted on the front. Inside, I have a million toys it seems like! I've got action figures, Legos, stuffed animals, Hot Wheels cars, you name it. Sometimes I take everything out and it looks like a crazy explosion of toys everywhere. My mom is always telling me to clean it up, but she just doesn't understand how hard it is to put away that many awesome toys.On my walls, I have posters of all my favorite superheroes - Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, you know the classics.I also have a giant bookshelf packed with books. I love reading so much. My favorites are the Harry Potter books, The Magic Treehouse series, and pretty much any book about dragons, knights, or anything magical like that. Books are like gateways to other worlds to me.In one corner, I have a mini basketball hoop mounted to the wall. I'm a huge LeBron James fan, so the hoop lets me practice my jump shots and work on my handles whenever I want. I have a whole hamper full of basketballs of different sizes. I'm definitely going to be in the NBA one day. You'll see!Since I love art too, I have an easel and a big closet full of art supplies like paints, markers, colored pencils, construction paper, and more. Pretty much every square inch of my walls is covered with drawings and paintings I've made over the years. My parents are so proud of my art, even if some of it is a little...abstract to put it nicely. What else is in my room? Oh yeah, I have a big fish tank too! Right now I have two clownfish named Marlin and Nemo (duh), a blue tang named Dory, and bunch of other saltwater fish too. Taking care of them and cleaning the tank is a big responsibility, but I love my fishy friends.Let's see, what else? I have a big wooden chest that I keep all my favorite toys and treasures in. You never know when you'll need to stash something away for safekeeping, right? I have an awesome lava lamp on my dresser that is mesmerizing to watch at night. I have a giant stuffed teddy bear that my grandma gaveme when I was a baby. It's almost as big as I am! Seriously, my room is overflowing with so much fun stuff.Oh, and I can't forget about my best friend Rufus! He's my puppy and he sleeps in a doggy bed right next to mine every night. Rufus is the best dog a kid could ask for.Whenever I'm in my room, I feel happy, safe, and totally myself. My room is like my own little universe where I can use my imagination and be anything I want - a superhero, a wizard, a race car driver, you name it. But in my opinion, my room is the GREATEST room ever. It has everything I need to learn, dream, play and just be a kid. From my bed to my toys to my books and art supplies, every inch of my room is packed with awesomeness. Yeah, my room gets a little messy sometimes (ok, most of the time)...but that's just because there's so much篇6My RoomMy room is my favorite place in the whole wide world! It's my own special space where I can play, read, dream, and just be myself. Let me tell you all about the wonderful things in my room.First, you have to see my bed. It's a race car bed! The frame looks just like a red race car. It even has wheels and everything. The headboard is the front of the car with headlights. My bed is so cool. When I'm tucked under the covers, I feel like I'm zooming around a race track at mega fast speeds. Vroom vroom!I have race car sheets and pillows too to match. Sometimes I pretend I'm a famous race car driver winning all the big races.Next to my awesome bed is my bedside table. On it, I have a lamp that looks like Optimus Prime from the Transformers. It's so rad! I can turn him on with a switch on his back. Optimus Prime's eyes light up and he stands guard next to me while I sleep, protecting me from the monsters under the bed. I also have a cup full of coins and other treasures I've collected on my bedside table. I found most of the coins outside, but some were given tome for good grades or my allowance. One of the coins is very old from long ago!My dresser has a super cool design too. It's painted with a blazing fire pattern. Bright oranges, reds, and yellows cover it like flames. On top of the dresser, I have a fishbowl with two goldfish named Sunny and Bubbles. They're lots of fun to watch swimming around. I also have some of my favorite toys and a piggy bank in the shape of Pikachu up there. He's almost full from me saving up my money. The best part of my room is the tent I have set up in the corner. It's a big green tent meant for camping outdoors, but I pitched it in my room to use as my own personal clubhouse or fort. I have string lights hung up inside along with some of my stuffed animals and action figures. Sometimes I read comics in there or just chill out and daydream. No boys or parents allowed in the tent! I made a "No Boys Aloud" sign to hang on the front.Another awesome part of my room is my closet full of costumes and dress up clothes. I have superhero outfits, princess dresses, ninja gear, and more. My favorites are the knight costume with a sword and shield and the astronaut suit. I spend lots of time in the closet wearing different get-ups andpretending to go on imaginary adventures. To the moon and back!We can't forget about my window with the really neat view either. From my window, I can see the huge oak tree in our backyard. Squirrels are always running and jumping around on the branches. Sometimes birds will make nests in the tree too. I love watching their little bird families grow up and eventually fly away. I can also see the mountains off in the distance from my window. The view is breathtaking, especially at sunset when the sky is filled with brilliant oranges, pinks, and purples. My walls are decorated with all sorts of cool posters and drawings too. I have glow-in-the-dark star stickers covering the ceiling so it looks like the night sky. And I have shelves showcasing trophies, ribbons, and other awards I've won from school and sports. My favorite is the first place trophy I got for the pie eating contest at the county fair last summer. That was such a messy but fun day!As you can probably tell, my room is the ultimate kid's paradise. It has everything I could ever want or need for adventures, relaxation, and fun. From my awesome race car bed to my indoor camping tent, it's a truly magical place. Whenever I'm feeling bored, scared, or just need to escape reality for a littlewhile, I go to my room. It's my own private getaway and safe space. Sure, I have to share the rest of the house with my parents and annoying little brother. But my room is mine and mine alone. Nobody can ruin it for me because in my room, I make the rules. It's pure awesomeness!。

Laptop Wars: The TCO Strikes BackThe total cost of ownership (TCO) for laptops is generally higher than that of a comparable desktop PC. Most companies implement criteria for assigning laptops to ensure a return on investment that justifies the higher TCO. However, most organizations do not re-evaluate laptop assignment as technology and knowledge worker trends evolve and the business changes. This can result in the unnecessary assignment of laptops to some employees.Increasing pressure on IT to reduce costs and adopt more frugal spending practices has reignited the great laptop versus desktop debate in many companies. Rather than falling into a laptop versus desktop debate trap, Info-Tech recommends positioning the reassessment of laptop deployments as an exercise to match the appropriate technologies with knowledge worker trends, focusing on cost savings opportunities that may result.Laptops Are Not EvilIT must recognize that laptops can satisfy valid business needs and the increased TCO for a laptop may be justified by ROI calculations based on increased productivity and faster organizational response times. Common opportunities to benefit from deployment of laptops include:Ability to telecommute. Laptops allow for offsite productivity from employees' homes, remote locations, and business trip sites.Ability to extend the work day. Laptops allow employees to extend their workday beyond the physical workplace to include off-hours access from home.Increased mobility and geographic reach. Laptops allow companies to cut travel time and costs incurred by in-field employees who frequently have to come back to headquarters to update or retrieve data.Better collaboration capabilities. The portability of laptops not only makes collaboration between offsite and onsite employees much easier, but also among onsite coworkers during meetings, when each user requires their own computer. However, laptops are not without limitations, which contribute to a higher TCO than comparable desktops. These include:Security vulnerabilities. Laptops present companies with higher security risks than desktops since they store just as many confidential files, but are easier to steal or lose.Lower reliability and higher repair frequency. Laptops typically experience shorter lifespans compared to desktops due to increased wear and tear from their portability. This results in higher costs because of increases in repair frequency and new purchases. Additional costs also arise from having to replace the laptop batteries every two years or so.Difficulty of upgrading and repairing. Since laptop components are condensed and configured into one unit, upgrading and repairing is more difficult and thus more costly. Recalling laptops deployed outside the workplace also adds costs in terms of additional downtime while the laptop is being returned for repair and potentially shipping costs as well.Accessories. Laptops are often issued with cushioned carrying bags, a mouse and secure locking mechanisms.New Workplace Trends, Changing Laptop RolesThe opportunity to reassess laptop deployment is directly tied to several evolutions in collaboration, communication and mobility. Among these are:Access to e-mail. Laptops are commonly assigned to employees who demonstrate a need to send and receive company e-mails from home. Webmail (e. g. Outlook Web Access) has emerged as an efficient and low-cost method for enabling employees to access company e-mail from home.Access to applications. Many laptops are approved for employees to be able to occasionally work with office productivity software (e. g. MS Office) and front-office and back-office applications (e. g. ERP, CRM) from home. Virtual desktop technology is rapidly emerging as a lower cost, more secure alternative to laptop deployment for occasionally remote users. Mobile thin client devices are also emerging to specifically support virtual desktops for mobile users. For more information, refer to the ITA Premium research brief, “An Update on Mobile Thin Clients.”Improved smartphones. Employees who have access to company e-mail on smartphones usually prefer to use this platform rather than boot up a laptop. Access to collaboration systems, such as instant messaging, as well as ERP and CRM systems from smartphones is becoming more common and more functional.Carrots, Not SticksIT is likely to have much more success in recalling underutilized laptops by acknowledging what types of access to information employees need to perform their jobs and by supporting the minimum number of tools required, without redundancyand overlap of technologies. Reducing overlapping infrastructure, deployed to access information and applications, will result in an overall reduction in TCO for the entire IT infrastructure, not just for traditional personal computers.RecommendationsAdopt a zero-tolerance policy for having both a laptop and a desktop. Employees who qualify for a laptop should not be allowed to keep their desktop machine. The only exceptions are situations in which the desktop machine is a special workstation which performs functions the laptop may not perform, such as Unix workstations or high-end CAD workstations. Even in these situations, the specialized workstations may be able to be shared among multiple employees, instead of being exclusively assigned to one employee.Assess the e-mail access methods the organization supports. If the organization supports webmail clients, desktop e-mail clients and smartphone e-mail clients, there are bound to be redundancies. Look for opportunities to replace laptops used solely for e-mail access with webmail and mobile phones.Review laptop assignments to employees who need to access enterprise applications from home. Most knowledge workers have their own home computers and broadband Internet access. Virtual desktop implementations are more scalable and less expensive for this type of remote access scenario. The organization may be able to reduce the number of Virtual Private Network (VPN) licenses required as well, as a result of virtual desktop implementation.Continually re-evaluate employee roles. Even employees who were originally assigned laptops for valid reasons, such as members of a field sales force, do change roles and no longer need a laptop. Ensure such laptops are assigned to the role, not the employee.Bottom LineCost containment initiatives and budget cuts are forcing companies to re-evaluate criteria for assigning laptops to employees. Follow these recommendations to identify and recall unnecessary laptops.。
