用法:主句和从句的谓语动词随人称时态发生变化。

例句:If it doesn’t rain tomorrow, we’ll go for a picnic.虚拟条件句:用来描述说话人认为与事实相反的内容,或仅是一种假设,愿望,猜测,建议等。

用法:主句和从句的谓语动词要根据所描述的情况发生变化。

例句:If I got rich,I would travel around the world.如果我有钱了,我将周游世界。

1. What would you do if you had one million dollars? 假如你有一百万美元,你会怎么办?(1.)if you had one million dollars是一个虚拟语气的非真实条件句,表示与现在事实不同或者相反的假设,条件句中的be的过去式一般用were。

if引导的条件句用过去时,主句用would/should/could+动词原形。

例如:If I had time, I would go there with you. 如果我有时间的话,我会和你一起去那里。

本句是if引导的与现在事实相反的一种虚拟的条件句,be动词在过去时中用were,后面的主句用would+动词原形。

2 What if everyone else brings a present? 如果别人都带了礼物怎么办?(1.)what if的意思是“如果——怎么办?”,相当于what should+主语+do+if引导的条件句?这是一个固定搭配的句型,引导带条件句的疑问句。

例如:What if I don’t know the way to your home? 如果我不知道去你家的路怎么办?(2.)else的意思是“其他的、别的”,相当于other。

else经常用在不定代词和特殊疑问词的后面。

在一般疑问句中用不定代词anything,修饰不定代词的else放在不定代词的后面。

3. He doesn’t know what to wear. 他不知道穿什么。

(1.)what to wear是特殊疑问词和动词不定式构成短语作宾语,相当于what引导的宾语从句。

He doesn’t know what he should wear.(2.)其他的特殊疑问词也可以和动词不定式连用,构成动词不定式短语在句子中作不同的成分。

例如:How to go there is still an unknown question. 怎么去那里还是一个未知的问题。

本句子是考查特殊疑问词和动词不定式连用作宾语的用法。

what to do 的后面不用it。

4. He doesn’t know if he should bring a small present. 他不知道是否应该带一个小礼物。

本句子if引导的是宾语从句,在动词ask,see,know和wonder的后面用if引导宾语从句表示“是否”的意思。

例如:Let me see if your answer is right. 让我看一看你的答案是否正确。

should是情态动词,它的意思是“应该”。

should用于第一人称疑问句表示比较委婉地征求意见。

表示与现在事实相反的一种假设或者判断。
