"刚健有为 " 思想源于孔子,到战国期间的《周易大传》已见成熟。

《周易大传》提出来的“刚健有为”思想包含“发奋图强”和“厚德载物”两个方面。

《象传》说:“天行健,君子以发奋图强。

”天体运转,永无已时,故称为“健”。

君子法天,故应“发奋图强”。

“发奋图强”也就是努力向上,绝不断止。

《周易大传》所说的“刚健”,还有“独立不惧”、“立不易方”之义,也就是孟子所说的“荣华不可以淫,贫贱不可以移”的独立人品。

《象传》又说:“地势坤,君子以厚德载物。

”“坤”即顺,“载物”就是包含很多物类。

君子应效法大地的胸襟,包含各个方面的人,容纳不一样的建议,使他人和万物都得以各遂其生。

《周易大传》认为,健是阳气的本性,顺是阴气的本性,在两者之中,阳健是居于主导地位的。
