学校名英文拼写规则：学校名字前面的用拼音，后面的小学、高中等使用英语。
在写学校名字时，有英语的一定要使用英语，没有英语的使用汉语拼音即可。
一般学校名字汉语拼音、地方名称用汉语拼音。
如：
1、Xi'an Xin xi Primary School：西安市新西小学。
其中
Xi'anXinxi为西安市新西的拼音（首字母大写），Pri mary School 为小学的意思。

英语翻译技巧：
第一、省略翻译法
这与最开始提到的增译法相反，就是要求你把不符合汉语，或者英语的表达的方式、思维的习惯或者语言的习惯的部分删去，以免使所翻译出的句子沉杂累赘。
第二、合并法
合并翻译法就是把多个短句子或者简单句合并到一起，形成一个复合句或者说复杂句，多出现在汉译英的题目里出现，比如最后会翻译成定语从句、状语从句、宾语从句等等。

“职业学校”英译名称商榷作者：孟祥德来源：《课程教育研究》2018年第51期【摘要】英汉对vocation和“职业”、“天职”、“神职”的认知有着很大的差别，而中国的职业学校校名动辄译为vocational school，体现了交际双方不平等的文化身份和文化地位，并且容易引起错位的宗教意义的联想。
而career school 更符合汉语的文化语境。
【关键词】职业职业学校语言的意义文化身份【中图分类号】H315.9 【文献标识码】A 【文章编号】2095-3089（2018）51-0002-02目前，国内在翻译职业院校的校名时呈现出一边倒的趋势：但凡译出“职业”者，绝大多数译为Vocational School ，Vocational University 或Vocational College（以下统称为vocational school）。
其实，在汉语的语境中，“职业”与英语的vocation所具有的认知意义和联想意义相去甚远，职业院校译成vocational school体现了跨文化交际双方不平等的身份和地位。
因此，从这个意义上来说，该译名乃有其名，无其实。
杨伯峻先生认为“有其名，无其实，就是名不正”。
（2006：134）所以，职业学校的校名译为vocational school就是名不正。
鉴于当今中国职业教育蓬勃发展，对外交流日益广泛，尽快厘清职业学校的英译名称有利于跨文化交际的平等对话。
一、认知意义观照下的vocation与职业Vocation一词源于拉丁语vocare，意思是to call。
维基百科的解释为：vocation 乃是一个人特别喜欢或者特别适合做的工作，尽管今天常用于非宗教的语境中，但其意义源于基督教。
在十六世纪之前，尤其在拉丁文圣经中，该词最早指代上帝对个体的召唤，或者人类对自身救赎的呼唤。
更为确切地说是呼唤人们从事教士、神父、牧师等神职，并且这一意义在今天的罗马天主教中仍然使用。

我们了解一所大学,往往是从知道它的名称开始。
一个好的校名不仅能迅速提高学校知名度,体现学校的理念,并且能形成一种品牌。
因此,正如严复说所说:“一名之立,旬月踟蹰。
”大学的命名历来都被认真看待。
随着经济全球化和教育国际化的发展,中国高校跟外界交流的机会越来越多,校名英译作为一所高校的“名片”,向世界展示着自身的形象,其意义和作用的重要性也是毋庸置疑的。
1校名翻译的现状通过网络查询,笔者发现在湖南省高校校名英译中还存在一些混乱现象,可能会导致高校在对外交流中产生不必要的误会和尴尬,影响学校与外界的交流与合作。
