What Is Real Beauty?Written by Xieyangzi Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. As I start my speech, I have a question for you. How many of you really enjoy the beauty of the speech today? Well some of you probably think that a beautiful contestant can be more attractive. Her charming face, her long and thin figure, her beautiful voice…. Yes, they are the shining points which will hold our attention. But, how about other factors? Today I feel like to share my opinion of real beauty with you. What is real beauty? I suppose that everything else pales in comparison with love, including the gorgeous appearance. Some of you may be confused; love is so abstract, invisible and even doubtful. How could I be sure that love is real beauty?Well, some beautiful things which are visible, such as pretty faces, fashionable clothes, magnificent buildings, can be weakened, changed, even ruined by time. But kindness, friendliness, loyalty, which are based on love, serve as the glory of human nature. They remind us this beautiful world is full of love. Love is a dancing butterfly, bringing us colorful days, Love is a spring wind, warming heart with emotion, Love is a brilliant sunshine，illuminating our future with unselfish light, Let’s enjoy the real beauty of love!In the aftermath of the WenChuan earthquake, for example, A great mother saved her baby by using her own body to against the dilapidation,A text massage left with the baby in her arms, "My baby, if you can survive, remember that I love you", which drove every readers into tears. Such love was, if anything, the real beauty of human nature that not only excited every Chinese but shook the world as well.There was also a swell of unlimited love within the Chinese people for the victims. In no time, such love streamed with ever-greater energy into every corner of China, thus leaving the victims with more courage in the combat against the catastrophe.If we can reconcile our action with our gratitude, the returns from that will be in greater measure. If we exercise kindness in our social contact, we will reap more of smile from society. If we exert true concern for those around, we are sure to harvest more help from them. Good morning, everybody! Today the topic of my spcoch is -What Is Real Beauty".
Il is human nature that all of us should he fond of beauty. Everybody was born with a heart for beauty. Some people spare no money on beautiful clothes, fashionable hair styles, the decoration of their houses and even the improvement of their looks, liut it seems to inc. all these are more or less confined to the beauty in appcaranee. or rather- the outward beauty.
In my opinion, we shouldn't only pay attention to beautiful appearance and neglect the beautifieation of the mind. What we are after should be the pcrfect unity of the outward beauty and the inner beauty. Although the outward beauty really matters* the inner beauty is far more important. This was confirmed by a famous writer in words much like this. "A person is not lovely for being beautiful but beautiful for being lovely."
Here are typical examples to help you find out what real beauty is. Presently everyone is deeply touched by the Sichuan Earthquake. Almost everyone contributes money - food, clothing, etc. to disaster areas. Any person or matter that goes against the Earthquake Relief operation was considered unpardonable. However* a girl spoke rudely about the disaster merely because
she couldn't play computer games on the "National Mourning Day"!
At the same time. Ni Ping donated one million yuan to the disaster areas at a party to collect donations. Although the girl who wanted to play computer games is younger and more beautiful in appearance, no one would think she is more attractive than Ni Ping. She was criticized by the whole country while Ni was named as the most beautiful woman that evening. What a sharp contrast!
So. to answer the question "What is real beauty?". I declare definitely, it is the beauty lying in one's heart of hearts and embodied in his actions and deeds, that is. the inner beauty! Thanks!。
