托尼首先详细描述了自己的家乡——剑桥的地理位置、人口以及著名的剑桥大学,接着又将剑桥与英国首都伦敦进行了对比,介绍了伦敦的风景名胜。

最后,托尼对整个英格兰的美景进行了概述,并指出了到英国旅游的注意事项。

本单元的主要语言项目是形容词的规则比较级形式及其构成。

本单元的任务要求学生对家乡的两个场所进行比较和汇报,需要学生捕捉一些细节信息,让学生有机会综合运用本模块所学的语言知识,并提升其对家乡和祖国的热爱之情。

【学情分析】初二上学期的学生经过一年多的学习,有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力,正逐渐向读、写过渡,同时,学生们对英语学习还保持着较浓厚的兴趣。

经过一年的新课程理念的熏陶及实践,有了初步的自主、合作、探究、实验的能力。

但本课谈论的剑桥与伦敦对部分学生来说可能并不熟悉,因而需要老师给出一定的背景知识作为铺垫。
