自互联网诞生之日算起，我们先后经历了早期的show、cool，到in、out 乃至近期的ungelivable、hold住。
舶来品由来已久的的精华与糟粕并存的特点在互联网也有所体现。
窃以为，纵观英语发展的泱泱进程，网络词汇毕竟资历尚浅、鱼龙混
杂，可使用性需在实践中逐渐检验、筛选、淘汰抑或发展、完善、推广。
在教学中，教师应该以正确的指引，新生事物，可以了解可以熟悉，谨慎使用，无论是口语还是书面语。
语言的使用也有规避风险的问题，切不可横生枝节，引起不必要的麻烦和误解。
英语作为19世纪以来位列第一的“通用语言”，在文化的全球化进程中的作用，是不可替代的。
而互联网作为近几十年来对世界产生颠覆性影响的媒介，其强劲势头更是空前。
正因如此，英语教育者“传道、授业、解惑”的责任亦较之曾经，更为深远了。
兼容并蓄，是英语和互联网的共性，若能将二者有机结合，在最大程度上为教学所用，必将使双剑合璧、锐不可当。
