原句是个颇具有警策意味的句子，译句采用了排偶结构，排偶结构同文言语素结合在一起，警策意味就出来了。

译文：他想远走高飞，免得心烦。
赏析：”sought...distance”引申为“想远走高飞”，将”distraction”抽出来，正说反译，这样一处理，译文便自然、流畅了。
