【语法讲解】Unit 7 L 1 The Spirit of Explorers关系副词和介词＋关系代词的定语从句一、关系副词引导定语从句英语中的定语从句除了用that, which, who, whom, whose等关系代词引导外，when, where, why等关系副词也可以定语从句，它们一方面代表主句中的某个名词或代词，另一方面还在从句中作状语，表示从句中动词所表示动作或状态的地点、时间、原因等。
1．when在定语从句中用来指时间，其先行词都是表示时间的名词，when在从句中作时间状语。
例如：I cannot tell you the time when he will come. 我无法告诉你他来的时间。
2．where在定语从句中用来指地点，其先行词都是表示地点的名词，where在从句中作地点状语。
例如：We then moved to Paris, where we lived for six years. 我们后来搬到巴黎，在那里住了六年。
3．why在定语从句中用来指原因，其先行词是表示原因的名词，通常为reason, why在从句中作原因状语。
