部分展馆如比利时馆的钻石、丹麦馆的自行车、西班牙馆的藤条和意大利馆的玻璃砖有望捐赠给慈善基金会，通过义拍和义卖的形式帮助困难群体。
“慈善”我们知道是charity，那么“义卖”是什么呢？我们可以用sale of work来表示：Sale of work：a fundraising event with raffles, cake sales, bingo etc; usually run by churches and schools所以，sale of work指的是那种学生们拿home-made的小蛋糕之类的东西去卖，赚得的钱用于慈善活动。
大型的义卖活动，我们称之为charity bazaar：A bazaar is a permanent merchandising area, marketplace, or street of shops. bazaar是指集市，这个词最早由波斯语而来。

”文中的Expo-related stocks就是指“世博概念股”，也称为"Expo-concept" sector stocks。
类似的表达方法还有Olympics-related stocks（奥运概念股）。
所谓的concept stocks（概念股）是与业绩股相对而言的。
业绩股需要有良好的业绩支撑，概念股则是依靠某一种题材来支撑价格，例如资产重组等等。
例如海外看好中国市场的发展，就将所有在海外上市的中国股票称为China concept stocks（中国概念股）。
下面给大家介绍一些简单的分类说法。
业绩股票：performance shares，公司用普通股作为长期激励性报酬支付给经营者，股权的转移由经营者是否达到了事先规定的业绩指标来决定。
垃圾股：junk bond，指业绩差、没有投资价值的公司发行的股票。
蓝筹股：blue chips，指行业内占有重要支配地位、业绩优良、成交活跃的大公司的股票。

这里的“观光电瓶车”用英语怎么说呢？电瓶车，或者称电动车，英文名是electric vehicle，和传统的fossil fuel-powered vehicle不同，是由electric motor来驱动的。
图片上的这个世博园观光电瓶车，和平时我们自己使用的电瓶车又有些不一样，我们来看世博网的报导：Some 20 golf cart-like vehicles start transporting visitors today at the Urban Best Practices Area in the Puxi section of the Expo site.二十多辆观光电瓶车开始在浦西世博园的城市最佳实践区运送游客。
上面报导中使用的是golfcart-like vehicle，是根据观光电瓶车的外型，因为长得确实和高尔夫车，golf cart蛮像的。
“采血车”，今天我们就来学习一下，是blood-collecting vehicle说到“暴走”，这个词的含义在流传过程中已经发生了不少演变。
最初在日本诞生时，这个词表示机体失控而导致的狂暴行为，我们现在将这个词引申表示“抓狂”，英语中有一个同样形象的词组：go ballistic，可以用来表述“暴走”。
Ballistic missile就是新闻中常说的“弹道导弹”。
不过，说到“暴走”的字面意思，还有两重含义，一是指源于日本的“暴走族”，Bosozoku，就是喜欢改装汽车和摩托车，然后在大街上飙车，玩street-racing的年轻人团体，英语中可以称之为violent running tribe，或者lightning tribe；另外在极限运动中同样有“暴走”，类似于long-distance walking，或者hiking之类，徒步旅行者或者使用越野车等交通工具去野外探险的人，都可称之为这种“暴走族”。
回到我们上面说的，世博园“暴走”，这里只是用了一种夸张说法，所以在翻译此处的“暴走”一词时，我们可以用trudge一词，意为“长途跋涉”，例如：We trudged all day on Expo Site.也可以用“tramp”：I tramped through the wood.那么，“凑热闹”这个词在英语中是怎么表达的呢？有一个词组：come along for the ride，它的意思是：to join in an activity without playing an important part in it，这就是中文中“凑热闹”的意思啦。
来看一个例句：My boyfriend loves this rock band, he has booked two tickets for the concert tonight, but I just came along for the ride.我男朋友很喜欢这个摇滚乐队，他老早就订好了演唱会的门票，不过，我只是来凑个热闹。
中文中有句俗语：外行看热闹，内行看门道。
可以用来形容世博园中的诸多游客，有的走马观花，有的品位精髓。
“外行”在英语中是layman，那么“门道”在英语中又是怎么表述的呢？英语中同样有个词组：know the ropes，表示“懂行” 的意思，同理，to learn the ropes 就可以表示刚入职的新人学习行规等知识，所以这句“外行看热闹，内行看门道”就可以表述成：The professional know the ropes，while the laymen just come along for the ride。
有机会去逛世博的同学，千万不要去go along for the ride哦，世博有很多精彩的地方是要你们慢慢欣赏的。

话说回来，“攻略”这个词是怎么来的呢？相信大家一开始知道这个词都是通过玩游戏，因为会有很多专门指导新手的游戏攻略。
通俗的说法其实就是“指导”，guide，像世博会的交通攻略就可以说成commuting guide。
话说，有卖票的地方就有黄牛。
本次世博会，黄牛不倒票了，倒的是时下最热门的世博护照，Expo passport。
世博护照因为可以去各个国家馆敲纪念章，收藏价值很大，所以导致游客们纷纷抢购，敲纪念章，commemorativestamp或者pavillion stamp也成了游览展馆的一项重要活动。
黄牛卖的当然不是空白的世博护照啦，而是stamped Expo passport，已经敲过纪念章的护照。
有些卖的是真品，genuine passport，有些则被认出是伪造的，counterfeit。
那么，“黄牛”这个词英文中是怎么说的呢？当然不是ox或者bull啦，而是scalper，这个词从“头皮”scalp而来，最初scalping表示的是一种剥头皮的野蛮风俗，而在交易中，这个词则表示一种fraudulent form of market manipulation，恶意操纵市场买卖的手段，所以相应的，“黄牛”或者进行非法交易的人就被称为scalper。
“雾凇”的英语是rime：a coating of ice。
即一层覆盖在物体表面的冰。
“配音”这个词在英语中是dub：This film is dubbed into English. 这部电影是英语配音的。
dub这个词除了表示“配音”，还有“起绰号”的意思：My friends dubbed me "plumpy". 我的朋友叫我“胖妞”。
除了“配音”，还有一个概念“画外音”，也就是“旁白”，这个在英语中是voice-over：He has been doing voice-over for years. 他做了好几年的电影旁白工作。
16日，世博意大利馆展出了一份珍贵的手稿，也就是《中庸》的全球首个拉丁文译本，由被世人誉为“孔子的第一名欧洲译者”的耶稣会教士殷铎泽翻译。
拉丁文的我们就不谈，说说英语中“中庸”的表达吧。
《中庸》的英译本名称是The Doctrine Of The Golden Mean：The Master [Confucius] said, The virtue embodied in the doctrine of the Mean is of the highest order. But it has long been rare among people.子曰：中庸其至矣乎！民鲜能久矣！不过，为什么要用Golden Mean来翻译“中庸”呢？其实这个概念在西方哲学中也有出现：In philosophy, especially that of Aristotle, the golden mean is the desirable middle between two extremes, one of excess and the other of deficiency. For example courage, a virtue, if taken to excess would manifest as recklessness and if deficient as cowardice.亚里士多德的哲学观中就有“中庸”这个说法，指的是两个极端之间的平衡状态。
例如勇气，过头就是鲁莽，不足就成懦弱，居中则正好。
所以，这就是Golden Mean的由来。
至于意大利馆展出的拉丁文译本，在拉丁语中，“golden mean”的说法是aureamediocritas，从英语可以反过来推测拉丁文的意思哦，因为英语中的aura意为“光环”，而mediocre意为“中等的、平庸的、普通的”。
