本课围绕John and his classmates 去郊游的话题，把有关交游中所做事情的日常用语、词汇和语言机构有机的结合起来。

二、说教法、学法。
1．注重学生口语表达能力的训练。
课前的daily work是我培养学生口语表达能力的一个方式。
这个我们已经做了近一个学期了。
就是在课前给学生2、3分钟的时间来提一些问，组织同学一起来说某一类的单词，最后是让同学一起唱歌或说chant，平时上课，学生的这个daily work就代替了我的课前热身。
效果很不错，特别是在我自己的班上，我除了在每节英语课上做，还坚持在每天的晨会课做，现在班中大部分的学生都有了很大的进步，这对提高整个班的英语水平也起到了很好的促进作用。
2．注重听力练习。
在重视对学生口语表达能力训练的同时，我还十分注重听力练习。
在整堂课的设计上，我充分考虑到了这一点。
如：在让学生猜John在干什么之后，不是直接地告诉学生，而是让学生通过听录音来得知答案。
在后面教学教学They are in the woods. 时采用了同样的方式。
在对话的整体教学时，首先出示了一段填空形式的对话，让学生先听课文录音，再填空也是为了更好培养学生的听力能力。
