The bar chart below shows the number of students who chose different majors in a university in 2020.The bar chart is like a little cityscape of students' major choices. There are five different majors shown on it.First up, we've got the Computer Science major. Looking at the bar for it, it's like a tall skyscraper compared to some of the others. There are around 300 students who chose this major. It seems that in this day and age, a lot of students are attracted to the world of coding and all the hightech stuff that comes with computer science. It's like the shiny new toythat everyone wants to play with. Then there's the Business major. This bar is also quite high, but notas high as Computer Science. There are about 250 students here. I guess business is always a popular choice because, well, who doesn't want to make money and be a big shot in the corporate world? It's like the safe bet fora lot of students who are thinking about their future wallets.Next is the English major. The bar for this is a bit shorter, with around 150 students. English is a classic choice, but maybe it's not as glamorous as the others these days. It used to be the king of the majors, but now it seems a bit overshadowed. Still, there are those who love literature, language, and want to be the next Shakespeare or at least a great English teacher. The Art major has a relatively low bar, with only about 100 students.Art is like the wild card. It's for those creative souls who don't care about the practicality as much as expressing themselves. It's a bit of a niche choice in this university it seems, but those 100 students areprobably having a great time painting, sculpting, and making all kinds of cool art. Finally, there's the History major. This bar is the shortest of them all, with just 80 students. History is like the old grandpa of the majors. It's full of interesting stories from the past, but it doesn't seem to be the first choice for many students nowadays. Maybe they think it's not as useful for getting a job right away.Overall, it's clear that Computer Science and Business are the hotshots when it comes to major choices in this university in 2020, while History and Art are more of the underdogs.。

Moreover , it offers predictions for a period to 2040. During the three score years , the USA generally outweighed Sweden in terms of the proportion of those aged 65 and over . But the gaps between have never been remarkable . In stark contrast , Sweden strikingly eclipsed Japan in this aspect evidenced by the fact that in 1940 the proportion for the USA was about 9%, clearly higher than 5% for Japan .Whereas Japan experienced declines from 5% to 3% , both Sweden and the USA climbed .

In some countries young people are encouraged to work or travelfor a year between finishing high school and starting university studies. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this.

Well, you know, there's this trend in some countries where young folks are given a nudge to take a year off between high school and university to either work or travel. It's like a little break from the academic treadmill, and it has its own set of good and not so good things.

For starters, when a young person goes off to work for a year, it'slike a crash course in the real world. They get to see what it's reallylike to earn a living, not just get pocket money from their parents. They might start off thinking that getting a coffee every morning is no big deal, but when they're the ones paying for it with their hard earned cash, they'll think twice. It's a real eye opener and makes them more responsible.Traveling is also super cool. Imagine going to different countries, tasting new foods, and meeting all kinds of people. It broadens their horizons like crazy. They learn about different cultures, and this can make them more open minded. For example, a young person from a small town in the US who travels to India might come back with a whole new perspective on family, religion, and community.2.

The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The graph shows the increase in the ageing population in Japan, Sweden and the USA.It indicates that the percentage of elderly people in all three countries in expected to increase to almost 25% of the respective populations by the year 2040.In 1940 the proportion of people aged 65 or more stood at only 5% in Japan, approximately 7% in Sweden and 9% in the US.However, while the figures for the Western countries grew to about 15% in around 1990, the figure for Japan dipped to only 2.5% for much of this period, before rising to almost 5% again at the present time.In spite of some fluctuation in the expected percentages, the proportion of older people will probably continue to increase in the next two decades in the three countries.A more dramatic rise is predicted between 2030 and 2040 in Japan, by which time it is thought that the proportion of elderly people will be similar in the three countries.大作文题目:equal male and female in every subject? Nowhere in the world has the issue of female rights and interests been so much debated as in our society.Nowadays, plenty of universities limit the number of female students who study in some of subjects;therefore, many people thinkuniversities should accept equal numbers of men and female study in every subject, but others have a negative attitude. As far as I am concerned, I think men and women should gain equal educational opportunities, but accepting equal numbers of male and female, in every subject, is unnecessary and impossible. Therefore, I disagree with the view that universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. My argument in support of my view is as follows. The main reason is that mode of thinking is different between female and male.Everyone, male and female, has equal right to study in universities, nevertheless, due to difference of in thought and views.Men and Women may represent varied study capability.A case in point is that men may possess more talent than women in mathematics, physics and like stuff. In the study of language, on the other hand, female shows stronger ability than male.In the history of human beings, most scientists, especially those who research abstract theories, are male.Another reason is that nature decides different directions of development between men and women.Today, although female’s right is being increased, female still plays a different social role.Women are by nature good at house keeping since the biological function of a woman is first to bring children into the world and then to bring them up and it has been proved by some scientists that women are not good at business management, political administeration, etc.So, in the study of business and management, requiring equal numbers of male and female is not essential. From what has been discussed above, we may draw the conclusion that accepting equal numbers of male and female students in every subject is impossible and I also disagree with this point of view第二篇:剑桥11小作文test1C11Test1The charts compare the proportion of water consumption for different purposes in six areas in the world. It is clear that four areas--South America, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia--rely on most water for agricultural use, at 71%, 84%,88% and 81% respectively. The percentage of industrial use is 5% more than domestic use in South East Asia while there is an opposite trend in the other three areas.Interestingly, Central Asia has the largest proportion of agricultural use among the four areas but the smallest consumption of industrial use.In contrast, water used in industry makes up the(half)largest parts in both pies for North America and Europe(48% and 53%).39% water is used for agriculture in North America and its counterpart in Europe is 7% less. Both areas have a similar percentage of domestic water use, which occupies 13% and 15% respectively.Overall, water is mainly used for agriculture in South America, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia while in the other two areas, industry is the principal water consumer. What is worth mentioning is that, there is a more balanced water consumption in these two areas. Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subjects. To what extent do you agree or disagree? With the discrimination of women in every aspect decreasing, that whether the equal amounts of male and female students should be accepted by universities in all subjects has become a hot topic concerned by many people. There is no need to concede this phenomenon, however.Firstly, facing the examinations of entering the colleges, everybody has equal right to participate in the exam in which the universities can select excellent studentsbasing on the consequence. For instance, if 100 people of which 80 are all boys occupying the heading positions are assigned for one subject, it can not be denied that the university should admit all the 80 boys without any hesitation. The reason that abilities of people rather than the gender should be considered firstly is obvious.Secondly, as we all know, the proportion of women can reach less than 50 percent of all the population in almost every country throughout the world, which means that the probability of a man to be accepted by a college will definitely be smaller than a woman’s on condition that universities accept equal numbers of male and female students in all subjects. So that the number of male and female accepted by universities could be distributed by the gender percentage seems more reasonable. As far as I am concerned, the opportunity for each person to enter the college should be fair, no matter what gender universities select students in accordance with the proportion of gender.(254词)he or she is.And also maybe it is more feasible that第四篇:剑桥雅思8剑桥8 Test1-Task2Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society.Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this.Discuss both views and give your own opinion.Currently, an interdisciplinary study of children’s education and psychology is on how to cultivate teens to be good members of society.Personally, parents cannot take this responsibility alone but schools also contribute significantly. From my own perspective, the definition towards being a good member of society lies in two major aspects, namely perception on positive fundamental values as well as contribution to social development.Invariably, I believe it true and reasonable thatleaning core social values, like how to grow up to be a person, or even a good member of society always begins at home and is commonly accepted as the responsibility of parents.Given the fact that cognitive ability of children is far more immature before they reaching the puberty age, parents are accordingly obliged to guide them how to perceive the world at a very beginning phase, such as how to distinguish right from wrong, how to show personal respects and how to foster social conscience. Therefore, what is being taught by parents certainly lays a solid foundation for their later development as young adults. On the other hand, the learning process is continuing especially after they leave home for school where they access to knowledge and gain experience.T o better exemplify, teachers and students from backgrounds of various kinds broaden children’s horizons and enrich their knowledge, which they may not acquire at home.In addition, activities, such as conducting scientific experiments with group members, make it possible that they learn collaboration in group, communication with peers, and contribution to the whole experiment.Hence, it is reasonable to assert that school, as an indispensable element, equips them with professional knowledge and effective communication competence. In conclusion, learning how to be a valuable member does not stop when people leave school. It will take lifetime for them to define the true meaning of good members of society.Besides parents and schools, society as a larger context also is on duty to assist them in every way.

In your letter: Explain the reasons for the noise Apologise Describe what action you will take 剑桥雅思小作文范文Dear James,I was very shocked to get your letter saying that the noise from my flat has been spoiling your evenings and causing you some distress. I am really, really sorry about that. I had no idea that you would be able to hear so much, so I hope you will accept my apologies. As you may have guessed, I am trying to refit my kitchen in the evenings when I get home from work. Unfortunately it is all taking longer than expected and I have been having problems with getting things to fit properly. This has meant a lot of banging and hammering. As the kitchen is still not finished, I have decided to call in a professional builder who will finish the work in the next day or two. He will work only during daytime hours, so you won’t be disturbed in the evenings again, I promise.Sorry to have caused these problems.Bill. Discuss the difference between fast food and traditional food, such as nutrition, and recipe?Living in a fast-paced society, the modern eaters are not longer interested in the contents of their food, but focused on whether a convenient meal is available at hand to devour. Statistics indicate that even housewives spend much shorter time at kitchen than their predecessors. This writing will compare and contrast advantages and disadvantages of fast food and traditional food.Traditional food has its unshakable position in the human culture both in the social and historical context. Historically, chefs have gone to all lengths to experiment on novelties, invent cooking skills to gratify guests' hunger. Hence, traditional food has secured its incomparable value with a complex of tantalising features, including the variance, flavour, and taste. Its unique charms can nurturesocial relations as well. A family is accustomed to prepare a traditional feast to serve their guests at weekend or on holiday, such as Christmas.Further, traditional food is favourably nutritious and balanced, compared with fast food. Dieticians have suggested audience through millions of televised courses that traditional food can retain more nutrition before being served on the table, for in general, they are cooked with a temperate heat. By contrast, the fast food are made at such a high temperature that nutrition has inescapably vaporised during the cooking process. Meanwhile, cooks pay more attention to the balance of recipe when preparing traditional food, such as combing meat with vegetable.Despite a range of advantages, traditional food is overshadowed by its fast competitor in terms of time. Traditional food can consume a considerable amount of time from choosing materials, to arranging your table for visual appeal. In contrast, fast food cannot be faster when making a five-minute trip to a store around the corner, or even dialling to a fast food company. Needless to say recently, a string of fast food companies have tried their hardest to enrich the menu. To summarise, traditional food has an irreplaceable role in our life, backed with various merits. However, its prevalence isdeclining for people are more and more time conscious. There are many good reasons to cycle. Cycling is the mostefficient means of getting around London. Many journeys we make are shorter than two miles or less and these are usually faster on a cycle than travelling by car, bus, tube, train or taxi.。

雅思小作文批改(剑5test1)In Japan, its population proportion started in the year of 1940 at a tendency of going from 5% to approximate 3% in 1960, followed by a stable trend before restarting to the original level in year 2000.In view of Sweden and USA, which both countries demonstrate a constantly increasing movement of the population, started itself from 7% and 9% to 16% and 14% respectively during the same period as Japan. It is worth mention that the expected proportions in three countries, especially Japan are blessed with a noticeable rising of population, which raised sharply to 27% over the last two decades. As to the other countries, Sweden and USA have all experienced a moderate increase in population by hitting to 25% and 24% each, although Sweden suffered from a little turbulence in years from 2000 to 2020.

比如,在剑桥最新的剑桥5当中,剑桥给出了4套Academic 类作文题范文,其中有两篇是作为“ an example of a very good answer 来给出的。
