《神探夏洛克》主要讲述了在21世纪繁华热闹的伦敦大都市中，时尚的大侦探夏洛克福尔摩斯和他的得力助手华生经受的一系列危险的、不同寻常的历险。
《神探夏洛克》虽然没有那么多花哨的剪辑，但在观看的时候，思维却从来不敢停滞，每一次听完夏洛克的推理，都会把这个聪明、倨傲、不可一世却又很寂寞的天才侦探所折服。
《神探夏洛克》虽然是翻拍的JB版的福尔摩斯，但这次的故事却完全不同，神探活跃的地方依旧是伦敦，但时间已经从19世纪来到了21世纪。
从题材上讲，福尔摩斯这个名字是个万年不掉价的金字招牌，以夏洛克福尔摩斯为主角的电视、电影作品就像《哈利波特》、《星球大战》和《暮色》一样，是极其粉丝向的，粉丝的支持，就是成功的一半。
熟悉原著的观众从第一季就能看出鲜明的小说印记，但编剧似乎还嫌不过瘾，索性在第二季变本加厉，将原著的案件直接植入21世纪的时空，单是创意本身就足以叫人惊绝，更别提那份穿越时空却严丝合缝的对应感了，叫福迷和非福迷集体欢呼雀跃。
电视剧和电影都不约而同选择卖腐来吸引眼球，但仍是电视剧做得高明。
电影虽然腐的惊天动地，但无论生离死别、裸体相对还是牵手起舞，都停留在让观众想象的阶段，编导有意愿拿腐做一大噱头，但战战兢兢不敢点破，生怕一旦遭到责难之后，可以理直气壮地反诘“我们哪里说他们是玻璃了！”。
相较之下电视剧着实勇气非凡，这里的腐是得到了剧中角色“认同”的，艾琳直截了当的质疑，旅馆老板关于双人床的台词，以及圣诞夜华生被女友甩的爆笑对白“你是个很棒的男友……福尔摩斯是个很幸运的男人”，丝毫不介意将腐的一面赤裸裸的曝光出来，带来的趣味远比电影强烈。
当然，对于笔者这样的非腐人士来说，不论是电影还是剧集的大张旗鼓都有点消受不起，但一定要选择的话，还是对电视剧的“荧屏上下都腐成一片”好感多些，人家两口子都懒得辩解了，我们也就省了心去琢磨真假了，专心看破案就好。
