怎样做一名合格的初中英语教师转瞬间，我充实初中英语教学十多年，纵观这十几年的英语教学，我发现英语教学中存在许多问题。
从教师的角度来说，教师在备课方面只注重备教材内容，很少备教法和学法。
课堂语言运用方面，教师大多实用英汉结合或多半汉语授课，课堂活动采用传统教学方法—“满堂灌”，学生被动学习，积极性不高，课堂缺乏生机。
在教研方面，很少开展教研活动，只是留于形式，教研论文屈指可数，因为大多数教师认为“教得好，考得好，就是好老师。
”所以教研水平低下。
在复习资料方面，不是教师根据实际编写的而是从市场上买来的。
在考试评价方面，就题讲题，核对答案，忽略对学生能力的培养。
从学生角度来看，这里农村的学生相对城市孩子来说，见识少，知识面窄，消息相对闭塞，思想相对落后，很多学生意识不到学英语的重要性，对英语学习不感兴趣，经常问：“中国人为什么要学英语？”“学英语有什么好处？”等。
由于这种思想的存在，很多学生不喜欢学英语，把学英语当成负担。
面对这些问题和新课改的实施与深入，作为一名英语教师，我一直在深思：“怎样才能成为一名合格的英语教师？”使目前英语教学现状有所改观，更好的适应现代社会对英语教师的要求。

学生如果对那个教师有好感，他们便对那个教师的课感兴趣，并分外重视，肯下大力气，花大功夫学习这门课。
因而成绩卓著，这种现象大概就叫：“爱屋及乌”吧。
用家长的话说是“教师一句话顶家长十句话”以上这些普通又平凡的例子告诉我们：学生是教师的一面镜子它反映着教师的言行、举止、仪表。

英语教师如果想要取得良好的教学效果，要具备英语教学法方面的知识和胜任英语教学的能力。
另外，教师必须非常熟悉英语教学的原则和方法，重要的是，我们必须把它们灵活、有效地运用于实际，注意加强和进行艺术性教育。
语言是组织，指挥，间接的工具，也是开发智力，感情情绪，影响个人发展的手段。
英语的语言艺术在于如何发掘出英语语言美的特点和内涵，并把它用于教学实践，努力为学生创造出一种美的语言环境，带来美的享受，从而产生一种新奇，有趣的感觉，进而在欣赏中感受英语，学习英语，在享受中运用英语，巩固英语。
教学语言美要求教师在讲课时，要用英语讲英语，尽量不用汉语；教师的语音，语调正确，甜润，声音和语速适合学生，语言纯真，流利，简明；教学语言还要求教师讲课时生动幽默，这本身就体现了英美人的语言特点，使平淡乏味的英语课堂充满欢声笑语，生机盎然。
教学语言美还体现在语言的文明，礼貌上。
如在课堂上不断出现Please;Thank you!I'm sorry.等给学生以文明礼貌的感染和美好人际关系的体验。
在回答问题或操练时经常使用一些肯定词。
如：Good;Great job!Terrific!Marvellous!等给学生的更是一种肯定，鼓励和信心，是学生感受到成功的喜悦。
新课程标准要求教师有多重角色，教师是课堂活动的组织者、引导者和参与者，我主要说一下怎么去当课堂活动的参与者，我要求我的学生每星期都背诵一些精彩句子或段落，因为背诵是学英语过程中必不可少的。
对他们的要求也同样适用于我，我检查他们，他们也检查我，完不成任务的就得给大家表演一个节目。
有一次，我把背诵的事给忽略了，结果星期一没通过学生的检查，我想找点借口，学生说：“老师，别耍赖啊！”你想，学生能说我耍赖，你就知道他们跟我没有界限了。
好吧，没完成就是没完成，我只好笨拙地表演了一段兔子舞，虽不标准，但学生喜欢，因为他们愿意看到老师真实的一面。
我说这个是什么意思呢？就是你本身融入到课堂活动中，参与到课堂活动中，你自然就融入了学生的喜怒哀乐中，学生怎么样你都了解，学生有什么也愿意跟你说，愿意跟你交心做朋友，这样他们就会因为喜欢你而喜欢英语。
学生在英语学习中的第一难题就是单词记不住，而单词又是一切的基础。
就像盖房子中的砖一样，没有它建筑就无从谈起。
因此，教给他们一些有效的记单词方法十分必要。
记单词时，一定要坚持音、形、义相结合。
要让学生知道：记单词时，多种感观并用，效果更好。
也就是说，眼睛看着，嘴上读着，耳朵听着，手上写着。
与遗忘做斗争的最好办法就是勤复
习。
科学实验证明，在学习材料刚刚记住的时候，经过1小时再检查，发现只能记住学习材料的44％左右，而56%全被忘记了；经过一天后，再检查，只记住了33%的内容，而67%被忘记了；六天后，再检查，只记住了学习内容的25%左右。
可见，在学会和记住了某些知识后，紧接着的就是先快后慢地遗忘。
因此，必须在还没有遗忘之前进行复习，以加深和巩固对学习内容的理解与记忆，使大脑的神经联系得到强化。
俗话说，好记性不如烂笔头。
多写几遍还是管用的。
做合格的中学英语教师必须改革旧的教学观。
由“专制”走向民主，由封闭走向开放。
由课本内容走向学生经验的时候，课本就不只是“文本课程”而更是“语言体验”。
师生双方关系不再是我讲，你听；我问，你答；我写，你抄；我给，你收。
取而代之的是教与学的交往互动，师生双方相互交流，相互沟通，相互启发，相互补充。
在这个过程中教师与学生分享彼此的经验和知识交流彼此的情感体验与观念，丰富教学内容，求得新的发展，从而达到共识、共享、共进，实现教学相长，共同发展。
师生彼此形成一个真正的“学习共同体”即：教师式学生或学生式教师，教师由教学中的主角转向“平等中的首席”，在这样的英语教学气氛中学生的英语学习会达到举一反三，闻一知十，温故知新的新境界，真正尝到英语学习的乐趣，这是深层的学会之乐，会学之乐。
易学、智学、乐学，必然会带动多学和快学，实现费时较少，收效较多。
做合格的中学教师必须改革旧的学生观。
破除把学生看成具有某种特定功能的机器，即接受知识的容器。
倡导“一切为了每一位学生的发展”，把学生看成发展的人、独特的人，具有独立意义的人。
每个学生都是一个独立的人，学习是学生自己的事情，教师只能让学生自己读书，感受事物，自己观察思考，从而使他们自己明白事理，掌握知识。
尊重学生的独立性，培养他们独立学习，独立解决问题的能力，发展学生的潜能，满腔热情地引导、帮助学生自己去赢得学习的自由。
重视学生的独特性，在学习过程中会不可避免地产生学习层次的差异，教师要充分尊重学生（特别是学困生），要在教学中充分体现有助于学生的主体地位，让他们平等地、自觉地、主动地参与教学生活中，努力捕捉每位同学身上的闪光点，适时激发，鼓励启发最大限度调动他们的学习内因。
教师是任务的设计者、示范者、参与者、组织者、监督者和评价者。
教师不仅要为学习提供帮助，而且要充分发挥其主导作用，有效地组织学生完成任务。
“疯狂英语”的发起人李阳说过：“舞是跳出来的，游泳是游出来的，英语是说出来的。
”道出了学习语言的真谛。
美国一个图书馆有三句话：“我听见了就忘记了，我看见了就记住了，我做了就理解了。
”由此可见学生参与体验学习语言的重要性。
总之，做一个合格的中学英语教师，要打破旧的教育观、教学观、学生观、不断探索实践符合中国英语教育的客观规律，才不负时代赋予我们英语教师的历史使命。
第二，具有高尚的师德。
教师的道德品质应当是优秀的。
因为教师在学生的心目中往往是最有威望、最崇敬的人之一，因而教师的思想行为对学生的影响很大，起着潜移默化的作用。
教师必须严格要求自己，各方面以身作则，处处作学生的楷模。
特别是教师对自己的教课，一定要认真负责，精益求精。
决不能马马虎虎，潦草从事。
教师还要做到既教书又育人。
教师除教好自己的课外，要关心学生的思想品德。
对学生应严格要求，而且要持之以恒。
尊重学生、热爱学生、关心学生是教师的天职。
要关心他们的思想和学习，指导和纠错要有耐心。
对待每一个学生公正而不“偏爱”。
该表扬的表扬，该批评的批评。
这样的教师在学生心目中才能最有威望。
第三，必须具备终身学习的理念。
在新教材的过程中，随着课本知识的改变，教学相长尤为重要。
教师自己必须经常进行课外扩充，不单是英语单词的扩充，还应该学习跨学科的知识。
做合格的中学英语教师必须改革旧的教育理念，真正确立其与《新课标》相适应的体现素质教育精神的教育观。
即：充分认识学习英语是人的发展的一部分。
把英语的教学目标从知识和技能两个方面扩展到包括技能、知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等五个方
面，有利于真正实现素质教育，促进学生全面发展。
并以此来指导我们的教学实践，在实践中不断提高自己的专业技能和各方面的素质。
英语教师不仅是语言文化的传播者、学习方法的指导者，更是师生互动的参与者。
只要我们坚持教师所做的一切都是为了学生更加明媚的未来这个原则，只要我们坚持不断从教学基本功，师德和继续教育等方面来提高自己，我们就一定成为一名合格的英语教师。
