在英语教学中培养学生的知识迁移能力

培养学生知识迁移（transfer）能力，是当前教学改革中亟待解决的重要课题，是培养学生发现问题、分析问题、解决问题的良好方法，是促进学生思维能力发展的有效途径，更是素质教育的必要手段。

在中学英语教学中，重视迁移规律的影响和作用，全面了解和准确把握迁移现象，科学运用迁移规律，对于学生掌握语言学习规律和提高语言学习的能力，将起着不可估量的作用。因此，在英语教学中，笔者为培养学生的知识迁移能力，做了一些探索。主要通过知识对比，寻找知识间的内在联系，探求它们的共同特点、共同原理、共同规律，然后运用这些特点、原理、规律指导学生去学习新的知识，形成新的能力，从而提高学生的英语成绩，培养学生的知识迁移能力。

下面，笔者以通过阅读理解教学提高学生的书面表达能力为例，探讨知识迁移规律在教学中的实际运用。

高考英语中，书面表达一直是一个重点。同时，不可回避的是，书面表达也是让学生倍感头疼的一个难点。写作能

力的提高绝非一日之功，而提高写作能力的方法也是不一而足。笔者在教学中，采取掌握规律、典型引路、原理迁移的方法，促使学生知识迁移。如在议论文阅读教学中，首先引导学生寻找议论文的内在特点，即：１．三要素，有论点、论据、论证；２．三段式结构，大都有引论、本论、结论；３．论证步骤，提出问题（是什么），分析问题（为什么）、解决问题（怎么办）；４．论证方法，理论论证、事实论证、理论事实结合论证、正反对比论证、围绕中心层层论证或从几个方面分别开展论证等；５．逻辑的严密性。然后重点分析一篇范文，进行实践，掌握规律，最后指导学生运用这些原理、规律去分析其它议论文。

下面是笔者的具体做法。

首先，选择一篇文章，要求学生进行限时阅读，并完成文章后的题目。文章的选择当然不应该是随意的，要结合我们的目的进行精心地选择。例如，笔者希望学生通过下面文章学习议论文的写作。重点是文章的结构，段落的划分，关键词的选择，句式的选择以及关联词的使用。所选文章如下。

Drugs have become a serious problem in China. The number of people taking drugs is on the rise each year. Some people became addicted to using drugs to relieve pains. Some thought drugs would lessen stress and renew energy. Quite a few youngsters addicted just thought the drug-taking was a

fashion. So most drug addicts started with ignorance and curiosity.

Obviously, the harm done by drugs to the individuals and society is very great. As is know to all, the drug-taking does great harm to one’s health. The drug addicts often suf fer severe symptoms like headaches, sickness and general disability when drugs can’t be obtained. As a result, the strong desire for drugs may force them to use up all their money and even drive them to steal or kill to satisfy themselves. The drug-taking will, without doubt result in the splitting of families, crimes and even death of the users. It will also endanger the peace of society.

Therefore, it is urgent that we do something to deal with the problem. First of all, we should educate people, especial ly the youngsters to realize that drugs bring nothing but harm to the users, the families and the whole society. Then we should strike hard against the drug sellers and smugglers and cut off the supply. Also we should bring home the tragic lessons to the drug users and help them to get rid of the habit and to support themselves. If we are determined to struggle against drugs, there is no problem that can’t be solved.

针对该篇文章，首先要求学生在5分钟内阅读并且解决

文章后的题目，进一步要求学生概括文章的题目。学生可以较为轻松地找出文章中的关键词drugs，problem和deal with。于是我们可概括出文章的题目：The Problem of Drugs and Ways to Deal with Them。这一练习可以训练学生概括文章主题的能力。

接下来对学生进行分组，要求他们分析和体会英语议论文的大致结构。讨论后，综合各组结果可以得出以下结论：Paragraph 1 Topic, Problems & Reasons —→Introduction

Paragraph 2 Harm —→Body

Paragraph 3 Your Opinion —→Conclusion

由上面结构可以看出，议论文大致是三段式。第一段引出话题，从而提出主题，中间用一到两个段落采用比较、列举或比较的方式论证自己的观点，在结论处或重述主题，或归纳总结照应首段，或提出问题的解决方法。

然后要进行更为详细的讨论和分析。这一环节中我们要找出每一段落的内部结构、主题句、关键词和连接词。学生发现每个段落大约有二到三部分构成，即主题句、支撑细节，有时还会有结论句。于是经过讨论和补充我们就有了更为细化的文章结构分析。
