药学专业英语教改新模式的探索与实践摘要：药学专业英语是面向四年制药学类本科高年级学生开设的一门专业课程，具有针对性强、实用性强、专业背景性强等特点，而传统的基础英语的教学手段难以达到教学目标要求。
本文对该课程的定位、特点进行分析，从教材、教学方法、教学手段、教学考核评价等方面对课程的教学模式进行了分析。
关键词：药学专业英语教学模式教改
药学专业英语是高等医学院校开设的一门专业课程，是药学专业课程教学的重要组成部分。
其设置目的是强化和巩固基础英语，并运用所掌握的基础英语技能进行实践应用。
最基本的目标是使学生熟练阅读国外医药学相关的专业文献，掌握本专业发展前沿的最新动态，并具有一定的专业英语写作能力。
因此，专业英语既是基础英语教学的延伸，又是基础英语与专业课程的结合与实践，是培养药学类本科生综合能力的重要工具，对学生的全面素质教育具有十分重要的作用［１］。
药学专业英语的教学目标明确，针对性强，实用性强。
与基础英语相比有许多属于它本身的特点，国家部委颁布了针对医学高等院校本科的《大学英语教学大纲》，明确规定学生应“以英语为工具，获取专业所需的信息”的指导思想，而专业英语则以信息量大、语言准确精练、陈述直截了当、句子结构完整且模式化等为特点，学生的学习目的是用英语进行专业学习和工作，此阶段的教学应以语言为工具获取专业知识，达到专业交流的目的。
由于药学专业英语是一个较年轻的学科，对教学目标、大纲、教材及教育特点的认识可能不够全面，因此需要我们边实践教学边摸索。
为了使药学英语发挥其应有的作用并让学生真正受益，在此过程中，我教研室在前人教学的基础之上，有针对性地尝试着对包括教材、教学方法、教学手段、考核方法等一系列教学策略的改进和比较研究后，获得了良好的实施效果。
现从以下几个方面进行阐述，希望与同行进行交流，以便为本课程设置、教学要求等方面的改善，以及为教学水平和质量的提高奠定基础。
一、教材
教材是教学环节的关键，选择适合的教材十分重要，但目前国内可供选择的教材较少。
我院选用由胡廷熹主编的《药学英语》第3版，该教材为“十一五”规划教材，编者涵盖了药物化学、药剂学、药理学等八个学科，涉及了大部分常用专业词汇，从专业内容上与学生的专业课程衔接紧密，难易适中，但从人才市场和企业不断发展的需求角度讲，该教材在内容上缺少关于药品商品的部分内容，如药品说明书、药典等内容，因此需要我们在此基础之上增加自编内容，包括说明书、部分药典、相关学术论文的书写格式等。
除此之外，我们还要对该教材的内容进行加工，联系专业课程，使之图文并茂，用具体的动画机制或流程图等激发学生的兴趣，并使之与基础专业课程相贯通。
二、教学方法
1.学教材
专业英语的特点在于其专业词汇、语法结构及修辞手段的不同。
［2］因此通过教材中数量有限的题材类别，可以集中有效地帮助学生熟悉药学二级学科的常用词汇及语言特点。
我们通过认真学习、剖析典型的课文，分析其中词汇组成的规律，总结常用词根，再配合以抢答、竞猜为形式的课堂词汇练习，使学生很快将专业基础知识与英语表达联系起来，在最短时间内掌握了本领域常用的专业词汇和常用表达句型。
通过这种教学方式，学生不但学习积极性提高了，而且显著提高了专业阅读和交际能力。
2.读科技刊物
各学科领域的先锋科技信息首先出现在该领域的重点及核心期刊上，因此，引导学生选择性地读本领域学术期刊是非常有必要的。
除了让学生认识nature，science等年代久远、影响卓著的科学刊物外，还介绍一些国内该领域的核心期刊的英文版如：journal of chinese pharmaceutical sciences（中国药学杂志）、chinese medical journal（中华医学杂志）等。
并利用网络资源，指导学生在一些通用外文期刊检索网站（如：pubmed等）上进行学习，结合学生自身的兴趣方向，调动学生探知欲的同时，提高他们主动阅读的积极性。
我们安排每两周一次进行刊物阅读，让学生以小组为单位，节选一段科技文章，进行课堂讲解和网络交流，大大激发了学生的兴趣，收到了良好的教学效果。
3.科技文献摘要写作训练
科技文献中的摘要部分具有语言精练、文字简约的特点，是科
技论文的重要组成部分。
对本科生而言，完全掌握论文全文的英文撰写是很有难度的，然而基本的科技论文相应的英文摘要撰写技能的掌握，是十分有必要的。
首先指导学生熟悉其结构：摘要（abstract）是由目的（objective）、方法（methods）、结果（results）、结论（conclusion）等四部分组成的，并熟悉每部分的主旨；然后总结各部分一些通用的表达方式，如“the idea of our method of measurement is to analyze...”；“the study of...is based on...”；“the result shows that...”；“we thus conclude that...”等。
［3］通过针对性的反复练习，学生逐渐掌握这种写作模式。
在对近几年的毕业论文抽查中发现，学生英文摘要撰写水平整体有明显的提高。
4.说明书、药典等常用书面文件的阅读及翻译
为了让学生的专业英语学习更具广泛性，我们增加了对医药企业相关知识的阅读和笔译能力训练。
在教材之外，添加了药品说明书的互译，如性状（description）、药理作用（pharmacological actions）、适应症（indications）、用法用量（dosage and administration）、不良反应（adverse reaction）、禁忌症（contraindications）、注意事项（caution）、贮存（storage）等。
引导学生阅读国际药品原料标准的书写格式，了解常用药学商务词汇，为今后学生踏入医药企业奠定了良好的能力基础。
三、教学手段
除了利用传统的多媒体教学之外，我院提供的数字资源是重要
的教学手段。
其中网络教学平台为师生之间的交流提供了广阔的空间，不仅能使学生拓展专业英语相关知识、加深对知识点的理解，而且能有效地锻炼学生查找和处理专业英语信息的能力。
网络教学平台的作业、答疑、讨论、留言等的设置，都加强了老师与每个学生之间的个体交流，很好地弥补了课堂提问的不足，也提高了学生的积极性，使该门课程的建设不断完善。
四、考核评价制度的改革
由于药学专业英语偏重应用性，因此不能完全采用传统英语的考核手段。
我们将考核分为三部分：平时听、说、读、写成绩，文献阅读成绩和闭卷考试成绩。
其中“文献阅读”考核方法是，利用网络教学平台中“测试作业”项，让学生在线随机抽取外文文献题库，然后在计算机的控制下，在规定时间内完成提问并提交。
通过考核制度的调整，学生改变了以前死记硬背的学法，而将专业英语作为一种专业技能去掌握，也改变了传统的仅仅依靠纸质成绩界定学生素质的评判方式。
经过近几年的尝试，不但使学生掌握专业英语的能力增强了，而且使学生的综合能力得到了锻炼。
五、讨论
在目前科技快速发展的时代，要拥有药学领域自主知识产权的技术、产品，就要具有敏锐地捕捉国际领域成果和最新动态的能力，无疑对药学专业学生来讲，专业英语的掌握是至关重要的。
通过该门课程的教学，我们不但摸索出一套行之有效的教育方法，完善了该门课程在药学专业教育中的教学指导思想、教学目标、课程设置、
教学内容、教学方法，而且培养了一批具有良好素质的药学复合型人才，得到了相关企业的认可和赞同，每年平均有2—3位毕业生赴美英攻读硕士学位。
同时，在教学过程中，专业英语任课老师也抓住不断提升自我水平、勤于与国内国际进行交流的机会，从而大大提高了教师队伍的整体素质。
［4］尽管如此，工作依然存在一些问题，还有许多继续改善的地方，还面临着来自各方面的挑战，只有在不断探索和改进中才能逐步走向成熟。
