一教材分析
1.单元及课文分析
本单元主要围绕“社区”这个话题编排。
在本单元中学生将会学习一些有关描述和谈论社区的词汇，短语和句型，包括商业区，居民和社区风景等。
学生将会区分不同的地点和位置并且学习寻求帮助，问路指路。
本单元语法重点为because引导的原因状语从句。
在本课教学过程中，重点操练了问路指路的日常用语。
2. 教学重点
1. Learning some new words and phrases of lesson 21: downtown, coffee, through, cherry,
sidewalk, himself, entrance, be/get lost, Can you tell me the way to…? Turn right/left at the… crossing.
2. Talking about asking for help when we lost the way.
3. 教学难点
1.Adverbial Clause with “because”.
2. How to point the way to others.
二．教学步骤：
1.温故知新。
（5 minutes）
Check some words and phrases of lesson 21: downtown, coffee, through, cherry, sidewalk, himself, entrance, be/get lost, Can you tell me the way to…? Turn right/left at the…
crossing.
2.激情导入。
（5 minutes）
Have you ever lost your way?
What do you do if someone asks you for directions?
3.新课学习。
（30 minutes）
Step one:
Read the lesson and write true (T) or false (F). (At first, read the four questions and know the meaning. Second, read the dialogue quickly and fill in the blanks. Then , read the dialogue one sentence by one sentence and find something that it’s important or you don’t understand it. At last, Write down something important on your notebook.)
Check the answers as a class.
Step two:
Instruct the students to read Lesson 21 silently and write true of false independently.
Students should check and correct their answers in groups.
Discuss the answers a a class and correct any flase statements.
Step three:
Read carefully and fill in the table: What’s Danny’s way to the movie theatre?
Step four:
learn the language points and fill in tne blanks with the words in the box. (finish Number 3 of Let’s Do It.)
Step five: Work in groups .One of you asks the way,the other shows the way,make a new dialogue. ( Finish number 4 of Let’s Do It.)

五、教学反思：
在教这一课时，问路以及怎样回答是这课的难点，我认为有些学生在理解方面很有难度,要教学生如何问路，以及如何指引学生回答。
这组句型比较大，灵活性较强，句子结构较复杂，所涉及的词组较多，学生理解起来有一定的难度，但是一旦学生理解了其中的内涵，就比较容易掌握。
我根据课文内容创设情景并提供一些有针对性的问题，以便学生能比较容易地理解课文内容。
课文的后半部分较前半部分较简单。
学会整篇课文要求学生复述式表演课文，这样有利于学生对课文的进一步理解与掌握。
然后让同学自己理解每句话的意思以及相符的动作。
有的分组讨论，有的独立思考等，联系旧知在进一步组成对话。
