原文：现代社会充满了矛盾，从价值观的持有到生活方式的选择，而最让人感到尴尬的是，当面对重重矛盾，许多时候你却别无选择。匆忙与休闲是截然不同的两种生活方式，也可以说是两种生活态度，但在现实生活中，人们却在这两种生活方式与态度间频繁穿梭，有时也说不清自己到底是?休闲着…还是?匆忙着…。譬如说，当我们正在旅游胜地享受假期，却忽然接到老板的电话，告知客户或工作方面出了麻烦---现代便捷先进的通讯工具在此刻显示出了它狰狞、阴郁的面容---搞得人一下子兴趣全无，接下来的休闲只能徒有其表，因为心里已是火烧火燎了。我的翻译：

The modern society are full of contradictories, ranging from the holdings of values to the choice to lifestyle, and what made you most embarrassed is the moment when you have no choice facing mountains of difficulties. Living hurriedand leisurely are totally different lifestyle, or attitudes towards life. While in reality, people switch from one kind of lifestyle to another quickly. Sometimes it is hard to say whether one is busy or not. For example, when enjoying your holiday in a resort, you received a phone call from boss telling you there are some trouble with the client and your work at hand. This shows the drawback of the modern technology, which makes people lost all the good mood. During the rest of the holidays, you can only pretend to be in the leisure time, for it is already stressed out in your mind.

Being hasty and at leisure are two quite distinct lifestyles. But in the real world, people have to frequently shuttle between these two lifestyles, sometimes not sure whether they are “at ease” or “in a rush”. For example, we are enjoying our holidays in the resort while suddenly we receive phone calls from the boss who tells us there are some troubles with our customers and work----so at this moment the modern, convenient and advanced device shows its vicious and gloomy features---and we lose all our interest. The subsequent leisure is the mere showy for we are in a restless and anxious state of mind.

自己对照与反思：与参考译文相比，字数明显偏多。说明翻译的不够精简流畅。从句式上来看，很多地方的句式简单，而且语言略显啰嗦，比如lifestyle和life attitude的频繁重复使用。因此在句式变化这一点上还要更加注意

别人对照与反思：与周源的翻译相比，参考答案的句子更加精炼，简洁。更加符合原文的文体。因此在翻译中，我们要注意句子意思的转化，中文里为了文字的华丽，很多表述会显得重复累赘，需要我们在翻译中进行总结。

原文：只有在我过度劳累的时候，在我长时间不间断地工作的时侯，在我感到内

心空虚，需要充实的时候，我才会感到寂寞。有时，外出演讲回来，见了许多人,讲了许多话，心中满是纷乱的体验需要整理，偶而也会觉得孤独。于是有那么一会儿，我会感到整个房子非常大，空荡荡的。不知此时的自我又藏匿于何处。这时，我会给花草浇浇水，挨个瞅瞅，仿佛它们是活生生的人一样，或是喂喂两只小猫，亲手做顿饭菜，这样自我就慢慢地重新找回。

我的翻译：The loneliness only access me when I feel over-tired, when I worked constantly for a long time and when I needfulfillment to my inner side. Sometimes, when I finished a speech trip from another city, and have a lot of people whom I talked a lot, there are much crowded experience in my mind that needs to be settled. Somehow, I will feel quite lonely staying in a huge and empty house. At that time, I’am wondering where the real me are. Thus, I tends to water the flowers and look at every of them just like they are the real people who exists in my life, or I will feed the catty or do some meals. That’s the way I used to find my self.

翻译参考：I am lonely only when I am overtired, when I have worked too long without a break, when for the time being I feel empty and need filling up. And I am lonely sometimes when I come back home after a lecture trip, when I have seen a lot of people and talked a lot, and am full to the brim with experience that needs to be sorted out. Then for a little while the house feels huge and empty, and I wonder where my self is hiding. It has to be recaptured slowly by watering the plants, perhaps, and looking again at each one as though it were a person, by feeding the two cats, by cooking a meal.

自己的对照与反思：对于散文的翻译，要充分理解表层含义和深层含义。在理解的基础上，还要对作品的写作背景、出处、以及作者的性格生平做好全面了解，以便更好的理解原文，挖掘深层含义，是译文更贴近原文。外地演讲回来可以用lecture trip，把喂猫养花变成by 带领的短语，可以是句子更加简洁。

别人的对照与反思：参考译文相对来说使用词汇方面比较精准，不是注重使用难词而是追求词汇的精确性。同时，在对于中文里面同一词汇在不同语境下要翻译成不一样的单词，这篇译文也做了很好的示范。
