题目1. If friends from another country were going to spend time in your country, what city or place would you suggest they visit? Using details and examples, explain why.答案I would suggest them to visit Chongqing. I lived there for five years so I am familiar with it. Firstly, Chongqing has a unique scenery. It’s a mountainous city. Because of this special terrain, the buildings and Pedestrian Malls are built in a different way from other cities. For example, the fourth floor of one building may be the ground level of another one. Secondly, Chongqing has many kinds of delicious food. Hot pot is like world-famous. Everyone in China knows it originate from Chongqing. Besides, there are some other famous food such as Kung Pao Chicken and double-cooked pork slices. Anyway, if one goes to Chongqing, one will feel that every meal is a feast.题目2. State whether you agree or disagree with the following statement. Then explain your reasons, using specific details in your explanation.Learning through online courses is more effective than learning in the traditional classroom setting.答案I think learning in traditional classrooms is better. The reason why I think so is that there are more interactions intraditional classrooms than in online courses. Students can have discussions and they see each other face to face. It’s highly probable that some of them will become friends. While in the online courses, students don’t know each other, they miss a chance of making friends. Also, in a traditional classroom, if a student doesn’t understand a concept or an idea, he or she can raise hand to ask the teacher directly. While in an online course, there is no chance for students to raise hands or to throw out questions immediately. Students in traditional classrooms not only learn the academic knowledge but also learn basic interpersonal interactions.I prefer to take academic courses on the Internet. Since the courses are offered online, I don’t have to live near campus. All I need is a computer and a well-connected Internet. I can study at home and anywhere convenient. Besides, I don’t have to worry about my housing, nor do I need to drive back and forth. So it saves me money and time. Also, it’s easier to record online courses so I can review the part I don’t understand. With the recorded courses, I can have a good review before final examination.(同TPO4第二题)3. The woman expresses her opinion of the university's plan. State her opinion and explain the reasons she gives for holding that opinion.答案The university is planning to discontinue the sculpture course because students lack interest in it and the department’s only professor is retiring. The woman in the conversation thinks the university has got it all wrong. The low enrollment in the sculpture course is not due to students’ lack of interest but to students’ lack of time. Sculpture course is optional. The required courses such as painting and drawing take much of the students’ time. Besides, the woman thinks the university can hire a part-time teacher to teach sculpture course. There are many professors who have secondary fields. For instance, many painting teachers are also good sculptors. The woman is sure that these professors can teach the sculpture course.题目4. Using the example from the lecture, explain what behavior modification is and how it works.答案Behavior modification is a phenomenon that individuals change their behaviors based on what they have learned about theconsequences of certain behaviors. The professor uses an example to illustrate the phenomenon. In the example, at the beginning, the kids at school don’t know the rules of class. They may interrupt the teacher, walk around the classroom. The teacher gets angry with them, so the kids get published. They have to sit in the classroom when everyone else is playing outside. They don’t like this consequence. They know these behaviors get them in trouble. So they start to raise hand, sit quietly, and pay attention to the teacher. They get reward from doing so. The teacher may say that she is proud of them and maybe put happy face stickers on their homework. Now that their behaviors get good reactions from teacher, the kids learn to always act like this. 题目5. The speakers discuss two possible solutions to the woman ‘s problem. Briefly summarize the problem. Then state which solution you recommend and explain why.答案The woman’s computer is broken and it won’t be back until the end of next week. But it’s now the end of semester, all her papers are due next week. The man gives her two possible solutions. The first solution is to go to computer club where there are lots of machines. But the woman thinks it’s so crowded and noisy that she can’t concentrate. The second solution is to call the repairshop to ask if they can fix the computer quickly and give it back to her at the beginning of next week. Then the woman will have enough time to finish her paper. But the repair shop is closed today and tomorrow. It’ll be a few days before the woman can talk to them. I would recommend her to choose the first solution. Since time is limited and it’s not sure whether her computer can be fixed in time, using the computer center is the only choice. Even though the computer center is crowded and noisy, it’s always possible to concentrate on work.题目6. Using points and examples from the lecture, explain the two major factors of product quality and how their role in consumer decision making has changed.答案When a purchaser is considering two identically priced products, they make decisions according to the quality. There are two major factors of product quality: reliability and features.A product is reliable when it works the way we expect. For example, if a car doesn’t work the way it should and it needs repair all the time, it is not reliable. So reliability means the absence of defects and problems. However, our concern with reliability is different now, manufacture standards are so high that productsare all very reliable. So reliability is not a deciding factor anymore. Instead, features are becoming more important in making decisions. Features are extras and things aren’t necessary. Features make a product cool and easier to use. For example, in a car, features are electric windows, air conditioning and stereos. Since reliability of different products are almost equal, people care more about the features.。

1. Students often want to get better grades in their classes. Explain what students should do in order to improve their performance in a class.I think there are a couple of ways to help students get better grades. First of all, students need to pay attention to the teachers in class. Because teachers have experience and they can always make some hard-to-understand concepts and ideas easy for students. If students listen carefully and take notes, they will feel easy about exams. Second of all, doing homework is pretty important. It is a very good way to consolidate what has learned in the class. It offers exercises that can help students prepare for upcoming exams.2. Some people do not enjoy shopping and shop only when they have a specific purchase to make. Others like to go shopping for pleasure whether or not they have something to buy. Which do you prefer and why?I think I belong to the first group of people. I just don’t like doing things without an aim. It’s a waste of time and money going shopping when I don’t even know what I need. I think I’m a pragmatic person. I only go shopping when I want something. Like, if I want a computer, I’ll go to adigital shop. Otherwise, I would never go there. Also, I just don’t get pleasure from purchasing since I always have to pay. And when I’ve bought something, I don’t feel like owning it. It’s doomed to be consumed or used up. Things will come and go.3. The woman expresses her opinion about the university's plan. Briefly summarize the plan. Then state her opinion and explain the reasons she gives for holding that opinion. The university decides to hold two ceremonies because the number of students is increasing, hence making the ceremony too long and because the hall is too small to hold so many students. The woman doesn’t agree with this proposal. As for the first reason, the woman thinks the real reason why the ceremony is too long is that there are too many speeches. Students, professors and administrators all make speeches. Reducing some of the speeches will shorten the ceremony so there is no need to hold two ceremonies. As for the second reason, the woman thinks the hall is big enough to hold all the students. Problem is that right now, each student gets to invite too many guests. So the university can just reduce the number of guests each person can invite. Still, there is no need to hold two ceremonies.4. Using the example of the telephone, explain the concept of cultural lag.Cultural lag is a period of transition when people adjust to new technologies. In the lecture, the professor uses telephone to illustrate this concept. When telephone was invented, only businesses used it because they realized that telephone could benefit them and help them. The general public thought calling someone on the phone was rude because it missed the personal regard. And some people just didn’t like talking to people without seeing their face. However, after a period of time, the cultural lag, the public started to accept telephone. Almost every home had one. Everyone began to use telephone. Friends would call each other to chat. And people didn’t consider calling someone rude as long as they follow certain rules of politeness.5. Briefly summarize the problem the speakers are discussing. Then state which of the two solutions from the conversation you would recommend. Explain the reasons for your recommendation. The man has a problem getting to the campus. His apartment is far fromcampus. Previously, his roommate Jim gave him rides everyday. But now Jim is moving out and the man himself can’t afford a car. The woman offers two possible solutions. The first one is to take the public bus. But there is not direct line to the campus. The man will have to change buses and it’s a little waste of time. The second one is to live on campus. But the man says he will miss the old apartment. I recommend the man the second solution. Since he has a history project to do. And living alone on campus gives him a good environment and also saves him a lot of time from traveling. I think the missing of the old apartment will go away after he get used to living on campus.6. Using points and example from the lecture, explain two ways weathering occurs. The professor talks about two ways weathering occurs. The first way is by water. When it rains, the water can fall into the cracks of rocks. At night, when temperature drops, the water will freeze. And when water freezes, it expands so that it will push the both sides of the cracks. Gradually, pieces of rocks will break off. The second way is by plants. Plant seeds can take roots in cracks and crevices of rocks since there is enough dirt and water. When roots grow and extend downward to findwater, they enlarge and widen the cracks and crevices and so the rocks will break down.。

Do you think this requirement is a good idea? Why or why not?托福TPO37独立口语Task1满分范文:I think let students to have cooking classes is a good idea. First, it is helpful for young kids to learn knowledge of nutrition and health. For example, if our schools teach students to identify junk food, students will avoid themselves to eat it in the future. In addition, cooking is a useful skill in our daily life. For example, we can cook for our family members on their birthday to give them a big surprise. Or we can cook together with our friends at weekends just to have fun. So it will benefit children a lot if they learn to cook at a young age.以上是给大家整理的托福TPO37口语T ask1题目+满分范文,希望对你有所帮助!。

托福TPO50独立口语Task2题目: Some people like having a wide variety of friends and acquaintances they can spend time with. Others like to spend most of their free time with the same small group of close friends. Which do you prefer? Explain why. 托福TPO50独立口语Task2满分范文: This is a quite complicated question. It really depends on the very motive behind your making friends. If you want to improve yourself, it is much better to get in touch with a wide range of friends and acquaintances because by having access to a wider and more diverse social network, you could make progress in various aspects, like you may be capable of meeting people who are older than you and they could offer you the wisdom of their life experience. Nevertheless, if you would love to vent your emotions, a small and closer friend is always a better choice. When being in front of your close buddies, you just can be yourself and don’t have to care too much about what you say and do. Everything that you express and convey wouldn’t hurt any of your practical interest. It’s just a way of relief and relaxation. Therefore, to be with which sort of friends is up to your true need. 以上是给大家整理的托福TPO50口语Task2题目+满分范文,希望对你有所帮助!。

托福TPO15口语Task6听力文本: Listen to part of a lecture in a biology class. Professor: Birds have some of the best vision capabilities in the animal kingdom. Some bird species have vision that is 8 to 10 times greater than humans. Overall a bird's eyes are extremely important for its survival. One aspect of birds' eyes that plays a role in helping them survive, in other words to find food or to avoid predators, is the position of the eyes in the skull. Some birds have eyes that face forward on the skull, kind of similar to how humans' eyes are positioned. Forward-facing eyes allow a bird to clearly see and judge distances because it can focus on objects with both of its eyes and correctly perceive height, width and depth. One type of bird with eyes positioned in the front of the skull is the hawk. Hawks eat animals like mice. Hawks have such good eyesight that they can spot a tiny mouse in the field from high up in the air. They spot the mouse and swoop down to catch it. Without such good eyesight, they would not be able to spot or catch their food.Other birds have eyes that are located on each side of the skull. This positioning of the eyes can help a bird to avoid predators. Instead of just seeing what's directly in front, they can see things that are on either side, permitting them to watch for danger in all directions. Imagine a duck waiting near the edge of a lake. It needs to spend time eating grasses and insects. But it also is on constant lookout for danger from its predator like the fox. An eye on each side of the duck's head allows it to see a fox approaching from either side. If it spots a fox, it can then fly away to safety. The placement of the eyes are critical in helping the duck avoid predators. 托福TPO15口语Task6题目: Using the examples in the lecture, explain how the position of birds’ eyes is critical to their survival. 托福TPO15口语Task6满分范文: Some birds have eyes that face forwards on the skull, like human eyes. 新托福TPO口语参考题目答案——TPO3 - 副本

题目 1. What characteristics do you think make someone a good parent? Explain why these characteristics are important to you.答案I think a good parent should be patient. Because children are always confused with the things around them, they ask questions every now and then. A good parent should be patient enough to give them answers. When i was very young, I always asked questions like “Why can airplanes fly?”,“Why can’t we fly?” and “Why the earth is a globe?”. My parents answered these questions patiently and if they couldn't, they would buy books that have the answers to my questions. I also think a good parent should be open-minded. In other words, they should respect their children's decisions when their kids are growing up. My parents always show their respect to my decisions. My major in the college is software engineering, but I decided to be an English teacher after graduation. My parents respected my decision and allow me to pursue my own interest. Thanks to my parents, I am patient and I respect other people.题目 2. Some students prefer to work on class assignments by themselves. Others believe it is better to work in a group. Which do you prefer? Explain why.答案I prefer to work on assignments individually. There are two reasons. The first is that I like to be in a quiet place while studying. If I study in a group, I will always be interrupted by group members who talk about irrelevant things. Then it’s possible that I can’t even finish the assignments. Once, I attended a group discussion. Many people were not even discussing. They were just talking about NBA games. When it ended, I got nothing from it. The second reason is that I’d like to think independently. Studying individually gives me enough time to develop my own ideas. When studying in a group, I will always be distracted by other’s opinions and thoughts. So sometimes many assignments are not done by myself but by other group members.Like last week, I worked in a group to solve math problems. It turned out that many problems were solved by others not by myself.I felt very unhappy about it.Personally, I like working in groups better. There are two reasons to name. First is that there is diversity in groups. Group members all have their different perspectives so some members can help other members. Last week, I attended a math group and there was one math problem I couldn’t work out. But there was one member who knew how to solve that problem and he worked out the problem in a completely different way. Then I learned from him. The second reason is that I can practice my communicative skills. In group discussions, I should be able to understand others’ ideas and at the same time to convey mine clearly in order to make the communication go well. I learn how to express myself properly and to be a good-listener.题目3. The woman expresses her opinion of the change that has been announced. State her opinion and explain her reasons for holding that opinion.答案Dining services will not serve hot breakfast food anymore. They only serve cold breakfast food. The woman in the conversation thinks the change is ridiculous. First of all, she thinks whether something is hot or cold doesn’t necessarily mean it is healthy. She says that in a really cold morning, a nice warm omelet is obviously better than a bowel of cold cereal. Secondly, she thinks the change will not help save money. Because if the students can’t get what they want from dining hall, they will go off-campus. Then they have to pay off-campus price, which is more expensive. So this change will not help save money but actually end up costing more.题目4. Using the example discussed by the professor, explain what cognitive dissonance is and how people often deal with it.答案Cognitive Dissonance is a kind of mental discomfort people feel when they experience contradictions between their actions and their beliefs. The professor uses his own experience to illustrate this phenomenon. When he was in high school, he was addicted to video games. He didn’t do well in study and even failed in chemistry. He knew he should study well in order to find good jobs and have a good career. But he just couldn’t give up video games. And this was his conflict. His solution was to change his perspective. Chemistry was the only class he did badly. He was pretty sure that he wanted to be a sociologist and being a sociologist doesn’t need to be well in chemistry. So he reinterpreted his understanding of doing well in school. Initially, he thought he should do well in all subjects to be successful in school. But then, he thought he should only do well in the subjects that are directly related to his future career. So he changed his belief to eliminate the conflict.题目 5. The speakers discuss two possible solutions to the woman’s problem. Briefly summarize the pr oblem. Then state which of the solutions you recommend and explain why.答案The woman won an award and is invited to attend the award ceremony. But her biology exam is scheduled at the same time. So she is struggling about what to do. There are two possible solutions. The first one is that she could write a 5-page paper instead of taking the exam. But she thinks writing a paper will take more time than preparing for and taking an exam. She’s got many other things to do. The second solution is that she could ask someone else to receive the award on her behalf. But her parents were really looking forward to seeing her on the stage. Still, she’s struggling. Well, I would recommend her to choose the first solution. Since she doesn’t want to disappoint her parents, she has to try harder to win the time to attend the ceremony even though it’ll take her more time to write the paper. It's the trade-off.题目6. Using the examples from the talk, explain how persuasive strategies are used in advertising.答案The professor talks about two kinds of persuasive strategies in advertising. The first strategy is repetition. When a slogan is repeated enough times, we tend to believe what the slogan says. The example is a car commercial. A guy is driving around and keeps stopping to pick up different people, each time a narrative says“Plenty of room for friends”,“Plenty of room for family”and so on. If we hear the slogan so many times, we tend to believe the car is spacious even if it’s not. The second strategy is using celebrities. We believe celebrities are trustworthy. For example, in a car commercial, If a famous race-car driver is shown in a car and says“I like my car fast.”, people will believe the car is fast even if it’s actually not a very fast car.。

托福TPO17口语Task4阅读文本:RitualizationSocialbiologists believe that some communicative behavior in animals is developed through a process called ritualization. In this process, the purpose of a given behavior changes over time—a behavior that originally had a practical purpose develops into one that communicates a specific message. For example, a certain movement or physical feature might evolve to serve as a signal or warning that other animals will understand. Once a behavior is ritualized, it becomes a form of communication; therefore, if an animal engages in this behavior, other animals will be able to interpret the meaning o the behavior quickly and respond appropriately.托福TPO17口语Task4听力文本:Listen to part of a lecture on this topic in a zoology class.(man) Let's start with an example you may be familiar with. What's one thing dogs typically do when they feel threatened? They want to protect themselves. That's right, they show their teeth. And when we see this, we know this behavior means basicallyThis scenario, repeated time after time also led to the dog's awareness that simply showing its teeth, a lot of the time that was protection enough. What had been a simple preparation to bite had developed into a kind of defense mechanism in and of itself. The dog learned that it did not need to actually attack; but could get the right result by communicating the possibility of attack through showing its teeth. It started to use this behavioras a warning signal.托福TPO17口语Task4题目:Explain the concept of rituatization using the example of dogs discussed by the professor.托福TPO17口语Task4满分范文:The lecture mainly talks about ritualization, a process by which a practical behavior in animals develops into a communicative one. The professor uses the example of dogs showing their teeth to explain it. Originally, dogs showed their teeth before they were going to bite to avoid biting their own lips. Then other animals learned that dogs always showed their teeth before they bit, so they began to read it as a warning signal and they would stay away the dogs after they saw this. As this happened again and again, the dog realized that it didn't have to bite to protect itself, andshowing teeth is enough to keep other animals away, so they began to use it as a warning signal. This is how the dog showing its teeth has been ritualized. (132 words)以上是给大家整理的托福TPO17口语T ask4阅读文本+听力文本+题目+满分范文,希望对你有所帮助!。
