介绍京剧的故事内容和个人的感想英语作文Peking Opera: Amazing Stories and My ThoughtsHave you ever been to a Peking Opera performance? It's an incredible experience with colorful costumes, amazing singing, and exciting acting! Peking Opera has a long history dating back hundreds of years in China. It combines singing, dancing, martial arts, and acrobatics all into one show. The stories are fascinating too! Let me tell you about some of the popular Peking Opera tales and what I think about them. The Drunken ConcubineOne of the most famous Peking Operas is The Drunken Concubine. It's about a funny situation with the emperor's wife getting drunk on wine. Yang Guifei was one of the Four Beauties from ancient China. She was the favorite concubine or wife of Emperor Xuanzong. One hot summer day, Yang was drinking chilled wine to cool off. She drank a little too much and got really drunk! The emperor scolded her, but she just laughed and danced around acting silly. Some eunuchs (male servants) had to carry the drunken concubine back to her room. I think this story is hilarious! I can just picture the emperor's pretty wife stumblingaround giggling after having too much wine. The costumes and dances in this opera make the tale even funnier. The Monkey King Causes Havoc in HeavenAnother incredibly popular opera is The Monkey King Causes Havoc in Heaven. It's based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. The mischievous Monkey King named Sun Wukong gets jealous that he isn't invited to a huge party in heaven. So he sneaks into the heavenly palace and causes all kinds of chaos! Sun Wukong has amazing martial arts abilities and magic powers like cloud-somersaulting, shape-shifting, and can duplicate himself. The chaos he creates is both funny and incredible with jumping, fighting, and crazy antics on stage. My favorite part is when the Monkey King steals and eats all the precious heavenly peaches that grant immortality! In the end, the Buddha has to step in to control the rambunctious monkey. I love the bright, colorful costumes and the amazing acrobatics in this opera. The Monkey King stories are so entertaining! The Farewell My ConcubineWhile many Peking Operas have funny stories, some are also tragic. The Farewell My Concubine is a very sad tale. It's about two opera brothers, actors who were trained and treated as siblings since childhood. Xueliang is forced to leave the operawhen the dynasty falls. He has to say goodbye to his life as an actor and his "brother" Xiaosheng. In the final scene, Xueliang dresses as the Concubine Yu playing opposite his friend on stage for the last time. There is intense drama and sadness when the "brothers" must part ways forever after the show. This opera shows the deep bond between the two lead actors who were as close as real siblings. It's heartbreaking when they have to separate at the end. Even though it's tragic, the tale is captivating with its focus on loyalty, loss and lifelong friendship. My Personal ThoughtsI find Peking Opera so interesting and unique compared to other performance arts. The movements, singing styles, and richly symbolic costumes are fascinating. It requires so much talent and discipline to be a Peking Opera performer. The actors have to train for years to perfect their singing, dancing, martial arts, and acting abilities all at once! The facial makeup designs are also incredible. The elaborate makeup looks like colorful masks and each color/pattern represents a different character type. Red indicates a loyal person, black is for someone brave and forthright, white shows refinement and pink signifies evil or supernatural beings. The details and symbolism are amazing. While I enjoy the comedy and acrobatics, I also appreciate the meaningful themes explored in Peking Opera like morals, history, and human relationships. Stories of honor, sacrifice, duty and love pull at your heartstrings. The tales give a glimpse into the values, hopes and lives of people in ancient China. Even classic folklore and myths have valuable lessons about virtues like filial piety, integrity and kindness.Overall, Peking Opera is a special and unique art form that has endured for centuries. The stories are wildly entertaining yet also moving and thought-provoking. From the costumes to the music to the dazzling displays of talent, Peking Opera gives you a taste of China's rich cultural traditions. I'm so glad I've had a chance to experience this incredible performance art firsthand. It's definitely opened my eyes to fascinating stories and impressed me with the skills of the amazing opera performers. I can't wait to see more Peking Opera shows!。

My Understanding about Peking Opera Facial Masks
Peking Opera is the cream of Chinese culture. And facial masks can reflect the
qualities of different characters, so facial masks using different colors become an
important way to portray a character. Of course, different styles of the costumes and
colors are used to reflect the status of different characters. But with the development
of our society, more and more people begin to pursue other culture. They even think
that Peking Opera is out-of-style and only suitable for the old. In my point of view,
we should pay more attention to our present traditional Chinese culture, which is also
the basic spirit of our Chinese nation.
In terms of our college students, development of Beijing Opera has more than
200 years of history, which is the accumulation of China's traditional culture and
history, is also the carrier of Chinese traditional culture. Its profound effect deserves

From the view of the culture, Peking Opera itself plays the considerable role of
teaching and spreading. The inheritance and development of Beijing Opera has also
been in perfect for many years. From ancient times to the present, it contains some
educational function, moral concepts and values in ancient China. Courtesy,
righteousness, virtuousness and integrity give us the profound ideological and humane
education. The background of Peking Opera is from the ancientry, such as the
undertaking of an empire or a dynasty, the classic emotional stories and some historic
events, which can get us into it. Into play, we can analyze the age and history with the
heart of doubts and research. Thus, Peking Opera on the knowledge makes us revisit
the past and let us also get the upgrade in ethic and moral. Einstein once said:
‘Physics gives me the knowledge and art gives me the imagination, but the knowledge
is limited and art, which has the rich imagination, is unlimited’, so the cream has a
very high value of appreciation.
Peking Opera is famous as an important way to introduce and spread Chinese
traditional culture, which should be supported by us to some extent. In a word, Peking
Opera facial masks reflect the different characters from different aspects, which
include the costumes, the facial masks, the color, and the culture. In other words, it
plays an important role in our daily life. At the same time, facial masks can widen our
vision from Chinese traditional culture. But more and more people don’t focus on our
traditional culture any more. Instead, they prefer to learn about foreign culture. Facing
the situation, we should do something practical to protect our local culture. And
Pecking Opera is also not only relevant to the old men, which is a culture we should
inherit.
