e.g.What sports can you play？ 你会做什么样的运动？ What book do you want？ 你要什么书？ What movie do you want to see？ 你想看什么电影？ 4．You’re very good at telling stories. [译文]你很擅长讲故事。 be good at意为“擅长”，后跟名词、代词或v. -ing形式。这里的very是副词修饰形容词good，表示“非常擅长”。

e.g.I am good at maths. 我擅长数学。 She is good at art. 她擅长美术。 He isn’t good at drinking. 他不擅长喝酒。 注意：本单元阅读文章里还有这句话：Are you good with old people？意思是“你善于跟老人打交道吗？”。这里be good with sth./sb.表示“善于应付„„的；对„„有办法”。

e.g.The teacher is very good with children. 这位老师对孩子很有一套。 5．Can you play the violin？ [译文]你会拉小提琴吗？ 在英语中，当我们说到演奏某种乐器时一定要在乐器的名称前加上定冠词“the”。 e.g.She can play the piano. 她会弹钢琴。 He can play the trumpet and he can play it very well. 他会吹喇叭而且吹得很好。 Can she play the guitar？ 她会弹吉他吗？ 注意：在球类和棋牌类运动前不用定冠词。 e.g.play basketball 打篮球 play football 踢足球 play cards 打牌；玩扑克 play Chinese chess 下中国象棋 6．They can tell you stories, and you can make friends. [译文]他们会给你讲故事，而且你又可以和他们交朋友。 make friends表示“交朋友”，其中friends常用复数，这个短语还常与介词with连用，make friends with sb.表示“和某人交朋友”。

e.g.She helps me (to) learn English. 她帮我学习英语。 I often help my mom (to) do housework. 我经常帮助我妈妈做家务。 所以，在同义句转换中我们经常用到这两个句型的转换。 e.g.Tom often helps me with my homework. =Tom often helps me to do my homework. =Tom often helps me do my homework. （省略了to） Tom经常帮助我做家庭作业。 拓展： ① help oneself (to sth.)意为“自用（食物等）”。 e.g.Help yourself (to some fish)! （招待客人时）请随便吃（些鱼）！ ② help亦可作名词，意为“帮助”。 e.g.Thank you for all your help. 谢谢你的一切帮助。 Can you give me some help？ 你能给我一些帮助吗？ Do you need any help？ 你需要帮助吗？ ③ with the help of意为“在„„的帮助下”。 e.g.He can stop smoking with the help of his family and friends. 在家人和朋友的帮助下，他能够戒烟。 （2）English-speaking是由English和speaking两个词合并构成的一个形容词，表示“说英语的”。
