《死亡诗社》英文影评及观后感Carpe Diem! Many of us are losing ourselves because of the reality, frustration, the pressure or the authority. In fact, we are just like a chess, for others have arranged all for you. We spend a lot of time in those things we do not like. However, we are immature. We choose silence or choose to force ourselves to like it. We ourselves never dare to say "NO" loud, or never master our life in our hand.Perhaps, you will defend for yourself, "This is no other way to do "; Perhaps you will say, "Now that everything looks the same, can I be unique "; Perhaps you will say, "This is the reality, and no one can beat it"; perhaps, very likely, you will become one of them and establish the authority of parents to educate your children. You have become a loyal defender of authority. There is an old golden Chinese saying: No one can exist who resists me .However, all in all, cannot it change?《Dead Poets Society》tells me that nothing is impossible. At that time, nothing is more important than yielding. What you have to do is to obey discipline and authority. To Rebel means no good results. In that old church school, in the solemn opening ceremony, taught by an old-fashioned and strict teacher, with the hope of the parents who have paved the road for them, they lose themselves. That "Tradition” "honor" "discipline "" excellence " quells them.“Oh, captain, my captain! Where are you?”1Carpe Diem!Fortunately, they met with Mr Keating. To help more young people to find his own, Mr Keating chose teaching. He taught students to live. Students set up "Dead Poets Society" to release themselves. He taught students not to blindly comply with authority. He asked each one to tear up the wrong page that others take as authority. He encouraged the students to listen to the sound of heart. Then Knox read love poems to a girl, expressed his love bravely. He encouraged the students to see the world with a new vision. He let everyone stand on a chair to watch the world. He helped students overcome psychological barriers. And then Todd finally dared to express himself in front of everyone. Also, finally, It was he who first stood up and told the truth.Oh, captain, my captain. We are so lucky to have you. Because of you, we lead a new life from now on.I was impressed by the scene. Finally, students stood one by one on the desk to speak for Mr. Keating. Though Mr. Keating would not be back again, his impact on students will exist forever.I think that their life will certainly become unusual and significant from now on.I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, I wanted to 2Carpe Diem!live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, and not when I had come to die, discovered that I had not lived. To me,seize all to find out the meaning of life and one day the world will be different because of you.3第二篇:《死亡诗社》影评 2000字《死亡诗社》观后感在教育电影的心灵史的课堂上看了很多有关教育的电影,也倾听了许多老师同学对这些电影的感悟,我觉得收益颇多,也感悟颇多。

ReviewofThefilmDeathPoetsSociety死亡诗社影评第一篇:Review of The film Death Poets Society死亡诗社影评Seize Everyday and Learn How to Think-----Review of The film Death Poets Society Everyone as an individual seems extremely small in the pared with human history which stems from ancient time and appears endless, a person with a very short life cycle is just like a fleeting meteor in the universe. However, once a person comes to the world, he bears his own value, no matter how little it is.In the film Death Poets Society, Mr.Keating, instructing students to appreciate poetry in a special way, once quoted the Latin phrase Carpe Diem which means seize the day to teach his students to cherish every day.He is inclined to tell his students that life is as short as flower bosom, but life is full of sunshine and hope and that they ordinary people should believe in themselves and make efforts to realize life value in their limited lifetime. He is the teacher who not only teaches knowledge on how to read poets, but also gives his students confidence and courage to think deeply from their bottom of heart what is life and how to face life. The film finally ends with an astonishing tragedy when the student Neil who couldn’t achieve his dream by his father’s opposition committed suicide and Mr.Keating was fired by the school.I think every educator should watch the ironical film which bears profound meaning. Some people may argue that people are educated just for the sake of getting knowledge.Yet in my eyes, education means teaching students how to think, because the eventual objective of obtaining knowledge by students is to form a sort of attitude or value towards life, including how to deal with pressure, problems and cation meansdeveloping students’ imagination and creativity and teaching them to hold their different perspectives on the world. It appears that education in China has not yet completely achieved the substantial goal of real education.Students in China have to go through countless tests when they enter schools and fight in fierce peer competition for admission of key schools or universities.Hence, teachers emphasize more on the score results of children, thus making so called test-oriented education. Moreover, nowadays some irresponsible teachers who can’t set good example for their students, let alone their ability to teach thinking skills finally lead to student crimes or unhealthy mental growth.Since teachers play such influential roles during students’ growth and thoughts, there is still large space for improvement of Chinese teachers’ qualification.Personally, I think teaching method has a great impact on how well students can learn and teaching in a practical way is more efficient for me.For instance, my chemistry teacher once ignited my extreme interest in chemistry, for she often instructed us to make plenty of experiments to substantiate some chemistry theories rather than just tell us fixed chemistry conclusions.Furthermore, my Chinese teacher in middle school once assigned us to write a composition on snow, he took us to have a happy snowball fight in the playground, making the topic more interesting to write. To conclude, we hope that more and more teachers who can truly teach students how to think and inspire their interests in learning will appear in the prospective educational road.

First of all, this is movie is my all-time favorite, out of all the hundreds of films I have seen. However, every time I mention this film, I have to answer most people"s quizzical looks with It"s a beautiful little 80s film that stayed in the 80s. After seeing it for the 24th time since I first saw it 5 years ago, on my 13th birthday, I can gladly say that this movie went far and beyond the80s, and the power and inspiration of the message can be felt every day.Dead Poets Society is a most underrated film by a most underrated director whose inspiring, uplifting and moral tales firmly grounded in reality are not nearly as appreciated as they should be. Here, we see one of his very personal and cradled projects, and he shows the visualstyle and concentration on characters in which he is so affluent. His control of the camera and the characters are very b and very smooth. The cinematography is near perfect, with every shot, along with the editing, seamless. Also very pelling are the color-tones in every scene, perfectly matching the mood and events of the scene. Could you say this is art? Absolutely. Then we have the performances. Robin Williams continues in stride as one who has to-date remained the most touching, heart-wrenching, awe-inspiring edians with inarguableacting talent (he still remains my most favorite performer on the film screen)。

死亡诗社400字观后感英文

死亡诗社观后感英语作文1I recently watched the movie "Dead Poets Society" and was deeply moved by it. The film depicted a group of students at a strict boarding school who found liberation and inspiration in poetry under the guidance of an unconventional teacher. One of the most touching scenes was when the students gathered in the cave to recite poetry. In that dimly lit space, surrounded by nature's embrace, their voices rang out with passion and longing for freedom and dreams. It was as if they had entered a world beyond the mundane, where the power of words could break the chains of convention. The protagonist's journey also struck a chord within me. His struggle against the rigid educational system and his determination to follow his heart made me reflect on the true purpose of education. Should it merely mold students into a pre-defined mold or should it encourage them to think independently, to pursue their passions, and to embrace their individuality? This film has made me realize that education should be a journey of self-discovery and growth. It should not suppress creativity and the spirit of exploration but rather ignite the fire within each student to reach for the stars. The story of "Dead Poets Society" will remain etched in my mind, constantly reminding me to cherish the freedom to dream and to have thecourage to pursue them.2After watching the movie "Dead Poets Society", I was deeply moved and inspired. The film presented a unique teaching style of the teacher, which made me reflect on my ideal educational model. The teacher in the movie encouraged students to think independently, to pursue their passions, and to break free from the shackles of conventional thinking. This reminded me of the current education system that often focuses too much on grades and standardized tests, ignoring the cultivation of students' creativity and individuality. I dream of an education where teachers inspire students to explore their interests and talents, rather than simply stuffing them with knowledge. One particular scene that struck me was when a student, under the teacher's influence, bravely pursued his love for acting despite the opposition from his parents. This made me realize that we should have the courage to follow our hearts and choose the path that truly makes us happy, even if it goes against the expectations of others. The movie "Dead Poets Society" has not only entertained me but also made me think deeply about education and the choices we make in life. It has taught me to be brave in the face of challenges and to hold on to my dreams. When I watched "Dead Poets Society", it was like a powerful wave crashing into the shore of my heart, leaving an indelible mark on my values. The film depicted a profound friendship among the students that made me realize the true meaning of friendship. It was not just about having someone to talk to or play with, but about standing by each other through thick and thin. Just like Neil, Todd, and their friends, they supported and understood one another, facing the challenges of school and life together. This made me cherish my friends around me even more, and I started to be more attentive to their needs and feelings. Moreover, the film's portrayal of the courageous spirit greatly inspired me to confront the difficulties in my life. Neil's determination to pursue his passion for acting despite his father's opposition taught me that we should never give up on our dreams easily. I recalled the times when I was hesitant to take on new challenges, such as participating in a difficult competition or speaking in public. However, after watching this film, I gathered my courage and stepped forward, believing that I could overcome any obstacles. In conclusion, "Dead Poets Society" has not only entertained me but also transformed my perspective on life. It has made me a more empathetic friend and a braver individual, ready to embrace the uncertainties of the future with an open heart and a resolute spirit. When I finished watching "Dead Poets Society", I was deeply moved and couldn't help but think a lot. The film presents a sharp contrast between the educational environment depicted and the reality we often encounter. In the movie, the students were encouraged to think independently and pursue their passions freely. However, in the current educational landscape, we often find that students are burdened with heavy academic tasks and lack the space to explore their true interests.Take the character Neil for example. His love for acting was suppressed by his parents' expectations and societal norms. This made me reflect on how often social rules confine an individual's potential and prevent them from breaking through to pursue their dreams. We are constantly told to follow a certain path, to meet specific standards, but is this really the best way for everyone? The film reminds us that we should not be bound by conventional thinking and should have the courage to chase our hearts. It urges us to question the status quo and strive for a more liberated and individualized educational environment. Only by allowing students to develop their unique talents and passions can we truly cultivate creative and passionate individuals who can make significant contributions to society.Overall, "Dead Poets Society" is not just a film but a thought-provoking mirror that reflects the problems and possibilities of educationand individual growth in our society.5The film "Dead Poets Society" has left an indelible mark on my soul. The cinematography of this movie is truly masterful. The use of soft lighting and panoramic shots creates an atmosphere that is both enchanting and melancholic. For instance, the scene in the forest at night, illuminated by the moonlight, not only showcases the beauty of nature but also intensifies the sense of mystery and adventure. The music in the film plays a crucial role in enhancing emotional expression. The gentle piano notes during the poignant moments and the uplifting strings during the moments of inspiration perfectly complement the storyline. It is as if the music is an invisible hand, guiding our emotions along with the plot. The performances of the actors are nothing short of outstanding. Robin Williams' portrayal of Mr. Keating is a masterpiece. His every gesture, every expression, and every word breathe life into the character. He makes Mr. Keating not just a figure on the screen but a mentor who walks into our hearts. The students' performances are also commendable, their growth and transformation are vividly presented, making us feel as if we are part of their journey. In conclusion, "Dead Poets Society" is not just a film; it is a profound exploration of youth, dreams, and the power of art. It reminds us to seizethe day and follow our hearts, no matter how difficult the path may be.。

死亡诗社英文影评Dead Poets Society(When I saw one of the pupils choose death to put an end to the conflict between his dream and the reality which is attached by his father. It’s a heart-attack forme. I can feel his deep sorry in his inner world. We are always struggling, especially when your dream does not be in line with the reality. )The pupils at a boys’ school are inspired by theiridiosyncratic English teacher. Robin Williams and Ethan Hawke star Peter Weir was on pretty shaky ground when he made Dead Poets Society. Coming on the back of his unsuccessful adaptation of Paul Theroux’s . The Mosquito Coast, the success or otherwise of Weir’s school drama spelt the difference between continued employment in America for the director or a spot on the next boat back to Australia. That Dead Poets Society was a huge hit with both audiences and critics had only so much to do with Tom Schulman’s Oscar-winning screenplay. The tale of a band of public schoolboys (including Robert Sean Leonard’s would-be actor, Josh Charles Lothario, andEthan Hawke’s shy new boy) who have their horizons broadened by John Keating, an English teacher (Williams), Dead Poets Society excelsin its approach to the material. Williams over-playing has ruined many a movie, but here his too-much style suits a man who sees that, for theseover-schooled kids, the imagination represents an undiscovered country. The boys also manage to put real meat on the bones of their clichéd characters. Hawke, in particular, brings both humor and realvulnerab ility to his young outsider Todd. He’s certainly a lot better thanLeonard who seems to have confused playing a boy with stageambitions with a need to ladletheatricality upon his own performance.Of course, Dead Poets Society is a tad overwrought at times - the ending, in particular, seems to alienate as many people as it moves. Nevertheless, Weir"s film wonderfully evokes the magic of someoneopening the doors of a new world. It’s also a devastatingreminder of the agony that follows when those doors are slammed shut.Course: Oral English Teacher: Teacher Meng Student : Zhangbin Number: 09083812。

Life is there for us to enjoyAfter watching the movie Dead Poets Society, my eyes were full of tears. What could not be removed from my heart is that these young men finally learned the way to look at things from different ways from Mr. Keating. Seize the day, when you notice this point, it is never too late to start to do something. In Welton School, four pillars were set for the students to obey: tradition, hour, discipline, excellence. But what the school leaders performed left them an image as hypocrisy, and the school like a place of hell. Not until the day John Keating came, did they find some new meaning of life. I still remember on Keating's first class, one boy copied every sketch Keating drew on the blackboard, and then was told all that was nonsense. Keating told them to rip off the very page about theory on poetry, which may restrain their free thought about poetry. Then standing on the desk, he showed the young men they could look at things from different angles."Carpe Diem, seize the day, boys, make your life extraordinary.” In order to make them realize the true meaning of life, Keating disguised as one of the precursors on the picture, whispering to them. When I heard this sentence, I began to think about my own life. Being a senior student faced with graduation, we are pushed to believe that every second is a inseparable part of life to become a step near to success. That is to say, for almost every one of us, to seize the day means to be successful, it is same with me. Not until a piece of news on the Internet shocked me some other day—Kaifu Lee found himself suffering from cancer. In my eyes, he is always positive, ready to give job hunters tips for searching jobs. What's more, I took for granted that such a person could live a happy and healthy life. The truth is that I was wrong.Hence, I have been reconsidering about life. To pursue success on career is one kind of passion, but life is not only made up of fame and profit, there aremany other things for us to do, such as find a job you are interested with. Thus, a task is finished, though you may feel a little tired, you are filled with joy as well.To seize the day, not only means to make full use of time,to become successful, but to live a meaningful life. When we grow old, we will not regret that nothing has been done, and will thank ourselves for the passion we once had.Neil committed suicide when he is forced to obey what his parents had arranged for him. Failed to find the reason, the school leaders believed it is Keating's fault. Keating had to quit the job. Back to the classroom to pack his baggage, the boys could not help to show their respect to Mr. Keating in the way their captain taught them. The young men finally learned how to look at things in different ways, to solve problems in free will. There are certain films that can touch our hearts,Dead Poets Society is such a film which can make us know about how important free will means, and to think over our own life. We could get the same courage when we saw Todd overcome the fear and dared to express his ideas in the front of the class. Finally he told the girl who had boyfriend that he loved her so much, and wrote her a poet. Everyone of us has our inner side, what we lack of is confidence and courage to break out of the traditional ideology and to find a new self.Dead Poets Society was a group of young men John Keating set up when he also attended Welton School. To John Keating poem is like his life, so he founded a group with his partners in which they could express their ideas. Thoreau said in Walden:"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to livedeep and suck out all the marrow of life.T o put to rout all that was not life, and not, when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived."It is good for one like Mr. Keating know what he himself wants to do,same with everyone of us. Whatever the results are, when you do something your heart told you, you will not regret in the future. We are dust, and we will go back to it, so we have precious little time to make a difference. That we have a moral obligation to"seize the day, and make our lives extraordinary".In daily life, being independent in thought is critical in making a society progress gradually. It is what matters most for every one of us, for the nation.Once a person's thought become independent, can he perceive the world actively, and gets to know himself better. As a modern college student, I told myself over and over again that I want to live with a soul, but not one day regret of wasting time all my life. Just as it is said, life is so far to continue, I would rather do something to make myself happy every day than be sad if something bad happened.Life is there for us to search, pack up and be ready to enjoy the sceneries along the roadsides. What is better for us youth is that, our parents and teachers are more open-minded. We are free to do something as we like. This is a democratic era for people to search his soul, to live a better life. Being a part of the human race, you never know what the limit of your potential is. In a democratic society, do as your heart tells you is the process of enjoying life is best way to live a happy life. It is also what Mr. Keating want the young men to do in the film.。
