四、 always的否定式：\"并非总是（并非一直）……\" 例如： He is not always so sad. 他并不是一直都这样悲伤。
五、 entirely, altogether, completely 和quite 的否定式：“不完全……”， “并非完全……” 例如：

❖ 如要对上述的all, both, every, always, 以及entirely, altogether, completely, quite 和 all the time 等词作完全否定， 那就分别要用与之相对应的全否定词，如no, none, neither, no one, never, not (never)… at all 等。例如：
Both are good.---Neither is good.

在收据尚未签字以前不得付款。

按照汉语的习惯可以说“在……没有…… 以前”，但是这种说法在英语中不合乎习 惯，上句如果译成 “Before the receipt has not been signed, …” 就使人无法理解 了。
中习惯从反面表达；有些从反面来表
达的意思在汉语中则习惯从正面来表 达。
如英语中的 “Wet Paint！”，汉语中 却说 “油漆未干”，英语中说“Don’t stop working. ”汉语中却说“继续干活 吧。”
因此，英汉翻译时常常有必要进行转 换。这就是通常所说的反译法。

形容词(词组) : 英语中有不少形容词(词 组) , 肯定的形式暗含着否定概念, 汉译时 用反译法译成否定句。常见的有absent (from) , empty of, free, far from , ignorant of, innocent, different (from) , least, lost, reluctant, short of, vacant, hard, devoid of, other than, foreign to 等。 第27页/共40页

英语中否定表现法是指用于表示否定的词语、短语、句型或者语法结构。
