学生答对问题时,要说:“very good. thank you.”

例如在小学五年级的课本learn to say中有这样一幅画面,我让学生去观察,再联想,然后,读懂了下面一段话:i have no arms and no hands,but i have four legs and a back,i can stand,but i can’t walk,what am i?

如初一教材第七单元how much are these pants?

1Title: Making English Fun for Middle Schoolers!Hi friends! Today I want to talk about learning English in middle school. I know it can be really hard and boring sometimes. But I have some fun ideas to make it more interesting and enjoyable! The first tip is to find movies, TV shows, books, or music that you love in English. Maybe you're really into superheroes or fantasy stories. Or perhaps you prefer comedies or dramas. Whatever you like, try watching or reading it in English! You'll learn new words and get exposed to the language in a fun way. My favorite is watching Harry Potter movies with English subtitles. I've learned tons of vocabulary from those!Another great idea is to start a English language hobby. Do you like sports? Well, lots of people around the world play basketball, soccer, baseball and more in English. Learn the words for equipment, moves, rules and you can play too! Or if sports aren't your thing, how about gaming? Soooo many cool videogames use English. You could join an online gaming community to chat and play with people from everywhere. My buddy Mark learned tons of English from playing Fortnite with kids in the US and UK!If you're more of an artistic person, listen to English music and try learning the lyrics. Music helps words stick in your brain in a catchy way. You can also watch art tutorials, DIY videos, or anything crafty in English on YouTube. One of my classmates is obsessed with baking shows and bread making videos - she can bake in English now!For us little kids, it's also really helpful to find some cool English learning games, apps, podcasts or audiobooks. I personally love this vocabulary app called Drops where you match words to pictures - it's like Candy Crush but educational! My English teacher also reads aloud from the Harry Potter audiobooks sometimes which is awesome.Speaking of teachers, make sure you have a good relationship with your English teachers! Don't be afraid to ask questions or get extra help. The more you engage and participate, the more interested and motivated you'll become. My English teacher is the best - he's always cracking jokes and playing fun review games to make it interactive. One of the most important things is to have an English friend or learning partner! Whether it's someone from your school, an online pal, or even a relative who speaks English - having conversations is key to getting comfortable with the language. You can teach each other new slang, idioms and phrases. I video chat every week with my aunt in New Zealand. She's been super helpful for practicing my English skills!Last but not least, set yourself goals and rewards to stay motivated. Like if you read one English book, you can buy yourself a treat. Or once you hit a vocabulary milestone, plan a fun activity like going to see an English movie. Having things to work towards makes it way more gratifying. My personal aim is to be fluent by the time we take that big exam in 9th grade! So those are my tips for middle schoolers learning English - find entertaining English content you enjoy, start a language hobby, play games and use apps, be active in class, make English friends, and set goals to work towards. If you make it fun and interesting for yourself, English won't feel like such a chore anymore. You'll be chatting, reading and writing like a pro in no time! Let me know if any of these ideas help you get more excited about English. It's an awesome language to know!篇2How Middle School Kids Can Get Really Good At EnglishHey there! My name is Jenny and I'm a 5th grader. My big sister Sarah is in 8th grade and she's really good at English. I want to be just like her when I get to middle school, so I asked her how she got so interested in learning English. Here's what she told me:First off, English is super important nowadays. Like, you can't just know your own language if you want to get a cool job or travel the world someday. English is spoken in tons of countries and is used for business, science, computers, entertainment - basically everything! So getting good at it from a young age is key.Sarah said the first thing she did to get into English was read, read, read! Books, magazines, websites, you name it. But not just boring textbooks or stuff written specifically for learning English. She read things she was actually interested in - fantasy novels, celebrity gossip mags, fashion blogs, you get the idea. That made it way more fun than just staring at a textbook. She looked up words she didn't know, tried reading out loud to practice her pronunciation, and just overall surrounded herself with as much English as possible outside of class. Oh, and watching movies and shows in English helped a ton too! Sarah isobsessed with superhero films, so she started watching those without subtitles to train her listening skills.Another big thing was finding ways to actually use English, not just learn about it. Sarah joined the English Drama Club so she could practice speaking and acting. She also started a pen pal correspondence with a girl in Australia to work on her writing skills. Getting chances to really apply what she was learning made English feel useful and not just some academic subject.Music was a huge motivator too. Sarah is always jamming out to pop songs by English singers and looking up lyrics. Listening to songs on repeat somehow made vocab and grammar stick in her brain better. She said the rhymes and rhythms made even complicated stuff easier to remember.Games were also key - Sarah played tons of English app games and online quizzes that reinforced concepts in a fun, competitive way. Way better than just doing workbook pages over and over. There are so many cool English learning games out there now that almost make you forget you're studying. The biggest thing though? Sarah realized English can be a total self-confidence booster. Knowing another global language meant she could communicate with more people, understand different cultures, and just feel sm篇3How Can Middle Schoolers Get Excited About English Class?Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm a 5th grader. Today I want to talk to you middle school kids about learning English. I know some of you may think English is really boring and hard. But trust me, it can actually be a lot of fun if you put your mind to it! Let me share some tips on how to get interested in English.First of all, don't think of English as just another boring school subject. English opens up a whole new world of cool movies, video games, music, books and more! My older brother is really into superhero movies like Avengers and he says the English versions are way better than the dubbed ones. That's because a lot of the jokes and fun moves don't translate perfectly into other languages. If you want to fully experience awesome English entertainment, you gotta learn the real English.Another reason to love English is that it helps you make friends all over the world! These days, kids everywhere are into the same games, YouTubers, memes and trends. But most of that online stuff is in English. If your English isn't good, you'll miss out on so many jokes and conversations. My parents are from China and they barely know any English slang or memes. It's kinda sad!I'd hate to be out of the loop like that as a teenager. Learn English now so you can connect with the global internet culture.Speaking of internet culture, English skills can also help you make money online in the future! Lots of employers these days need people with solid English writing and speaking abilities for online jobs. You could be a YouTuber, video game streamer, freelance writer, translator or all sorts of cool gigs. The online world is just getting bigger and bigger and English is totally the main language. Mastering it gives you an advantage. Now let me get more specific on how to actually get interested in English itself, not just the reasons why it's useful. The main thing is to make it fun, not just boring textbook work. Find English music, podcasts, games or anything else you think is cool and use them as learning tools. Like, I'm obsessed with this Spanish singer named Rosalia right now. I've been looking up lyrics to her English songs and translating them from Spanish. It's helping my English vocabulary so much but it doesn't even feel like studying! You can do the same with anything you're a fan of - watch gameplay videos in English for your favorite games, find subreddits for your hobbies and read the English posts, or listen to podcasts about subjects you're interested in. The more youturn English into something fun related to your interests, the easier it'll be to stay motivated.Another idea is to find a language partner to practice with. This could be a friend from another country or even just a classmate who's also trying to improve their English. Having a regular practice pal makes conversations way more natural than just reading from a textbook. You can take turns coming up with fun topics to discuss or describe shows/movies you're watching then talk about them in English. It's like chilling with your friend, but leveling up your skills! For writing practice, keeping a journal or doing penpal letters can be really helpful. Describing your own thoughts and experiences is great for building more natural self-expression. Penpal sites can connect you with students anywhere to safely exchange letters for free. Making an online friend this way definitely makes writing feel more purposeful than just turning in a random essay to your teacher. The key thing is, English shouldn't be this separate subject that's disconnected from everything else you're interested in. It's a tool that lets you access so much amazing stuff online and around the world. So use it for that! Let yourself get curious about English music, books, games and media. That naturalinterest and enjoyment will push you to improve way more than just wanting good grades. At the end of the day, a positive mindset is what matters most. The more you tell yourself, "English is dull and torturous," the truer that will become. Butyou have just as much power to change that inner voice to, "English is opening up my world and creating new opportunities." When you appreciate its value and embrace it with excitement, studying English becomes so much more rewarding and fun.So that's my advice, middle schoolers! Find ways to blend English into your existing hobbies and social life. Use it to connect to cool stuff you're already passionate about online and offline. Stay positive and keep an open, adventurous mindset about mastering this incredibly useful world篇4Title: Fun Ways to Love Learning English!Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm going to share some awesome tips that helped me get really interested in learning English. I know it can seem hard at first, but trust me, once you get into it, English can be super fun and cool! The first thing that made English class way more exciting for me was reading awesome stories and comics in English. My teacher would give us short stories, jokes, and even comic strips to read. Instead of just boring textbook passages, we got to read about superheroes, funny situations, and wild adventures! I remember this one comic about a talking dog who could speak multiple languages - it was so funny and made me want to learn more English to understand all the jokes.Another thing that really helped was listening to English songs and watching movies or shows in English. My parents let me watch some kid-friendly English shows and movies, and I was able to pick up lots of common English phrases and expressions that way. Singing along to the theme songs and repeating funny lines from the shows made practicing English feel like playtime instead of studying. The colors, visuals, and jokes made it stick in my brain so much better. My English teacher also made learning grammar rules fun by turning them into games and competitions. Sometimes she would split the class into teams and we would compete to be the first to correctly identify parts of speech, verb tenses, or other grammar concepts as she showed examples on the board. Other times, we would do quiz games where we had to buzz in firstwith the right answer about apostrophes, plurals, and the like. Winning points and little prizes made me get really engaged instead of zoning out during grammar lessons. What also kept me motivated were the chances to be creative using English. We got to write and perform our own short skits and dialogues, which let us practice conversational English in a low-pressure way while being silly and funny. My teacher also had us write poetry, journals, and short stories sometimes which made English feel more like an expressive language and not just an academic subject.Last but not least, I loved when we did hands-on projects and activities connected to English lessons. For example, when learning vocabulary related to food, we actually got to make simple snacks and drinks while practicing the words. Or when studying words about outdoor activities, we went on a nature walk and played vocabulary games along the trail. Using English in a more interactive, physical way made it easier to understand and remember. So those are some of the key things that helped me develop a genuine interest in learning English instead of treating it like a chore or boring subject. The more creative, engaging, and fun the lessons and activities were, the more I looked forward toEnglish class. I also think it's so important for learning ANY language to experience it through stories, media, games, and real-life situations - not just textbooks and grammar drills. If your English teachers get creative and make lessons interactive and entertaining, you just might start to love learning English too! It opens up so many opportunities to enjoy books, movies, music, and amazing experiences from cultures all around the world. Who knows, you may even discover a new passion or hidden talent by exploring the English language. Just keep an open mind, get engaged, and don't be afraid to practice speaking it as much as you can. Before you know it, English will go from a challenging class to your favorite subject!篇5Title: My Big Sis Learns English in a Fun Way!My big sister is in middle school now. She used to not like learning English at all. She would groan and complain whenever she had English homework or an English test was coming up. But this year, something changed and now she actually enjoys learning English! At first, I was really confused about why she had such a big change. English is still English, right? The textbooks are the same, the vocabulary lists are the same, the grammar rules are the same. So why did she start liking it so much? After pestering her for weeks, she finally spilled the beans. It turns out her English teacher this year, Mr. Robinson, has a totally different way of teaching English compared to her previous teachers. Instead of just making them read from textbooks and do worksheets, he makes English class fun and interactive! One thing my sister said he does is play lots of English games and activities in class. For example, they'll have vocabulary competitions where the class is split into teams and they race to put new words into sentences the quickest. Or they'll play English Pictionary or Charades to practice using words in context. He also has them do little skits and role-plays to practice conversational English.Another thing Mr. Robinson does is relate English to things middle schoolers actually care about. For example, when learning idioms, he uses idioms from movies, TV shows, songs, and games that are popular with kids their age. He also has them analyze lyrics of modern English songs to learn things like grammar points and rhyming schemes. My sister also told me that instead of just giving them boring reading assignments from their textbook, Mr. Robinson lets them pick out books, magazines, websites, and other reading materials that actually interest them. As long as it's appropriate English reading material, he lets them read what they want. Then they discuss and analyze what they read in class.Mr. Robinson also puts a big emphasis on English media and pop culture. He has the class watch clips from English movies, TV shows, YouTube videos, and listen to English songs and podcasts. Then they discuss the language used, any cultural references, and what they think the deeper meaning is. My sister says this makes English feel a lot more relevant and alive than just learning it from a textbook. And get this - Mr. Robinson even has game time in class sometimes! He'll have them play English video games, board games, or card games in small groups and they have to use English to play and strategize. Can you believe that? Getting to play games as part of learning English? My mind was blown when my sister told me about that.Lastly, Mr. Robinson makes use of technology in really engaging ways. He has the students make videos of themselves speaking English and critiquing each other. They also havevideoconference conversations with English speakers from other countries. And he has them use apps and websites to learn English through things like news articles, podcasts, and social media. It makes English feel very modern and connected to the real world. After hearing all this from my sister, I can completely understand why she went from dreading English class to legitimately enjoying it and wanting to learn more. The way Mr. Robinson teaches makes English feel fun, creative, interactive, relevant to their lives, and very different from just doing bookwork and grammar drills. No wonder she got so into it!I'm just in elementary school now, but I really hope I get an English teacher as awesome and innovative as Mr. Robinson when I get to middle school. Learning a language through games, media, technology, and student-picked materials just sounds so much more engaging than the old-fashioned way. If the teachers could make other subjects as fun and interactive as Mr. Robinson does with English, I bet more students would love learning overall.I'm really proud of how much progress my sister has made with her English this year. She's gone from barely being able to put a basic sentence together to having whole conversationswithout too much trouble. I think all her newfound interest, motivation, and courage to use English more comes from how Mr. Robinson made English feel like something to embrace rather than a chore to dread. I'll definitely be borrowing some of his cool ideas when it's my turn to start serious English learning!篇6How Middle School Students Can Develop an Interest in Learning EnglishHey there, friends! Today, I want to share some super cool tips on how you can get really excited about learning English when you're in middle school. Trust me, it's not as boring or difficult as you might think!First of all, let's talk about why learning English is so important. You might be wondering, "But I already speak my native language fluently, so why do I need to learn another one?" It's not just about memorizing boring grammar rules and vocabulary lists. There are so many creative and interesting ways to learn English that will make you feel like you're playing instead of studying! One of my favorite ways to learn English is by listening to music. English songs are the best! Not only do they help you learn new words and phrases, but they're also super catchy and fun to sing along to. You can even learn some cool dance moves while you're at it!Another awesome way to practice English is by playing video games or watching cartoons and movies in English. It's like getting to enjoy your favorite forms of entertainment while secretly learning at the same time. Sneaky, right? If you're more of a reader, try picking up some English books, comics, or magazines that interest you. Reading about topics you're passionate about, like sports, animals, or superheroes, will make learning English feel like a breeze. Plus, you'll get to expand your vocabulary and improve your reading skills at the same time! But don't forget about the power of technology! There are so many cool apps, websites, and online games that can make learning English interactive and engaging. You can practice your speaking skills by having conversations with language learning buddies from around the world, or play fun educational games that will help you remember new words and phrases without even realizing it.And if you ever feel stuck or frustrated, don't be afraid to ask your English teacher or classmates for help. They're there to support you and make sure you're having fun while learning. You can even form study groups with your friends and come up with creative ways to practice together, like acting out dialogues or playing language learning games.Remember, the key to developing an interest in learning English is to find activities and resources that excite you and make learning feel like a fun adventure, rather than a chore. So, embrace your curiosity, stay motivated, and don't be afraid to try new things!Learning English can open up a whole new world of opportunities, friendships, and experiences for you. So, what are you waiting for? Let's get started on this exciting journey together!。

如:在讲到音意兼译的绝妙好词talk show(脱口秀)、cool(酷)、fee(费)、clone(克隆)等时,我们可以给学生讲最早的音译方法:sofa(沙发)、model(模特)、coffee(咖啡)、chocolate(巧克力)等。

教师要在课堂教学中要始终贯穿如:“good.”“yes.”“don’t be shy.”“be brave.”
“you are very clever”“ ok.that’s a good idea.thank you.”“not bad ”“try again.don’t worry”“try your best.”“i believe you”等等一些鼓励性的语言来增加学生回答问题的信心.

如果我们能在英语课堂上多说“thank you ”、“great”、“well done”、“wonderful”、“i’m proud of you !”“perfect”“excellent”等课堂用语,这些表情话语往往会给学生带来很多成功的喜悦,从
而不断强化他们参与的信心。

评价错误时我也经常使用建议性的、易接受的、委婉的表达方式:would you like to think it
over?/work harder, and i’m sure you can do better next time. 等这些语言使很多学生重树了信心。

作业中我也注意使用积极的评语,大大地促进了师生情感的沟通,除了打上等第还要尽量写些评语,如:“your handwriting is wonderful!”“you are creative, but why not be more careful next time?”“ failure is mother of success.”“try again and again, and you will catch up with others.”
