My favorite part was touring Stanley Park and seeing the totem poles carved by Native artists. They were huge and so detailed!After Vancouver, we drove out to the Rocky Mountains in Alberta. That's where we went hiking, canoeing on bright blue glacier lakes, and saw some wildlife up close. One morning we spotted a big grizzly bear eating berries just off the trail! Our guide had us make loud noises by banging our hiking poles so the bear would move along. I was a little scared but also excited to see a real grizzly. We also saw elk, bighorn sheep, and evenspotted a wolf pack in the distance through binoculars. TheRockies were just gorgeous with the craggy gray peaks, forests, and waterfalls. We stayed in some fun mountain lodges too.On the way back home, we stopped in Seattle for a couple days. We went up in the Space Needle which had this rotating glass floor that looked straight down - I got a little dizzy! The Museum of Pop Culture was really cool with exhibits on musicians, movies, and video games. We also took a tour of the underground city underneath Seattle's streets which was built after the city kept flooding in the 1800s.
