讲解其余生词，反复领读，到学生初步掌握为止。

四、难点讲解1．He lives in a tall building in the city of Toronto. 他住在多伦多城中的一座高楼里。
英语中表示地点时，要由小到大排列。
例如：Jim’s family is from London, England. 吉姆一家来自英国伦敦。
2．He lives on the fifteenth floor. 他住在第十五层。
住在某一层，介词用on，并使用序数词。
3．There are eighteen floors in the building. 楼房中有十八层。
在上述句子中，使用了there +be的句型，表示“存在”。
第三十八课中，有这样一句：How many floors does the building have? 这座楼共有多少层？句中使用了动词have，表示“有”。
通常情况下，there + be与have是有区别的：其一，句式不同。
there +be是一种特殊结构，主语需后置；而have (has) 前面要有主语。
其二，从意义上讲，there + be表示“存在”，而have (has) 则表示“所有，拥有”。
例如：There are two children in the room. 房间里有两个孩子（表示存在）。
Mr Green has two children. 格林先生有两个孩子（表示所有）。
现在再看本课中这句与第三十八课中的一句，虽都是表明楼房有多少层，但侧重点不同，两句的主语也不同。
但从意义上讲，第三十八课中的句子可以用there +be形式改写：How many floors does the building have? =How many floors are there in the building?然而，多数情况下，there + be与have (has) 是不能互换的。
4．He uses a lift to go up and down. 他使用电梯上上下下。
动词不定式短语to go up and down是状语，修饰前面的句子。
up and down还可以表示“来来回回”。
例如：He walks up and down. 他来回地走。
5．Why doesn’t he use the lift for the last three floors? 他为什么最后三层不用电梯了呢？对于这个特殊疑问句的回答，学生是要动脑筋的。
教师设计答案时，应考虑到学生的接受能力。

例如：Her name ×××．She is twelve／thirteen，She is In Row 5 and her number is 14．She is tall．She has long hair，and her hair is black．Her eyes are big and black．Her mouth is small．She has long arms and legs．She is wearing…She likes singing very much．She can draw pictures，too…与此同时，可让该学生本人以第一人称形式，利用上述内容，来描述自己。
3．打开书。
学生两人一组，描述本课所提供图片中人物，教师予以帮助。
教师也可考虑利用自己带来的人物图片，请学生描述。
如在描述中学生有困难，教师可采用提问形式，逐步引导出所描述内容。
数分钟后，请几位学生试着描述。
教师予以讲评。
4．教师采用同样提问方式，与学生进行问答，从而引出本课第2部分内容：T：Now look at Picture l．What are they doing？Ss：They’re going to the park．T：Now look at Picture 2．What are they doing now？Ss：They’re boating in the middle of the lake．教师可以将每三张图为一组，要求学生将这三张图的答案集中起来，形成连贯的句子。
如：It’s Saturday．Han Mei and her parents are going to the park．Look！They’re boating in the middle of the lake．Now they’re eating bread，because they’re hungry…．如果所教学生程度好，整体水平高，可以让学生自行根据图片内容，两人一组进行描述。
数分钟后，请几位同学在班上给出自己的描述，教师予以讲评。
5．要求学生用书面形式，将上面进行的口头描述写出。
6．指导学生做练习册习题（用笔头形式）。
7．布置作业完成练习册习题。
