情景对话话题汇总

08级第2学期情景对话话题汇总
注：每个话题下会有几个不同的具体情景, 情景设计源于每单元后的课后口语作业和学生用书PART C中的口语活动，现将具体情景汇总如下。

1、Talking about last vacation
Y our Last V acation (P.19)
Y ou went away last vacation. Tell your partner about your trip.
2、Electronic and Computer Accessories
Situation 1:
Y ou are on the phone talking with your father or mother and asking him/her to buy you a notebook computer or a MP4 player. Y our father/mother has the money but he/she wants to make sure what you use it for.
Situation 2:
One of your classmates needs an E-mail address but he/she does not know how to apply for one. Tell him/her how to get it.
3、Seeing a doctor
Situation:
Y ou meet a friend of yours in front of your resident hall (学生宿舍楼). Y our friend has just seen a doctor and still looks pale. Y ou enquire about the problem and the treatment given by the doctor and offer to help when needed. Y ou ask your friend to take a good rest and not to worry about classes.
4、Asking and giving directions
Situation 1:
Student A is going to have a reunion party at Guixiangyuan Canteen (桂香园). Student A invites his/her friend, Student B, who is studying at Wuhan University, but Student B does n’t know how to get there.
Situation 2:
Student A is at Teaching Building 8, A is going to watch a basketball match at the CCNU Stadium but he/she doesn’t know how to get there. Student A asks Student B for the directions.
Situation 3:
May Day is coming but you are not going home. Y our mother/father misses you very much, so she/he is going to see you at your university. Tell her/him how to get to your dorm from one of the university gates.
5、Shopping
Situation 1:
A customer wants to buy a hat, but all of them are too small. The sales clerk tries very hard to find a hat large enough.
Situation 2:
A customer wants to buy a pair of pants, but all the pants are too tight. The sales clerk tries very hard to find a pair of pants large enough.
Situation 3:
A customer wants to buy a pair of shoes, but all shoes are too large. The sales clerk tries very hard to find a pair of shoes small enough.
6、Asking and giving advice
Situation 1:
A is a freshman who has difficulty paying for his/her tuitions (学费). He/She is considering finding a part-time job.
B is now a sophomore and works part-time as a tutor (家教). A asks B for advice and B offers him some.
Situation 2:
Student A has got an invitation to a dance party, but he/she always feels bad at dance parties. Student B is giving A some advice and encouraging him/her to the dance party.
7、Talking about an unpleasant trip
P 95 Situation 3:
Y ou have just come back from a four-day trip to the Y ellow Mountains. During the four days, you were caught in heavy rain which stopped the operation of the cable car. Y ou had to stay in the open for the night because the hotel was overbooked. Y ou missed the sunrise because you were too sleepy and you broke your ankle while you were descending from a mountain. Finally the train was delayed for two hours on your way back home. Now you are complaining to a friend who is also planning a trip there in the coming week.
Situation 4:
Y ou are flying for the first time. Y our friend is telling you about the procedures for checking in, boarding, luggage claiming and some safety regulations on the plane. Y ou also want to know what luggage you can carry onboard and what luggage has to be checked in.
8、Talking about the places you live in
Situation 1:
Y ou are going to move off campus and looking for a room which is quiet and not too expensive. Y ou found an ad from the newspaper about the house for rent. Now you are calling or visiting the landlord.
Situation 2:
Student A is living in the college Dorm on campus, but his classmate Student B shares an apartment outside the campus with another student from other college. Both A and B are discussing the relative advantages and disadvantages of the two ways of living.。
