往年都是研究生入学后进行英语考试，按成绩分班。
今年是按照你研究生考试的英语成绩分班的，超过61（含61）的可以免修英语，那样你不用上课就拿到了6个学分（今年研究生要求34-38个学分），这样可以大大减轻你学习的压力，所以最好能够考过61分。明年的情况估计和今年差不多。
一般都是专业课加试，面试。面试主要是英语，相关专业课的一些知识。最好能够对所报专业有关的知识有个起码的要求（尤其是跨专业的考生），这个工作可以等初试结束后做。考试完了如果觉得还行，就要开始准备复试。重点是复试的专业课，那个是笔试。
今年自动化学院专业课考试中低于65分（满分150）的都要再考试一次，其实就是学院给你台阶下。
如果面试中老师问的问题你实在不会，你就直接说你不会，老师一般不会为难你的。而且面试的时候一般带你的导师也在场，所以别的老师会给你台阶下。但是我觉得你最好能避免上面2种情况的发生。
6，选导师
选导师一定要早动手，而且要量力而行。如果对自己的考分很有自信，可以考试完了给相关的导师联系。一般分数公布后要立刻联系你想跟的导师。可以发email，打电话，不过我觉得最好你直接来学校找导师谈谈。最后不要等到复试才去找导师。也不用担心没导师带你，如果你上了分数线就一定有导师带你的，问题是跟什么样的导师。
